  1. Rebel Heart has many, many better songs than Confessions. It has better lyrics, better melodies, and a lot more soul.

Yet there's definite merit (and a little bit of voodoo) in having tapped into the cultural zeitgeist to produce Confessions, an album that is at once old-school and futuristic, dark but celebratory, expansive but cohesive; and which packed four absolute stellar singles and a bunch of immaculate album tracks (Future Lovers, Forbidden Love, Let it Will Be, Isaac, Like it or Not).

So while I personally prefer RH at the moment, some time will have to pass before RH can truly dethrone Confessions as the better album.

Also, just the sheer amount of tracks on RH, its multiple versions, and the fact that some of the best tracks were relegated to the Super Extra Gravity Deluxe Edition make it difficult for me to say it's a better album  It's a better collection of songs, but a better album? Time will tell.

  2. Yeah. I thought it was illegal to not have credits. Imagine if they did that with a movie!

Never heard of this happen, but it might be the new thing. I don't like it. It seems unfair. What makes it worse is that it isn't on Madonna's site even though it says it is.

Not only unfair but unethical in my opinion. It's very likely that most of the producers and writers are unhappy about this too & haven't agreed to their names being omitted... Why leave such a foul aftertaste?

  3. Just reading these first responses already makes me swell up with tears. Madonna has truly created an album we can philosophise about :brenspin:

For the sake of argument, I will just paste here the definition of "Rebel" I found on the Urban dictionary... I thought it was more fitting than official dictionary definitions.

A rebel is a person who stands up for their own personal opinions despite what anyone else says. A true rebel stands up for what they believe is right, not against what's right. It's not about smoking crack, drinking till you're rendered unconsious, or beating the crap out of anyone that crosses your path. It's all about being an individual and refusing to follow a crowd that forces you to think the same way they do even if it means becoming an outcast to society. True rebels know who they are and do not compromise their individuality or personal opinion for anyone. They're straightforward and honest and they will sure as hell tell it like it is.
  4. So most of you are saying that 10-track Rebel Heart album would be all about Rebel Heart. Sorry but it's a big fail because you are missing the point of the project. :popcorn2:
