Why no credits??? Crazy!! That's like the best part for me!! I love listening to an album and flicking trough the booklet. I remeber standard edtion of Kylie's Aphodite also didn't include credits and directed you to her official page - so annoying :-(
Interesting, wasn't aware of that. But not even the writers? Even tour DVDs have those.
-
The sticker on the vinyl version refers to Madonna.com for credits...
Well yeah, but vinyls don't have a booklet like CDs, do they?
-
But not even songwriting credits? Do they release albums without them?

4/5 stars from gay times but I don't know if they're relevant for music reviews
Did they just review the leaks or what? Since Queen is there...

Ah I don't doubt that, Masterpiece was incredibly basic, I'm glad we got the likes of Inside Out now.
Not doing a dance album was a surprising but wise decision, of course it does hurt the potential singles releases, so many tracks but a lot less "obvious" singles this time.
-
Damn she did a lot of promo for COADF in only 8 months.
Most of the promo was condensed in 2-3 weeks though. I believe in 2006 she did nothing apart from Grammy Awards so the start of the tour really has nothing to do with Madonna focusing on a record or not.
And let's not forget that COADF promo had a lot of complaints by fans because she kept doing the same performances everywhere.
-
Even the ballads are like power ballads, very pop and very different from Falling Free on MDNA.
Hmm not really, to me Messiah is a Falling Free knockoff and don't forget Masterpiece. To me these 2 songs are the "preview" to Rebel Heart (the same way Bedtime Story is called as the preview to ROL) to me, who woulda expected she'd ditch most of the dance stuff and record more ballads this time? I admit that Ghosttown is more commercial but otherwise I definitely see the continuation here.
-
Holiday & Music were largely ignored on the previous tour though, the former was on the US leg sometimes but not really a full performance. I expect both of them to be back, alongside Don't Tell Me.
She cannot really sing the likes of Illuminati, Bitch I'm Madonna or Body Shop live and I doubt she'd do all those ballads so I expect 11 songs from Rebel Heart at most...

Ghosttown
Hold Tight
Iconic

I don't think club dates are happening, it seems she wants to make appearances at major European markets as tour promo now.
-
Correct, Rebel Heart or its tour are definitely not "farewell album/tour" as some assumed.

Not sure how reliable the info is regarding Q Magazine since the next issue comes out Tuesday 2/24 in the UK so we have to wait and see...
-
I forgot how the Q review of MDNA went so I looked it up. I'm sure they commented on Rebel Heart being "too urban". Oh and Rolling Stone already used the term "The Chemical Mother" in their Ray Of Light review in 1998.
-
I don't get that either, nothing is explicit in the lyrics of Body Shop...

Surely this is a mistake by The Sun:
2 WASH ALL OVER ME
An incredibly powerful and pretty emotionally traumatic song ends the main version of the album, with an intense church-like organ overlaid with modern house beats. Madonna looks at her place in the world, opening with the line: “In a world that’s changing, I’m a stranger in a strange land.” She also talks about “running away from all this madness”. -
Checked and Human Nature spent 3 weeks at #2 behind "Everybody Be Somebody" by Ruffnek feat "Yavahn".
-
I voted for something random, that would be nice.
But I think she will close with Living For Love / Like A Prayer, not the other way around since the latter was the penultimate song on MDNA Tour and I HOPE she won't repeat herself.
-
I think Human Nature spent 3 weeks at #2, behind Annie Lennox or Everything But The Girl, not sure now...
-
There is no way Madonna wont be in the US the week of the release of the album. Besides, shes doing the Brits and the Ross show... Thats more than enough for the UK I think. Over exposure isnt good either.
Grammy was the biggest US promo she could get though.
Saturday Night Live would be best for her during release week but I guess the musical guests are known far in advance?

Yes it IS the interviewer who states the November date, but M does practically confirm it. She could have just corrected him, but instead she talked about how she loves performing, which I take as a confirmation.
It's still different than her announcing a November kick off date. Like I said it could just mean her confirming Germany for November. We'll only know when the tour dates are officially announced.
-
I'm so confused though, she's just stated in that interview that the tour's going to start in November! Surely the pre-sale wouldn't begin this early???
Anyway, just pre-ordered the Superdeluxe!
As I posted in the tour thread, she does not say November, the interviewer does. She does not deny or confirm the date. It could simply mean German dates are in November...
-
It IS true. Tour start in November. Just flipped through the magazine in a store here, she says it straightforward.
From what I see, she does not say November, the interviewer does. She does not deny or confirm, just that she talks about loving to perform for the fans and having to get fit for the road.

why just germany? whats going on?!
Probably Live Nation made a deal with German Amazon? Or German dates are the first to go on sale? I'm sure others will follow.
MDNA-like ticket redemption not happening though?

I seem to have found versions of both Rihanna's Unapologetic & Kylie's Aphrodite online where the credits were included in the booklet so they were partially true, for some editions I guess. So it is still possible some of Rebel Heart booklets will contain them.
Makes one wonder though, due to the reworkings of many songs and not even ASCAP containing info on Avicii tracks, maybe they were simply not cleared for the time when CDs went into press? Remember she talked about a late April release...
