  1. You really are an asshole. I thought it would be an interesting topic. Lesson learned. Next time I see something interesting about Madonna in a magazine, I will keep it myself. I thought this forum was about sharing, But I guess I'm doing it all wrong because I didn't have an exact source. Out of here, bitches.

Nooo don't keep it to yourself. I for once appreciated your post :)

  2. Ahhh Madonna is everywhere! I love it. And even though the interview sounds like it might be boring (talking about motherhood AGAIN and that fall at the brits which Madonna has already discussed time and again) in the past when Jo has interviewed M she has asked her some interesting questions which I've not heard her be asked before. So hopefully if it's a lenghty interview, instead of just 5 or 10 minutes, she might ask her a few interesting questions.

  3. I've loved this song from first listen. It was actually the only song I'd listened to when the leaks happened. She'd been hashtagging it on instagram so i figured it was an important song on the album (possibly lead single), so i found it on youtube and listened to it over and over again untill it was taken down. So even though I love LFL and Ghosttown I'm still hoping this might be a third single. I know some people don't agree but to me it sounds so single worthy. And it's so badass as well. I can imagine teenagers listening to it on the radio and being like "Wow who's this?....What?!? This is Madonna???". But whereas I think some older fans, like my dad who introduced me to her music, and just so happens to be the same age as her, will be like "Ugh why's she acting like a 20 something year old?". So I dunno it's a tough call. But for me I definitely want this is a single at some point.

  4. I just hope that all of these leaks that happen nowadays in the music industry doesn't make her think twice in future about making new music. It's obvious that the making of the album and the way it's released is very important to her. I just hope she doesn't retire from making new music sooner than she would have done otherwise, you know what I mean? I just don't want her to go "Oh fuck it! I can't be bothered making a new record if i can't release it my way"

  5. I find it fascinating hearing about the business side of Madonna. Not many people in the music industry seem to have her business sense. But I think maybe it just comes naturally to her. Her brother said that as a little girl she always had to win at monopoly and make the most monopoly money...and at 14 she charged him for his first joint . Is it any wonder she grew up to be a brilliant businesswoman? I think she's genuinely one of the very few artists out there that has great talent AND great business sense. That's probably how she's managed to stay relevant for all these years in such a fickle industry.

  6. I was going to listen to all of the demos but once I heard the first song Unapologetic Bitch I instantly felt guilty. It sounded soooo good but I couldn't listen to it without that little bit of guilt...which ruined it a bit for me, So I'm now going to wait until the album comes out so I can listen to the songs in their final, complete form and not feel guilty. And besides, I've been buying her albums on release date since I was 14 and nothing beats that feeling of finally having the album in your hands ready to be listened to for the very fiiiirst tiiime :)

  7. Yeah I was surprised as I was convinced the old Madonna of the 80s/early 90s was dead. I'd gotten used to her being more mature (or boring :p), and having that precious English accent, and spending time in the English countryside writing children's books. So it was exciting when after she got divorced and moved back to New York that she got her attitude back, and started f***ing young dudes and getting them tits out on stage and in photoshoots for everyone to see!

  8. I think New York has lost it's "feel" that it had in the 80s. It was a very exciting place, yet quite a dangerous seedy place. There was a lot of crime going on back in the day, and the subways were notoriously dangerous and full of graffiti. Madonna's admitted that before she was famous and she was living in New York in the late 70s/early 80s that she was raped one night whilst walking down the street, and her apartment was broken into twice, oh and she was held up at gunpoint. Whilst those things could still happen today in New York I think it's a lot less likely. I think today New York is a lot safer, and less seedy and more tourist friendly than it was in the 80s...but I think it's also dulled down a bit and lost it's "essence" that a young artist like Madonna probably strived on when she was living there in the 80s.

  9. I wonder if people she knew before she was famous noticed any of this stuff...and then years later when they were watching her on TV they'd think "Oh yeah I remember she used to blink a lot in high school" or "Oh look you can see the gap in-between her two front teeth quite clearly on that poster...I remember I used to stare at that gap whenever she'd speak to me".

  10. I didn't like it when I first heard it. She performed it on Parkinson here in the UK where she also did a GREAT interview. It was just before the album came out so the only songs I'd heard was the epic Hung Up...then Get Together. And at first I was like "meh" about the song. But then it grew on me and now I love it :D

  11. I doubt this is true. It could be but I'm sure every single year the x factor is on there is some rumour in the press about Madonna appearing on it....But then it obviously never happens. But who knows this year it could be true. Also, x factor has been trying to get her on for years, so I doubt they'd have conditions for her like the article states. Apart from the obvious...don't swear, don't get your tits out etc.

  12. Well she said it herself in Truth or Dare that she finds it strange that celebrities assume you're going to be friends just because you're a celebrity too. I get the impression that she get's bored easily and so probably can't be bothered with the whole "yes you're famous, I'm famous, let's hang out even though that's the only real thing we have in common"

  13. Not only was this her first legendary career performance but it was also her first notable business savvy move. The song hadn't been released yet so she was expected to perform her latest single which at that time was Borderline, but instead she chose her up coming brand new single which had never been heard before and delivered it like a boss....then when it was released a short while later it went to number 1

  14. I wouldn't be surprised if she had strong feelings for him. They were together awhile and she said in an interview with some well known American tv interviwer (I cant remember her name I'm English sorry...but it was the same interview she said the infamous "reductive" comment) that she was open to the idea of getting married again. But previously when she was dating Jesus and she was on the Letterman show and he asked her if she'd like to get married again she said she'd rather get hit by a bus or a train or something. So he obviously made her feel in love again. And as someone else mentioned her ex Andy Bird made her sound like a loved up, romantic, thoughtful, sometimes needy person, instead of the cold, raunchy person she's often seen as. When I was reading his interview I was like "is he really talking about Madonnna? :S"

  15. Hmm I'd say Live 8. I was 16 at the time and I was a casual fan, but my jaw was just on the ground throughout the whole performance. It started with them showing an emotional video on the big screen of the plight in Africa, and then it showed the famous image of the dying baby girl that captured the hearts of the world at the original concert in 1985. Then Bob Geldof walked onto the stage and introduced that baby girl who was now a young healthy woman. He then announced that three BILLION people were now watching Live 8 then he introduced Madonna and she embraced the young woman from Africa and threw her arm in the air (which was all over the front pages the next day) and she then launched into her set. Like A Prayer was pure emotion. Ray Of Light was just awesome with her rocking out in the middle of the song and rolling around on the stage. And then Music where she danced her ass off and managed to get everyone in Hyde Park to sing along at the end for like two minutes, she even ordered the paparazzi to put their cameras down and clap and sing along which most of them then did (only a true music legend could get that to happen). And i'll never forget at the end of the performance my dad just went "aaand that's why she's the queen of pop".
