JustJared shared that link on twitter.

i will NEVER be able to explain that. its sounds like thunder or something. so distracting over those flawless vocals.
Sounds like thunder or the tide she's singing about. At first I was irritated by its sound, but now I appreciate how it kind of flows into the chorus.

The first thing I checked on the vinyl of Rebel Heart was the distortion on "Messiah" when the 2nd chorus starts.
Of course it's still there and the whole thing is the same master as the CD album. It's sad, but I didn't expect anything different tbh.
It puzzles me how an official release can sound this bad in 2015 when you think they should have the best technology ever, especially after so many years of professional recording, mixing and mastering. But it's the opposite. I've never heard so many bad mastered albums than in recent years with almost no dynamic range, loudness and distortion. Unbelievable...

Isn't it odd that the first side has four tracks and the last side only has two? Surely they could have spread them out more equally?
What do you mean? There's 4 sides with sides 1-3 having 5 tracks each and side 4 containing 4 tracks.

I really like the vibe of "Take A Day"!

I think the mastering of ALL "Rebel Heart" releases is really bad, but I'm quite surprised at how good the vinyl sounds. The mastering is still bad, but the pressing is rather good.
Imo it's way better than MDNA.

Has anyone else noticed how clear her upper register is and the way she is hitting high notes, particularly on this song, chorus of WAOM, certain parts of Messiah, and the Ellen performance of Ghosttown?
Absolutely! Her voice is so crystal clear on some of the songs. She sounds so confident again, love it!

Did she wear that dress before?

What does Madonna say at 0:41 right before they sing together?
-
Did she sing the demo version of JOA? Because that was exquisite.
Close to the demo, but actually it was similar to the acoustic version of the song which leaked a few weeks ago.

JOAN OF FUCKING ARC WAS SOOOOO AMAZING!!!

I only see a frozen image when I click on that link.

WELL...YOU CAN'T COMPARE WITH TOURS....IF I WAS HER I'D BE OUT OF BREATH AFTER ONE SONG..LET'S FIGURE HIGH NOTES..
But that makes it even more amazing, because vocally she's usually better on tour than during her promo before that.

She sounds awesome!

People really think that Madonna sat down with Avicii's writing team to come up with a bunch of DIRGES? (and yes I know what she said about being able to play every song on the piano or guitar, that means nothing) WAOM was most likely intended as a dance track from the start.... and in the end NO-ONE KNOWS for sure, so don't bother refuting it. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.
When the first demos leaked, Kanye West was already involved in the project and WAOM had most likely already changed by then. Btw the final version has the exact vocals that were in Demo1 (acoustic). After that they tried it as a dance track. Imo it's obvious that this was originally intended to be a ballad, because Madonna delivered rather soft vocals that didn't suit the dance arrangements. The final version is much closer to the original, first demo.

LFL seems to be the only known track we know of that she's rather indifferent about. In the mojo interview she mentioned how she prefers the 1989 house version. And the two alternate versions that leaked, which were supposed to be bonus tracks, show that the song was still being worked on even during its release in December. The video mix even uses one of those versions.
Huh? The video has the album version, only with additional effects...

I love that song. Prefer the layered (or vocodered?!) vocals in the chorus of the demo version, but the rest sounds better polished in the final mix.

Works for me in Germany, too!

Do you think the lyrics aren't printed in the booklet, because they had to rush the release and didn't want to print WRONG producers etc., because there were so many versions of several songs?
-
I wish they would have used inside the b&w Joan of Arc pic. It's a shame the vinyl doesn't have a booklet. But oh well...
True, the JOA pic would've looked GREAT on lp size.
Oh well, at least we get that gorgeous cover in all its glory!

They have to roll out the red carpet first.

I love that song, especially the harmonies during the last chorus!
