  1. Oh is not just them and yes you are right if they want to feel proud of the location of their birth (irrelevant shit) then good for them I guess. I just hope no one with a fucking flag is in front of me when i attend the show next month.

You may not be happy with one of Madonna's costumes.... or the whole Girlie Show tour :(

  2. why can't she perform on friday?

Routa yes def Kelly she always talks about her on her show and cooper too when he went to the MDNA tour I remember him saying he tried to touch her but the security guard stopped him. lol

    Friday is the sabbath

  3. I noticed there are 2 back to back NYC shows then 2 days until the Brooklyn show I wonder why there's a gap. we need no caps Madonna everyday. LMAO!

True, but I don't think she's performing 3 days in a row at any point on this tour. Plus I don't think she performs on Friday as a general rule

  4. Tomorrow and Thursday both had seats lowered to $125 but they sold out in minutes. A lot of 360 tickets are now 175 too. Should have done this ages ago.

Ugh I would've bought those!! Hopefully they do the same for Barclay's

  5. Wait, just how intimate is the RHT venue in Macau? A L'Olympia-ish video / broadcast sounds like a great idea, but I do hope she doesn't cut short the show like she did with MDNAT.

And if she does film the Macau show(s), I hope she still releases an arena DVD / BD. Madonna concerts ought to be big, even on home video. XD

    Apparently its 5,000 people

  6. hi, i didn't know where to post it but i found this on the pop justice forum

Backdrop video for Bitch I'm Madonna is problematic. I can't believe, even artist like Madonna, is completely oblivious to what Japan's Rising Sun flag means to some countries in east asia and what it represents. It's equivalent to an artist using Nazi flag on concet but who cares because Japanese is kawaii~. Sigh. She's not touring asia, is she? I just find it baffling this thing is still happening in 2015. I know she's fan of Japan but some research couldn't hurt.

should we let Guy know? especially when HD videos are gonna show up and she's gonna go to asia.. im sure she or the video directors were just ignorant about it.

This is only sort of correct. The flag is indeed controversial in South Korea and China (but so are many many things related to Japan). It is not, however, much like using the Nazi flag. The rising sun flag has a long history that pre-dates WWII and is still used in some forms til this day (for example its on Asahi beer, which is a popular brand sold all over the world).

  7. Much as I love Take a Bow, that would be a depressing song to sing in its place... I wouldn't mind Crazy For You, though. :nervous:

Yeah, all ballads aren't the same. La Vie is a very sweet love song, Take a Bow or You'll See wouldn't exactly make the most sense as replacements. (Although I would love TAB to get a chance). Thematically, Crazy for Love or a slow Borderline would work.

  8. How does this tour have more hits or am i missing something? Yes lotsa hits but pretty much every tours had a stack of hits

Only counting full performances, MDNA had: Hung Up, Express Yourself, Open Your Heart, Vogue, Like a Virgin, and Like A Prayer. That's 6. (and Hung Up and LAV were pretty hard to sing along to in those versions)

Rebel Heart has: Burning Up, True Blue, Deeper and Deeper, Like A Virgin, La Isla Bonita, Dress You Up, Who's That Girl, Music, Material Girl, and Holiday. That's 10, all in versions that the crowd can sing along to.

    I'd say that's a significant difference.

  9. Ok so there IS one thing that's kind of bugging me right now. I love the show, don't get me wrong, I think I've made that clear enough with my previous posts lol

But does anyone else feel like the setlist in the 1st act is a bit off? She starts off with two unknown songs, both of them having featurings too. Judging by these clips the show just really picks up pace once the second section kicks off and all the hits come flowing in. Given she is playing SO many hits this time, I feel like she could have distributed them more throughout the show i.e. in the first section too.

Plus aren't the first one or two performances the one they usually film for the press outlets etc. and thus basically promote the tour? You'd think, just by watching the clips of these two songs, she's in for another MDNA type of show when, in reality, this show has more hits than any other tour before. So not really wise to choose Iconic and BIM as the opening songs IMO.

That's fairly typical for her tours (except for RIT). If anything, hits are less important in the beginning because everyone is excited to see M and is overwhelmed with the visuals. The second half is where you need to stack hits, and that's exactly what she did.

Plus, I think BIM is above an unknown song. Not a mega-hit, but BIM and LFL are probably the two Rebel Heart songs people have some familiarity with. So having BIM and then Burning Up as the second and third songs is pretty strong.
