The Billboard article about Batuka also mentions that this is the sixth video “so far” (Refinery 29 makes the same mention). I wonder if we’re in for even more?!

Hoping for a video set in Morocco!

I just watched the World of Madame X documentary again and there are still so many visuals!! There is no way she went through all that trouble creating different looks just for a documentary. I’m convinced there will be more videos!

But I think we would have known since we pretty much knew about all the other videos being shot.
This Madame X album is screaming for a Eurythmics type Savage video album. I like how the dark haired Madame is more serious and grounded while the blonde haired Madame is more flirty and flighty.

She's gorgeous with that haircut. Oh and the video is amazing too!
Serving us with a new look in those colorful dresses & looking younger with her short banged dark bob with slight gentle waves to it!

The standard edition also has the nice cover, and some pics not in the deluxe edition. They all serve their purpose.
That's the beauty of the Madame X era. Lots of powerful imagery & artistic videos being served after a 4 year drought.

I agree totally.
I have both versions myself but I agree with you firstly the standard cover is so beautiful much better in real life as much I love the other cover and both have great flows.
Exactly
The standard cover has more of a deeper personal meaning for her. Representing her mother and her favorite artist Frida Kahlo. Really glad it was chosen as the vinyl cover too.

Her hair & look is everything!!! The majestic video makes me love the song even more. She looks like she was smiling & having a great time with the Batuka ladies.
The Queen needs her own Savage type video album! Still not too late

Has anyone yet managed to work out the point of the Standard edition yet?
The standard album cover gives us LIFE. The 13 tracks really flow just as well as the 15/18 versions.

she must laugh at how her fans are obsessed with her hair
M's hair is part of the Madonna Mystique since the beginning. It may have thinned out over the years with the constant bleaching & styling but for the most part her hair still looks pretty damn good for her age.

I dont get her love for super short bangs
also i wouldnt hype it up too much, i could be wrong, but it looks like if she just recorded her scenes in a studio and the batukadeiras are out and about lisbon
Be happy she has dark hair in the video!

Can't wait!!!!! Wish had kept the brunette look for the entire era
Yes!!!! She can still pull off dark hair with MX pics and music videos. Instead we got the usual blonde Rita Hayworth waves or low Princess Leia buns for those promo interviews and the few performances. I can't wait for the Batuka video tomorrow from the clip I've seen she looks stunning with the dark brown bob with the short bangs.

GC should be charting the top 40's by now yet shit like Old Town Road and other crap are clogging the BB Hot 100.

"Batuka" wasn't one of my favorites when I first heard it (the repetition, but then I "got" it), but I've come to enjoy it. Looking forward to the video.
Same....Madame X is a grower type of album that needs repeated listening or seeing the visuals.

Great that it will be online on Friday..Love Batuka!!! I hope she pull ot more Videos form MX. A Complete Video Album would be awesome imo!!!
I seen video albums from Blondie, Eurythmics/Annie Lennox, & Beyonce. Some look cheap as hell but still seeing each or most songs with a visual was outstanding. I think the plastic surgery freak made a ton of videos for Bad & Dangerous.

I Rise is debuting at #26 in the Billboard Dance Club Play Songs chart

I really don't get why aren't the remixes released on iTunes etc.
I Rise needs to be her 48th Dance Club Play #1.

^Yah- sounds good.
For extended counts, "Paradise (Not For Me)" and "Iconic: could be fourth clips for Music and Rebel Heart, respectively. Then there's also "Nobody Knows Me," though that was years after American Life; but it could still count as a video. I forget what kind of footage "Best Friend" had as a video interlude.
Hoping she features prominently in "Batuka, with her "castmates."
Batuka Friday!!! Love when M rocks the dark hair. I think I counted videos that were official and played on MTV/VH1 back in the day (before Reality Shows killed the Video Stars). The ones you mentioned definitely defined their respective eras.

GT- are we counting "Bye Bye Baby" from the VMAs as a video? Tour backdrop videos could extend an album's count, too, if produced in that era.
Looking forward to the "Batuka" video.
Yeah, I counted the Bye Bye Baby video
it did help promote the Erotica album. We got an international single release out of it when she toured & filmed The Girlie Show!

Lisa doesn't appear to be faking her love for M unlike some of those YouTube reactors (more interested in the likes & subscribers than the artist)
-
She ties Erotica for most music videos from one studio album! I'm hoping she has another couple more Madame X vids under her long black gloves.
Music Video Count
Erotica - 6, Madame X - 6, True Blue - 5, Like A Prayer - 5, Ray Of Light - 5, Madonna - 4, Bedtime Stories - 4, American Life - 4, Confessions On A Dancefloor - 4, Like A Virgin - 3/4 (Into The Groove), Music - 3, Hard Candy - 3, MDNA - 3 ,Rebel Heart - 3

Y'all know what to do next time Madonna releases a new album! Avoid those friggin pre-orders (unless it's Amazon) from her 'official' store!
I'm glad I stuck to Amazon or eBay. Less hassle and I got my stuff on time!
