Some people just itch to write bad things about her so badly that they manifest the negative shit in their minds lol
I don't see how they can get off on Madonna's supposed misfortunes. What horrible lives they must live in.

'Never Let You Go' is definitely Madonna on vocals! These ears have been listening to Madonna since 1983, so it's like a mother duck recognizing the peep of her ducklings!

As I continue my complete and utter immersion in everything Rebel Heart related, I honestly can't see how anyone could be even slightly disappointed in 95% of these demos. I've had some time to get past the initial excitement (granted, not much time) to actually process what I'm hearing with a semi-objective mind and I am still totally blown away and beyond impressed with the quality of this music. Inspiration makes all the difference in the world for her. All of her greatest musical achievements come from moments of either great pain or great joy. There's a lot of pain in this record, but also an equal amount of desire to make the world a better place based on her observations of the state of the world during her MDNA tour. It's all so beautiful. I've never been more moved, never so connected to her music before. And, as usual, she's saving me all over again with her messages, her lyrics, her melodies. I didn't know it was still possible for me to feel this sort of joy from music. Thank you, Madonna.
With you, mister!

I think it is in good humour. He 'gave away' his last album Strange Cargo 5 as he was disillusioned with record company bullshit. He sees the industry for what it is.

From what I know it's 47+ tracks that are making the round. That includes multiple version of several songs. The acoustic demos are the earliest demos (demo 1). The 24 demos that have leaked are all in pretty early stages meaning those are demos 1-2.
There are three demos of Wash All Over Me that I know of. Demo 1 is acoustic, demo 2 is the one we have and demo 3 is a more polished version of demo 2.
There are also 5 versions of Rebel Heart. Demo 1 is acoustic with some claps in it, Demos 2,3&4 sound pretty much the same and Demo 5 is what I believe to be the final version. Demo 5 sounds also much different from the one you've all heard and I believe it was either produced by Rayn Tedder or the guys that reworked Devil Pray. I can't confirm that though. The Avicii drop is mising completely and there is no auto-tuned Reeebbeeelll Heeaaaarttt in it anymore.
The demo of Iconic that leaked is demo #1, it's also very different from the "other" demo, which I believe to be the final one.
Holy crap!

I can assure you that the new leaked tracks are indeed demos VERY ROUGH EARLY demos. I'm pretty sure the final work is safe and sound (and not finished yet anyway). Keep in mind that the first bunch of demos that leaked were just a sample of the set of demos that were stolen and came from the same place so there's nothing her team or anyone can do to prevent them from leaking the rest over the next days & weeks except not sharing them and not saying where to find them. It's pretty efficient since the "new" leaked ones are far more harder to find than the the ones from last week.
It makes me sad that the thieves are acting in this way. Madonna, and every other artist, has a right to feel 'terrorised'. You don't slave away in the studio to just give it all away.

It's a shame that she needed to rushed and drop 6-songs of the new album (probably unfinished-unmixed) due to the stupidity of some people who continue leaking some demos. I mean, I'm glad to have these songs in the official way (what a gift!)!but it wasn't planned this way and kills the experience of enjoying (part of the album this time) the album in full IMO.
On the other hand, I'm glad these songs are out there and it's such a joy seeing good praise about them. She deserves it!
True. A part of me feels guilty having the 14 demos. I bought the iTunes tracks and will buy the physical CD in March, so my hip pocket is still feeding her coffers, in that respect. I love hearing the evolution of the RH tracks, and whilst nobody truly loves a hacker, Madonna's sleight of hand has been forced in a direction that even she and Team Madonna never expected. It breaks up her own rigid promotional ideas and may even present a more open and giving Madonna. The social media presence of the last 12 months on Instagram has been refreshing, though I am sure she won't be posting any pictures of Rocco popping champagne bottles this Christmas!

Trust me, the time, effort and money spent in Studio time would never justify the leak of so many demos at once. The 'leak' of one track could be a marketing ploy, but this many beggars belief.
Madonna is armed with one of her best albums in years, why give it all away (now)?

Took the words right out of my mouth. It's the connection.
It is the connection. MDMA had a level of disconnect that alienated a lot of fans (even though it was pretty much half an excellent album).

1. ^^A troll pretending to be an old fan
2. But if you're not, then invent a time machine and go back to the 1980s and let the rest of us enjoy REBEL HEART
Is that newbie serious? I'm a fan from 1983 and I LOVE the new stuff (both leaked and official). They're all on repeat and all very sing-a-longable!! This era of Madonna has really invigorated me.

Whilst we've been wetting ourselves over the demos and iTunes release, Madonna has been doing a media blitz!
-
It still makes me laugh how most people think the "leaks" are not a PR plan from Madonna herself.
Well, it's an insider job. There'll be frisking as staff leave each studio, mansion and Kabbalah Centre!

I hear mastering issues with all the preorder tracks, particularly Living For Love, Illuminati, and Unapologetic Bitch. They were mastered at too high of a volume. I hear crunchy static. It might not be an issue for a lot of people because this is how music is mastered nowadays and people (especially youngins) have become conditioned to it. It's just sad for the people who do hear it.
Oh, thanks for saying it! I thought it was just me...as I could swear that there is distortion in the louder parts of LFL, BIM and UB. My iPod Touch didn't like the distortion and magnified it in playback, so I had to transfer to my trusty iPod Classic.

I can see imagery of a host of American presidents on big screens during this track live. Conspiracy theorists have always aligned US presidents with The Illuminati.
That pyramid of Egypt and the all-seeing Eye from the Desperately Seeking Susan jacket is going to make a comeback!

The dog
I'm dying
Hilarious!

I don't think it's her. It sounds like the same girl from the demo.
Isn't it the London Community Gospel Choir (who have appeared on other Madonna tracks, eg 'Nothing Fails')?

I've listened to LFL a few times now and it's really not sticking for me. It feels neither instant nor instinctive, in the way that one hopes a Madonna lead single will be. There are elements in there which are good - though I'm sorry to say that doesn't include Madonna's voice which alternate between croaky and screechy - but overall, it doesn't come together to make the cohesive pop anthem I would have liked.
Clean Bandit's Rather Be has set the bar extremely high when it comes to 90s-inspired pop house, and unfortunately, LFL falls quite a long short, in my opinion.
It's a great track, but pre-Evita Madonna voice does come up to the fore. The notes are not hard to sing down an octave, so I am puzzled why Madonna's PDP bleat has returned.

Where are Britney, Miley, Nicky and Katy?
Cancelling their future appointments with Max Martin...

Great review. Muu makes a point - why accuse an act of trying to sound 'current' when most chart fodder belongs to pop stars trying to sound current! Today's young music buyers aren't going to demand SAW or Shep Pettibone sounds, for instance.

well, she tweeted this today
and this
Toxic.

I think it's Ryan Tedder of One Republic fame (also produced Beyonce's XO).
I'm assuming only though.
Correct assumption, methinks.
Who do you think is behind all these leaks?

It is such a shame, really. Guiltily, I have enjoyed the leaks. What's not to like? Realistically, though...I would have preferred the leaks (if any) AFTER the album release. It's nice for that insight, but after the fact.
