I was one to not like her personality, but this song is making me change that.
She seems to really feel what she is saying. Like:
I don't wanna talk about it right now
Just hold me while I cry my eyes out
I have had that feeling. She sung and put it perfectly.

I can't explain! It's hard for me to compartmentalize with music. I know it's similar with remixes, but those seem more specific in their intention. I did like hearing the acoustic version of Love Spent.
But whereas a lot of you want to see her process and experience everything, I just want the official version. Too much other stuff tends to overwhelm me. I'm an odd one lol.
Aren't you glad you asked?
I totally agree about just wanting to hear the official version. Because those will tend to be better quality anyway. I would hate to hear a demo version, love it, and then not have that version on the album. I would rather fall in love with the official version first, put it on a pedestal, and not feel disappointed. I feel like I would be disappointed right now, had I heard the demos.

^ Yesssssssss to the chorus and bridge! But also the verses! This is a career highlight! Bring those melodies Queen.
I need it to be a single. I can already picture the video.

What’s that song saying?
It’s kind of a social commentary about the way everybody hooks up now and the lack of intimacy. When I made my “Sex” book I was being incredibly ironic, but I was also saying, “Look, it’s not only a man’s place to objectify a woman -- a woman can objectify herself too.” In the song “S.E.X.,” when I do the sort of rap in the middle and I do the list, I made myself sound like I have a lisp. Go back and listen to it. It’s meant to be ironic -- even though there’s some very handy items on that list.
“Holy Water” does that a little bit too. The double entendres are so over the top.
At this point all my songs about sex have to be tongue in cheek. There’s no other way I can approach it. Since exploring sexuality has been such a big part of my career as an artist, I felt like I wanted to address it, but almost from a voyeuristic way, like I’m on the outside looking in.
In a way these songs don’t even seem interested in pleasure. “S.E.X.” talks about breaking the bed, but you don’t sound like you’re having much fun.
Hmm.
There’s a loneliness to it, which I suppose is the voyeurism.
I don’t think love is involved. But remember that I did the record with Kanye, and he has a very specific point of view about sexuality, which I find amusing. It’s not meant to be sexy.
What if a listener doesn’t grasp that?
Well, let’s face it: There’s lot of subtleties in life that are hard for most people to grasp. Don’t you think?
She seems so well-spoken.

I love this album so much.
Inside Out needs to be a single. The chorus is beautiful. So is the bridge.
I love 13 songs off the super-deluxe album. I could picture more growing on me.

I think the song is so sexy, tbh.
If I weren't positive radio would ban it, I think it would be an okay single.
Or at least a good club single.

(I was gonna say Ghosttown, but that has already happened!)
Inside Out
Hold Tight
Joan of Arc
If only the radio would let S.E.X. be a single.

Bowing to the chorus, tbh.

I love the lyrics so much.
I'll cast a spell that you can't undo
Till you wake up and you find that you love me too
I mean. Wow.

I have been playing these on a loop on Spotify. I plan on buying the album, too:
Living for Love
Ghosttown
Joan of Arch
Inside Out
Hold Tight
Messiah
My whole list of songs I really like from the album though:
Bitch, I'm Madonna
Ghosttown
Hold Tight
Illuminati
Inside Out
Joan of Arch
Living for Love
Messiah
Rebel Heart
S.E.X.
Unapologetic Bitch
Wash All Over Me
I have about twelve songs I have been playing on a loop, but I guess those ones the most.
"GHOSTTOWN" (single number 2)

I love when a song I love gets an official video.
