Bitch has posted another photo of the twins.
I think the more we complain the more she will post

I know it’s a little off-topic, but I was just reading an interview with someone from BMG and the way they’ve planned the release strategy for Dido’s upcoming album seems really sensible. Couldn’t help but wonder if Interscope will do a less shitty job this time around... And it also made me wonder if the lack of a proper record company might’ve jeopardized Madonna’s career in any way. Here’s part of the interview:
"And Norbury stresses that Still On My Mind is very much a worldwide concern. “For BMG, this is probably our moment to really have a huge international success,” he declares. “There isn’t a country in the world where Dido doesn’t have a big previous sales history so we have a lot of work to do. We will be launching simultaneously in continental Europe, the UK and the US – there is a lot of US activity being planned.
“The campaign is going to run for 18 months so we have plans to take us all the way through to spring/early summer 2020. We want to achieve the most success possible, but the most important thing is that we have longevity. We don’t want a week one record, we don’t want a record that burns bright and then disappears, we want a record that’s going to sell throughout. Do we want a No.1 album? We’d love a No.1 album. Internationally, we think this is going to be our biggest album of this year.”
“Of course we want it to be massively successful, but I want us to have a good time doing it,” adds Logan. “It’s going to be hard work and it will take time, but she’s made a fantastic album that I think is going to cut through. She has made a record that sounds like a Dido 2019 record. It’s contemporary but without chasing a trend. It’s going to be an exciting year.” -

@robster, did you post your art anywhere else? If not, then Madonna has been reading this forum

Take this with a pinch of salt but a Madonna fan I started talking to recently who seems to have some info regarding a change in schedule and the reasons for it. I'm not sure if there is any truth to this but wanted to share anyway since it is pretty interesting. Appearently the record was ready to be released August 2018, it was produced by her and Mirwais but somewhere along the way it was decided (not by her from what I understood) that it didn't include any hits or any song that would appeal to the mainstream.
Not impossible. August would’ve been good marketing wise and she did tease Beautiful Game. Why would she if it were just an album track? And the Maluma guy only came into the picture post Aretha gate, and so did Anitta. And let’s not forget that Robster’s insider did say the album was top-notch, but not particularly cohesive
But some things don’t add up. Nakhane (who doesn’t scream hit collaboration and who I doubt Interscope would’ve suggested), if he is to be featured at all, is a recent addition. And if I’m not mistaken, the Batuka ladies video (not commercial either) was shot post August. (Was it?) Plus, Billboard was on board right from the start, wasn’t he? It could be that she started out commercial and then changed gears halfway through, with Mirwais
But can we really rely 100% on Madonna’s music instincts in this day and age? I mean, it’s the same woman who picked GMAYL over I’m Addited (Interscope’s choice apparently) and (almost) Candy Shop over 4 minutes. Maybe a little external input wouldn’t hurt. We’ll see.

Don’t really care about the Grammys anymore, tbh, but I’d love to have a universally acclaimed album with at least one moderate , give it 2 me-sized hit in Europe, Asia and Latin America. (not impossible, but very unlikely in the US, imho). A hit or two would help her sell tickets and keep the show interesting to more casual fans.

Really exited about his implication. He gave us one of the best M song of the past decade so
Not crazy about what I heard, though some of the excerpts gave me Get Together vibes, which is not a bad thing.
Wonder if any of these clips are M14 rejects/outtakes

I have always been interested in what people from Brazil think of Annitta as I truly had not heard of her before. I confess to also not liking any of the music posted but will wait and see how it all turns out. It could be a fantastic song with a great beat etc.
I don’t exactly hate her, but I don’t know her music that well. This is the only song I think I know - arguably her biggest hit here in Brazil:
I’m cautiously optimistic, to be honest. I’d be freaking out if she were to duet with Pablo Vittar, Valeska Poposuda or, God forbid, Jojô Todyinho. But while the Anita feat might alienate part of her hardcore fans, it might also win the GP back and introduce Madonna to a younger generation.
Up until Hard Candy Madonna used to reign supreme in Brazil. MDNA alienated a lot of people, and Rebel Heart was a non-event as far as airplay goes. If Madonna tours Brazil in this era, I’m not 100% sure she’s going to be able to sell out stadiums anymore. A big crossover hit could easily turn that around.

I can understand all the meltdowns over assgate since it was pretty noticeable. But, frankly, why are we freaking out about the artistic direction of an album we know almost nothing about?

Is this sample for real?
The sample is from an Instagram story she posted a couple of months ago. I’m assuming it’s from the album

Can’t believe how spoiled and self-entitled some people can be. Our two insiders had no obligation whatsoever to share - in small drops, true - what they knew. Both spent the whole day dropping hints and making this thread the most fun it’s been since... forever - when they could’ve simply kept silent and enjoyed NYE.
I was also a little disappointed by the lack of news, but it seems so, so unfair to blame mensch and robster.
-
Someone on popjustice said (about her glam team being in NYC) that it’s just a nye party or something, to which Robster replied, “And we might all get invited.”
WTF is going on?!?!
I’m getting the impression that both Mensch and Robster know something, of course, but it’s not the same thing

“what I heard has me dizzy” - quietly wondering if he’s dizzy about the news or if he actually heard the single.

But it is not what Faz Gostoso means! She CAN use it that way, but it does not translate to sex automatically.
Just out of curiosity: is Portuguese your first language?

Errrrr....??? What? Faz Gostoso DOESN'T meant that.
Faz Gostoso can mean: make it pleasant; make it good; make it tasty; make it wonderful.
That's what it means and it can be applied to all circunstances those phrases can be applied to in English.
Sex is just one of them
Matt, faz gostoso screams sex to me, though in theory you could use it in those senses too

When she performed Living for Love, she had the most watched moment of the night.
How I remember that night. It wasn’t the first time I’d heard that song (leaks + itunes) so it’d grown on me, but most of my friends were watching too and we were commenting on Facebook. NONE of them liked the song. “Lifeless”, “boring”, “never takes off”. I’m talking about people who used to like her, went to MDNA and were willing to be “converted” again, but LFL clearly didn’t do the trick. I don’t mean to generalize beyond the 6 people who were also watching the show, but I can’t help but wonder if LFL was the right song to usher in the new era.
-
I think we’re all in hysterics cause no one has a clue as to what this album will sound like and what the era has in store for us. Portuguese/African influence + Mirwais + Billboard could mean anything.
Our queen has really kept a tight lid on things this time around.
-
But it says though that the duet is yet to be confirmed. And no one knows if it’s a Madonna track or an Anita single featuring Madonna

Is this reliable?
Yes. They’re our CBS/NBC

I wonder if they’ve kind of given up on US radio and are focusing on streaming success in Latin America (Anita + maluma) plus a killer dance track for Europe?
-
Brazilian radio hasn’t touched Madonna since Girls Gone Wild. With Anita on board, she’ll get the most airplay she’s had since 4 Minutes.
-
And Diplo liked the post as well. Wonder if that means anything

Are you telling me that with all the problems that Brazil faces, some people are worried about cultural appropiation???
Exactly. Which kind of explains why people are so fed up with the left. (You’re aware we’ve just elected a man who makes Trump seem like a reasonable person, right).

We would still be. Cultural appropriation still haven't reached these lands. Rosalia had a bit of criticism by some gypsy artist but it was afterwards laughed at.
Cultural appropriation is only a thing in the USA.
In Brazil, too. Big time. Our ultra left is as pathetic as theirs. And so is the alt right.

Actually, faz gostar means makes me like it. There’s an ellipsis there - the whole thing should read “me faz gostar”

Well, there’s dwindling record sales, of course, so we can’t compare sales of HC and Rebel Heart in the same terms. Plus the leaks. Plus...
But if some of my close friends are anything to go by, I think she might’ve alienated a lot of her older fans. I know about ten people who used to worship the ground Madonna walked on up until HC. Then the MDNA era put them off completely, and RH was a non-event. And we’re talking about Brazil, where she gets 10% of the backlash she gets in the States.
I really really want Magic to sell and generate at least one moderate hit. But there seems to be a step missing: reminding the GP that Madonna is the queen of the fucking universe and making them fall back in love with her.
Slob seems to be getting more love from the GP in Brazil these days (“more versatile”, “sings better”), and this breaks my heart. It’s a sad sad world when a shitty song like Shallow gets the amount of airplay it’s getting
