[HARD CANDY APPRECIATION THREAD]

Am I the only one who loves to show love to the entire Hard Candy Era??! The album, the tour, the promo pictures, EVERYTHING. I still don't see why critics reacted so harshly to it. Songs like She's Not Me, Dance 2Night and Candy Shop will get me dancing at any given moment.

Who else here likes Hard Candy as much as me??

I was surprised how light the RS mag was. I know they shrunk the size of the magazine down, but it was like they aldi shrunk the amount of pages too

I've had a subscription for a year now and they've all been consistently that size. I guess it's just because I didn't really bother with magazines till I subscribed to RS and that's why I didn't notice the size. But they are thin.

These aren't songs that I necessarily hate, just songs that are guaranteed a skip. I don't think I truly hate anything in M's discography, but some of these (namely B-Day song) make me cringe...

What are people's experiences with pre-orders? Usually arrive the day of release, one day after, several days after? Usually in good condition or cracked? I almost always go to the store for my physicals but debating pre-ordering for first time.

With iTunes and Amazon, I usually get digital downloads at midnight. Physical preorders through Amazon typically come one day prior to release or the day of. I can't speak for everyone though because I have prime and that guarantees that preorders placed by a certain day will come on release day.

EDIT-------- I forgot to answer your question about stuff coming cracked or damaged. In the years that I have been buying music from Amazon, there have only been a few occasions where things have come slightly damaged, even then, Amazon is quick to send me a refund or a new copy.

Couldn't agree more! I love prowess behind it. It shows more of the REBEL sound of the album. So for it to be a second single would be fitting because you'd have part heart (Living for Love) and then part rebel (Unapologetic Bitch) to represent both of the themes.

I'm fairly young and I can say that literally no one near my age even listens to the radio. I use an aux chord most of the time because if I had to listen to "Blank Space" by Taylor Swift 5 times in an hour, I'd off myself. So their argument about reaching a target audience is irrelevant because their so called target audience barely exists.
