Itunes is 256 kbps
Spotify is 320 kbps
Tidal is 1411 kbps
CD is also 1411 kbps

You haven't made a single contribution here actually dealing with Madonna, your track record consists entirely, one hundred per cent, of glaring attempts to promote Tidal, and even when pressured, you're unable to go into anything beyond what can easily be looked up at an online encyclopedia.
I usally just come here to read "the news", but this time i thought i would join in. Not as easy or niceas one would have expected actually.. :/ but og i have to proove myself, then here goes:
I discovered madonna in 2004 watching I'm goong to tell you a secret. She was three times older than me (I was 15 at the time (and chubby)) when I watched her i thougt, she is stronger than me, faster than me, richer than me and smarter than me. I started training and loosing weight at the same time I discovered her entire discography. In 2005 COADF was realesed and she BLEW my mind again. It's my favourite record alongside Ray of Light. To this day I listen to madonna every time i work out and she still keeps pushing me. I listen to her songs when I'm sad, drunk, in love or just alive! My favourite time listening to madonna is when I'm travelling. I've been to the S&S tour and MDNA tour, but confessions is still my favourite. I love rebel Heart and hope the rebel heart tour will top everything she has ever done. My favourite qoute of hers is "poor is the man whose pleasure depends on the permission of another". So no matter what you think I am about, I don't need your acceptance, but I truly hope for it.

I get your point. That means ALL of you. I'm not trying to sell you anything, i just truly love the idea of a streaming service that gives the power back to the artist, and just sounds great. Which makes madonna sound great.
My favourite tour opener is drowned world @ drowned world tour, my favourite second act on her setlists is get together on the confessions tour and my favourite closing act is holiday on the re-invention tour. All because i love her vocals. Ok?

A lot of people get great hi-fi quality from the Apple Lossless in iTunes.. and surely speakers are one of the main assets for good sound. How is Tidal any more hi-fi?

True! Mastered for iTunes is lossless and sounds good, but they only offer like 10% of their library in lossless
but it's better than nothing! The more lossless is avaliable, the better -

A quick introduction:
I have been using TIDAL Hifi under the norwegian name Wimp Hifi for years and its AMAZING!
The norwegian company Wimp/TIDAL got purchased by Jay-Z a couple of weeks ago and made huge headlines here in Norway. The way he is relauncing it and bringing the power back to the artists is truly insipiring.
Not only is the money flow more justified for the artist, producers and writers, but the content around the music is creative and informative. On top of that you get over 35 MILLION tracks in true hifi quality. 4 times the quality of spotify or iTunes.
Quality is the key word for TIDAL, and it's worth every penny. So happy Madonna is on board!

Nr1: Yes, there is a huge difference in sound quality. Spotify = 320 kbps (mp3)I've had Spotify for years and I have palylists I've built up, definitely not changing platforms but please I hope she doesn't take her music off it.
She's a huge chunk of what I listen to, it will be devastating.
I choose to stream my music in High Quality through Spotify Premium, would there be that big of a difference in the quality with Tidal?

Flac is cd format usually, also known as lossless. Flac is 16 bit 48khz (CD) or higher, all the way up to 24 bit 192khz. There are some madonna music in the highest format at hdtracks.com, wich sounds AMAZING. There is also a streaming service called Tidal or Wimp wich offers all madonna albums in flac. It sounds quite a bit better than iTunes or spotify.

FYI, hi-fi is short for high fidelity, wich translates into high accuracy. What the discussion in this thread is all about: whats the accurat version or not.

Want to listen to Rebel Heart in HIGH QUALITY? Try TIDAL hifi, also known as WIMP hifi. Its over 20 million songs in CD quality, including the Madonna discography.
Most of the music on iTunes is only a third of the information of real CD resolution. You will hear the difference.

Two norwegian producers I really hope Madonna works with is Kygo and Cashmere Cat. They are like the hottest of the hottest right now, with a super fresh and commercial sound.
They both have been in the studio with diplo and are launching globally in 2015. Cashmere Cat grew up two houses from me in my street, and hos mother often "leaks" me the info om his projects. Imagine if she had something on Madonna 😍

It's just been announced here in Norway that Malala is recieving the Nobel Peace Price. She has been one of madonnas inspiration for art for freedom. There is always a big international Nobel-concert in Oslo the same day, maybe Madonna will preform/debut a new single! 😍
Living in Oslo, that has always been a dream of mine! It would be a great art for freedom platform..

I enjoy all of Madonnas albums for what they are, but what I reeeally want from her this time around is good quality recordings, her natural vocals and good mixing. She can add vocal effects of course, I just want to hear the warmth of her natural voice again. I almost don’t care about the genre or sound she is going for, I just want quality and inspired music. Rather wait as long as needed than to get that, than to have something rushed or unfocused. I know she’s highly capable to deliver and hope she will. This era is so exiting, and there’s something different this time around. At least compared to the last three albums.
