Madonna not that great at videos !
I know people are entitled to their own opinions but Good Grief, that is so wrong. Let me list some videos for you.

These alone are better than virtually any video made by anyone. Saying Madonna is not that good at video clips is like saying Van Gough is not good at painting.
Seriously, most of these fall into the 3 categories I described before. The only ones I find interesting are bolded.
Why are y'all having meltdowns over someone else's taste lol. I can understand y'all stanning for her videos but "story videos" like PDP, LAP, Secret, etc. just aren't my thing. I need colors or prettiness to explode in my face lol

I wonder how long it took to make Katy Perry's "Unconditional" video.
That's one of my favorite videos ever, actually. It's beautiful.
But like I said, to each his own. I've never considered Madonna to be a "video clip artist". Some artists are more about the music, some are about the lives, some are about the videos. I always considered Madonna to fall into the former two categories.

I really can't get into Best Night... Listening to it now... Can't hear what she's saying, no idea what the melody is, it's a total mess to me. The only thing I adore is the "Justify My Love" quote. But from the 3 "sexual songs", if she had to include one, I would go for Best Night. The other 2 are so vulgar, leave that literal porn talk to Miley Cyrus and Nicki Minaj.
You're fine. That one small statement just kind of reminded me of some reviewers I've come across before.
There are people who review the demos with "omg these songs are clearly not polished, poor production, blah blah blah". Duh! They are demos, we already know that.
P.S. and sorry but I just don't agree that 90% are barely listenable! They are VERY listenable lol I can't stop playing them!Oh, that's very true.
That's why I am reluctant to judge the demos... With the right production, some of these songs could become amazing.
Edit: Actually I wouldn't mind Holy Water, because it's strangely sexual in a nice way, but I'd hate to see it replace a song like Inside Out.

You're nuts!
Most of Madonna's videos are either:
- Photoshoot video
- "Short-movie" style (Papa Don't Preach, Take A Bow, etc.)
- Take 1 concept and go on and on without any variation (Human Nature, etc.).
All boring to me. I like artistic, visually stimulating, high budget videos. She has some: GMAYL, 4 Minutes, American Life (original), Bedtime Stories, etc.
But overall I find her videos rather dull. Artists like Jolin Tsai and Katy Perry are more my taste. Madonna is more of a "performer" than a video clip artist to me. But to each his own, that's totally fine.

In my humble opinion, the short answer to the question in the title of this thread is no, she wasn't.
You guys can insist that she was, but c'mon. She was a lot more involved with W.E. than the album.
But I still like MDNA. It will be interesting to see what songs Madonna chooses from MDNA for tours and how she reworks them to fit current era.
I'd be fine if she never picked a song from MDNA again for a future tour. The rest of her catalogue is way too good to fill a spot with something from that album.

Madonna live at Paris Olympia, at least for me, was nerve-wracking. I was truly upset.
I was so happy that she let the Paris crowd down like that, haha. One of my least favorite cities in the world in terms of people living there.

There is absolutely no problem with tasting all flavors of the ice cream.
I've always hated the reactions to her dating the "toy boys". She works hard to keep herself in great shape and looking fantastic why shouldn't she go after what she wants? Not everyone you date has to be a potential husband. In fact, I think what she did after being in a marriage (that apparently wasn't the happiest in its last years) for 8 yrs is completely normal. It's long been rumored that Madonnas "type" is the darker featured guys and Jesus and Brahim fit that bill. I'm certainly not saying everyone here would jump at the chance to get into bed with Jesus or Brahim, but all of us have a physical type that really DOES IT for us. Anyone here saying that they wouldn't jump at the opportunity to be with that "type" if it were the right time in your life is lying.It's East Asian for me, the whole South-American / South-Europe look is a huge turn off for me. Either Oriental or Aryan, although I've never dating a white guy before. I just can't be bothered to make the effort, lol.
But yeah -- unrelated to Madonna -- it's totally fine to have a "type", as long as it doesn't turn into a creepy fetish where you like EVERY guy of that type. Then it just gets weird and it's shallow. I always keep far away from "potato queens" or whatever you want to call guys who have a thing for every single guy who is white, blonde and good-looking like me.

Finally got around to listening to ALL demos... Note that this opinion is based on what we have so far, but 90% of these demos sound really, REALLY demo stage and is barely listenable.

1st single: big budget in yo face
2nd: fashion photography video (some better than others, Don't Tell Me and Give it 2 Me come to mind)
