  1. "stumps up" = commits to pay

"downside guarantee" = even if ticket sales are poor, M will still be paid an agreed minimum by the local promoter.

(i.e, M's people want the local promoter to take all the risk if tickets dont sell out, and to meet the requested minimum, they would need to be able to virtually sell out at very high prices, which would have any local promoter worried given sales to date.)

OH GOD if thats the case i cant imagine any promoter fronting up with the cash. given the ticket prices will be high, they will be worried about not selling out. Its too much of a gamble for a promoter i would have thought.

  2. Well, ticketmaster is STILL selling tickets for Miami on August 29th and the 30th... So I call bullshit on it too!

God, my universe stopped for a second.

Yes I just checked TM too.... Surely they would have stopped selling if this was true.

  3. Actually i heard no song from MDNA being played on local Radio and Ghosttown is the ONLY new song of M's i have heard on local radio. So its doing better than the last album for radio play at least. I dont think album sales/airplay will really effect concert tix sales as its been so long since she has been here and most people will look at it as a chance in a lifetime to see a global superstar. the tix prices on the other hand may effect sales. but if she's only doing a couple of concerts in each main city (Melbourne and Sydney) tix will definitely sell out! It wouldnt surprise me if she didnt do any concerts in Brisbane.

  4. I was just offerered sec 113 at Ticketmaster. For an average concert goer that IS a great section.

Oh OK i was looking at the interactivity map. Yes there are tix in 113 and 121 but right at the back. I would have thought the general public would think $373 for tix at the back of that section was a lot, but that's just me.

Sounds like you have amazing tix! Bring on the concerts!!!!

  5. Im still waiting for a second Chicago night.... although there are still good seats available at TicketMaster and over 500 seats available on the resale section. Ouch.

Good seats still available for Chicago? I must be looking at the wrong map . either that or my idea of a good seat is quite different to yours . (Excluding resale of course because I don't think the promoter would count those because they have been sold and the have collected their money for them already) I am sure people are waiting for a second show to get good seats. Let's hope they do put on a second show.

  6. If she does arenas in Sydney and Melbourne only how many fricken shows is she going to do?

I'm confident a tour will sell really well down under. Now I know she's not popular with a young crowd and alot of the bitchy old queens have disowned her HOWEVER we need to consider this is an artist that FUCK LOADS of people in their 20's, 30's and 40's grew up with. That's multiple generations most of whom have never seen her in concert. It's not all teens and gays that would go to a Madonna concert. She has a much wider audience than you may think, just because they don't buy her recent albums doesn't mean people won't rush to see her in concert. There are the fans from the 80's then there are all the Ray of Lighters, Confessions kids etc etc.

Remember when Prince went down under afew years back the tour was a big success. And he hasn't had a hit since the 90's. And he'd toured there last in 2003.

I do think she should do at least Brisbane as well. And Auckland.

Very true. one main point why Prince is so popular is he performs all his old hits, sadly i think M will mostly do RH and this may put many people off especially if the prices are as high (or higher) than rolling stones. If she did a greatest hits tour it would l out without question. She may change the setlist a little for us, but she's still going to mainly do RH.

  7. 52 so far Euro USA

3 more maybe Euro / USA?

    15 Australasia (10 Oz + 5 Japan)

    Total: 70 shows

    My prediction (yeah)

I read somewhere that they were coming M had committed to 12 days in Australia. So if that is correct seeing as she doesn't perform on Fridays and, if the fact she won't do more that 3 concerts a week is true, and the fact she won't do more than 2 concerts back to back , we will most likely get 6 concerts in Australia . I guess we will just have to wait and see if all the rumours are true lol.
