  1. Wow…these desperate trolls are at it again using this to make yet another blatant ageist commentary on Madonna. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-3036560/Madonna-56-makes-Drake-28-onstage-Coachella-doesn-t-notice-look-horror-walks-off.html

Prepare to read one of the most absurd age bashing article yet…they have spun everything and assumed everything!

Also, did she even perform Express Yourself or did they just make that shit up as well?

  2. Its not about Ghosttown working or not working…..I think the focus is too put as much out there as possible and promote the album as a whole. Ghosttown for the attention it is getting I think has kept this album from sinking worse and couple that with more promotion and now the album is at one of its highest points on the iTunes chart since its first couple of weeks!

  3. Sonically this album feels a little like a modern version of Erotica , but it has hints of ROL and AL and BS. Some of the imagery feels Erotica such as the font on the album and the cover of the Super Deluxe.

I do think that this will be an album like Erotica that will be seen in a better and better light as time goes on an a important Madonna album.

  4. Something being a business does not exempt it from having aspects of it being a "farce". I believe "in general" the radio stations influence what their listeners listen to more than the other way around. It is also largely a sales game heavily pushed by the labels to teenagers who are the prime demo for most top 40. These listeners more than anyone tend to be followers more than music listeners who seek out their own taste. Rather that works in favor of Madonna or against is irrelevant to my opinion.

AC is a different animal as it caters to a vastly different audience who wants to hear what they liked when they grew up…Madonna's 80s hits more than anyone is the soundtrack to their youth, I grew up during it so believe me I know what it was like.

  6. Have formulas changed multiple times in the last decade? I remember when the American Life singles (Nothing Fails,Love Profusion) got zero airplay but were at the top of the sales chart, yet did not chart on the Hot 100.

Now she is getting airplay but sales are keeping her off the chart? So do sales count more now than they did in 2003?

Regardless I am proud of LFL.

2003 was a complete different animal…..it was that period when physical singles had diminished and were a tiny tiny market and before the digital single industry came about and exploded.

Sales were small and not a big factor at all.

  7. Hmmm. Songs on deluxe editions are generally viewed as 'bonus tracks'...songs that are not up to par with the standard album. For example, it would've been unfair if critics took into account Fighting Spirit in their review of COAD - it's a good song but definitely not as great as the actual album.

However in this case, all 19 tracks of RB should be reviewed cause they'll be missing out on songs like Best Night and Messiah (which critics would love as they expect Madge to be making songs like this now). So I'm confused why Q didn't really like the album as there's more to like than dislike when reviewing 19 tracks.

Things have changed…..back then , it was just a cd with maybe a bonus song or two…. now it is expected to have a standard and deluxe version. They really do not even call them bonus songs anymore.

  8. I can't decide whether I want it to be an interlude or a full-on performance. An interlude could be so epic, but I want her to do the song live too, since it's my fave off the album. It'll slay souls anyway.

I have been thinking about the tour and this is going to be the most crushing tour song selection….A great album with so many tracks means many of these great tracks will not get performed which makes me ill.

I wish she would do a complete Rebel Heart tour with just the new material!
