Well duh..what were u expecting at this point?
It's fun! Like the song..& it's more fun/interesting than the other take of the video.
Haha, I guess I thought "fan" version meant more than just instead of the "dancers". Perhaps club scenes etc. Doh.
-
So basically the same minimalist shoot with desperate looking fans!
Actually, it is more entertaining than the other version though both FAIL to live upto expectations.
They should use this version though as it offers something different to viewers.

if Radio 1 wont A-list Celebration, what are the chances they will even bother C-listing Revolver? unless she actually promotes R in the UK, there is a chance it may miss the top 10 here if released.
Well it could have been removed from the B list so small mercies and all that.
Plus it continues to be A listed on Radio 2.

I want another #2.
That's nice, do you eat enough fibre?
-
Currently at 7 on itunes, other versions are slipping but still decent.
She is going to be at least top 5 this Sunday.
-
Its now at #8 on iTunes.......
Where there is life, there is hope.

Flattery will get you everywhere...Taio is just over 10,500 ahead of Vadge and she's just shy of 500 ahead of David Guetta Ft. Akon.
Thank you
No Chance of a number 1 then, strong chance of falling through the week

Whoa, the physical pre-orders made the difference!
Yes, though no sales info at the moment.
(Perhaps the lovely Fundydita can shed some light, pretty please)

FIRST SET OF MIDS, HOPEFULLY MORE DETAIL TO FOLLOW:
Singles
1 Taio Cruz
2 Madonna
3 David Guetta
4 Shakira
5 Jay Z/Rihanna/Kanye West
Not a bad start for Madonna given the itunes positions of her rivals.
-
I think she will be top 3 in the midweeks due to decent initial physical sales, whether she will hold the position until Sunday is questionable. The various Celebration versions have all stalled or started to slightly fall already which is a bad sign. But, there are many of them and as the new version of itunes doesn't show popularity bars anymore, it is hard to gauge where she is in relation to the other big sellers.
So the midweeks will make very interesting reading, esp if sales are included.
Otherwise, despite not being her best single, Celebration is doing well on airplay and if it helps to bring the GH album to public awareness then it has done its job.
-
Oh this lack of popularity bars on the new itunes is so irritating! Taio could be miles ahead.
Celebration seems to be stalling already, though lots of versions and the physical sales will ensure at least top 5. Looks like making the UK wait for weeks for the digital version has not guaranteed the top spot.
-
Think she has a very good chance of being number 1 next Sunday, all depends on whether the song is crossover or just fan buy. Quick rises on itunes can just be down to fans initially. if she starts to decline from Wednesday then no chance.
-
The UK Radio 1 playlst has just been updated and Celebration has been moved upto their B List!!!!!
That is great news. Hope this helps build up a head of steam for the single release (finally) this Sunday and Monday.

Video sales do NOT count toward the Hot 100; iTunes is the only outlet selling music videos- it'sa mutual decision from both Billboard and iTunes that they do not count toward the charts.
Thanks for clarifying and to the others who also posted a reply

^ Yes, latest midweeks show Sugababes at 2, 2k behind Jay Z and Giraffe neck.
Sugababes are well behind at number 2 on itunes overall top 100 so not sure where nikolakisgreece is looking?
-
Sorry, probably been asked but do music video paid downloads count as a digital single sale?
-
Sugababes will not be number 1 on Sunday but would rather them than the Jay Z plus every man and his dog bilge.
The Sugababes new one is indeed very catchy - I guess they have gone in a different direction because they don't want to do electro pop and their last album failed compared to their last few albums. Despite the fact that Girls was a sizeable cross over hit.
Great news re the Radio 2 playlist for our Madge.
-
Have the remixes done anything in the US on itunes? Won't these help Celebration re enter the Hot 100 or is that total wishful and delusional thinking?

Kylie looks old.
Naughty! But shame that Kylie and Madonna have both worked the Rivers image in recent times. Not a good look for either of them.
-
Slightly disappointed with this version but there must be another version, this one is so small scale.
-
Surprised she missed out NRM cos she seems to like that vid but perhaps not the song given that she's never performed it live.
Not on tour but she did open up the 99 Grammy's with a great performance and a so so vocal of NRM. I love NRM, great song.

The DVD is a great collection, would have liked Bad Girl but as has been said all the main omissions have been on another DVD at some point.
American Life would have been great but it may have jeopardised the entire release if it was included. The media may have latched on to it, though conversely, it would have meant extra publicity.
Hope the DVD does well, it deserves to. I expect it will be pretty pricey for a good while.

Quite like the tracklisting, esp the inc of Everybody, DYU and BU!
Not too keen personally on some others such as CFY and LTT but I understand that these are massive songs that would help sell the album.
Think Cherish should have been left off - sounds so dated now. Would have been great if Hanky Panky was inc instead.
They seem to have selected the right number of tracks from Bedtime Stories to Hard Candy though I am shocked American Life was bumped for Hollywood and MA chosen over GITM.
Poor Erotica - this wonderful album is only represented by one song...but I can see why more songs were chosen from her hitmaking 80s heyday.
Would have been great if there had been a limited edition three disc edition of ALL the singles. No debate would have been necessary and we would have had Gambler on a Madonna album for the first time.
-
Well fair enough re the itunes delay but annoying that the initial press release stated it would be released with the rest of the world. Hope their new plan works though.

Celebration is still at 3 in today's midweeks.
Anyone (cough cough, Funkydita) have her sales info and those of her other competitors? PMs gratefully received.
