If true, I would be very satisfied with that set list. It has a great balance and brings the big hits towards the end which is what the people want.
-
Living for love would be a perfect ending
In my mind, I've always pictured Living for Love into Like a Prayer with a LFL reprise as the ending
-
Hmm I wonder whether continuing a tour she's been doing for six months or directing a film would be more fulfilling....
-
Cherish?
Well, I agree what you said about those bein her best albums... I guess it just keeps getting harder and harder to create a balanced set list each tour, BUT wth are Frozen, Secret, etc. She hasn't performed those in ages.
Don't Tell Me and Deeper & Deeper are the songs I look forward to the most.
While I love Frozen, she has performed it on 3 of the last 5 tours so it's hardly been ages. I would love a return of Secret, but it would probably require some sort of uptempo version. It's tough to include some of the slower songs because there's a lot of pressure to keep the action going

I became I fan during/right before Music. It wasn't really because of Music per se, that was just when I happened to discover Madonna. I believe my first Madonna items were the Immaculate Collection and a maxi single of Don't Cry for Me Argentina
-
Yeah I could see her skipping Ghosttown actually. Especially if she does another slow song from Rebel Heart instead (like Heartbreak City).
BIM I cannot see her skipping
-
I love Pretender.
Do people love Back in Business?? Cause that one is epic.
I'd Rather Be Your Lover is the jam
Mother and Father is my favorite from American Life
Some Girls is one of my favorites from MDNA

I wonder if they'll feel the need to do something special to drive up sales? I mean the sales aren't bad, for 99% of artists they would be considered great. It's just that Madonna has huge expectations and an expensive show.
It would be cool if they filmed one of the first few shows and put 3 or 4 performances on youtube, highlighting maybe BIM or LFL and a couple classics.
-
Lolz I always thought the crowd considered Open Your Heart a highlight on the MDNA Tour. It had a great energy, and while the music was different, it was sung in the original melody.
-
Holiday, Dress You Up, and Who's That Girl seem like the definites as she's mentioned them multiple times
-
Inside Out
Devil Pray
Living for Love
Bitch I'm Madonna
Heartbreak City
-
Imagine Secret done Erotica CT style with the original Shep Pettibone demo...
yes! this is something i've always wanted
-
yes! I'll be seeing her at Barclays, which is the 6th show. The earliest in a tour I've ever seen her.
-
So, do I think MDNA hurt her with regard to selling tickets with this tour? Yes. But I don't think we can say it is simply a matter of her not doing enough hits last time around.
I very much agree with this. I mean every time she tours she's a few more years removed from her commercial peak, so it would make sense the ticket sales go down. Plus, with DWT and RIT Madonna touring was still seen as a rare occurrence, which clearly isn't the case anymore. A lot of the general public might see her once in their lifetime because she's a legend but then are going to think "well I've done that." I mean the only people I've seen live multiple times are people I really like.
Having said all that, I still think pricing is the biggest issue this time around.

I would have 2 discs but not necessarily Rebel and Heart, just one more kind of guitar focused and the other more heavy, drum focused. It ends being sort of Rebel and Heart but I think that's a little too literal.
Disc One
1. Living for Love
2. Devil Pray
3. Heaven
4. Borrowed Time
5. Hold Tight (MNEK version)
6. Body Shop
7. Joan of Arc
8. Messiah (Demo version)
9. Rebel Heart (Avicci Version)
Disc Two
1. Heartbreak City
2. Unapologetic Bitch
3. Iconic
4. Bitch I'm Madonna
5. Holy Water
6. Best Night
7. Inside Out
8. Wash All Over Me
-
I feel like this was one of the most decisive moments on a Madonna tour ever.
I thought it was beautiful, vulnerable performance. But many a casual fan was pissed off trying to sing along to the original melody lolz
-
It's cool that a good amount of songs are being released in some capacity (Living for Love, Ghosttown, Bitch Im Madonna, Devil Pray, and now Hold Tight). I do wonder whether there will be a 'real' fourth single
-
She shouldn't do Macau. It's not safe.
What? Macau is very safe.

So I haven't really paid close attention to the tour situation this time around and didn't buy tickets when they went on sale. I checked Ticketmaster and the prices are totally exorbitant, but they're mostly from re-sellers. What are the face values for floor and first mezz this time around? And are we expecting her to add some additional NYC dates before 9/16? Looks like there are a few open days between DC and the MSG dates.
I wouldn't expect it. It's already very close to the NYC dates, and sales, while certainly good, haven't been amazing.
-
So from Rebel Heart she's mentioned: Devil Pray, Unapologetic Bitch, Iconic, Heartbreak City, Body Shop, Holy Water, SEX + presumably Living for Love, Ghosttown, and Bitch Im Madonna
That's already 10. 11 if you think Rebel Heart is also a good bet

I only knew she was with Gaultier at Christmas 89 to fit the stage closes with her brunette hair;). Do we know that she worked on other things at the time for the BAT?
It's not the same as rehearsing for the tour, but wasn't the '89 VMA performance of Express Yourself touted as a preview of her upcoming tour?
-
Really tired of anyone who expresses a desire to have a balance of RH songs and classics being pounded into the ground....! :/
If people are going to argue that it's called the RH Tour and, therefore, it is definitely going to feature a lot of RH tracks, how would those same people justify the number of HC tracks that appeared on the S&S Tour (if we're using the tour's name as an indication of the songs that she will perform)?
S&S featured 9/12 songs from Hard Candy (aka. a lot of the album) so I'm not sure what your point is

That was wicked thanks for posting. Shame they didn't use anyone other than pitbull
Yeah, it's great sans Pitbull haha
-
but maybe they just sent devil pray to radio to see what it'll do. but by the time the tour starts and she made a little interlude or video for devil pray on tour, will they upload it?
No they probably wouldn't, but not uploading a little interlude for a song they promotionally sent to radio in select countries two months prior is no tragedy.
Countdown to REBEL HEART Tour: less than a month to OPENING NIGHT!

Well if it is true, then presumably we wouldn't
