It's only us hardcore fans that are frantically waiting for the announcement of the Australian dates. Every person I talk to here in Australia, many of them frequent concert goers, don't even know M is touring , let alone the possibility she might be touring Australia. Maybe this lack of interest could be partially responsible for the delay..... Promotors must be nervous about guaranteeing Ms fee if they are concerned about having to sell out venues to make their money back. Hopefully we will get the announcement soon.

Someone just told me Barbara Streisand charged up to $1500 a ticket in Oz back in the 1990's !!!

Yes she did.... I paid that and it was so worth it to see her once in a lifetime up close and in fine form.

And some of you people are dreaming if you think that just because she hasn't toured here in years that she can charge whatever she wants and it will sell out.
This tour will struggle to sell if the prices are as ludicrous as some people suggest...

Yes i do remember this and I agree she doesn't give a rats about the prices. She has also made it clear and she certainly doesn't care about the average Australian (or any Australian for that matter) by not touring here for over 23 years LOL. But that doesn't mean people will buy exorbitantly priced tix (by Australian standards). I'm sure she will care if the arenas are half empty due to tix not selling (meaning she will cancel lol). It will be interesting to see what the final prices are and whether they sell or not as the prices we are talking about atm are all guess work really. time will tell i guess.

All of the floor and the lower tiers in the US for Confessions were the equivalent of $AUD500 nine years ago. Ipex said that the prices were going to be "the highest ever seen in this country". That record is currently held by The Rolling Stones, who charged $580 for the best tickets. We're not looking at $AUD450 here (that's what we would have been paying for Confessions in 2006) - we're talking at least $600. This is just speculation, of course, but remember that we paid $200 for the best tickets in a stadium in 1993. We'll be seeing her in (relatively) tiny arenas this time around, with a catwalk that basically extends to the back of the floor, so we're going to be paying through the nose....
Wow I can't imagine them selling out if tix are $600 or more each. Joe public simply won't pay that much. No wonder the promoter is nervous about paying up front ( if that's true) do you think the public will pay that sort of money in Australia?yes Rolling Stones charged that for the entire floor and most the lower stands plus the VIP were double that I think. But they also only did one night in each city. For m to sell out multiple nights in each venue at those prices I just can't see that happening. Australians just aren't used to those prices. Maybe if just one concert in each city she could sell out but that's not going to cover the overheads I wouldn't think. Btw I hate to think what the VIP prices are going to be if this is an indication of the normal tix prices!

I don't really think she does care about what fans think or whether they stay or go at this stage, other than the lost $$$ it will mean of course. Her actions speak much louder than her Instagram post after all.... Bitch She's Madonna.... she'll do whatever the hell she wants too LOL.

Unless you think she is going to tour for an entire year I don't think South America/Asia/Australia will all get the tour.
Exactly and if anything as she gets older she would be looking at making the tours shorter not longer.

Madonna will cancel all January concerts when she remembers she is a mother and needs to be there for her children.

Madonna would sell out Australia wide at the right price! But the general public won't pay crazy prices and they need the general public to fill the seats. I would love her to do multiple concerts like Pink but they simply would not sell out at the prices they would be charging. Pinks top teer price was less than $150 and the VIP packs topped out at $450 . That's why she could fill arenas over and over. Looking at US prices I think the top teer seat price for Australia will have to be $450 or more, which I would be surprised if many general public would pay in enough volume to sell out a venue. Not to mention I dread to think what the VIP prices will be for Australia, but only hardcore fans will buy those anyway and they (we) will pay whatever we have to lol. But again I would be surprised if they sell out the VIP packs. Madonna would not commit the time and effort to doing that many concerts in Australia either. Pink did around 60 concerts in Australia for funhouse and almost all sold to capacity.
Also didn't M say the tour had to end in Feb as she had a movie project she was starting in March? That would mean no more touring after Feb.

I am totally ignoring any rumours of when tour announcement will be. It's too stressful waiting for the date to arrive only to be let down with nothing happening. It will happen when (if) it happens.
