  1. What are the songs that are not here? Trust No Bitch? What else?

    Beautiful Scars

    - a mid-tempo pop song about the beauty of being imperfect

    - slightly vocoded vocals

    Inside Out

    - a slow dubstep ballad with a guitar-driven chorus.

    - In the song she is apparently trying to soften a tough guy and asking him to love her

    Co-produced by Avicii:

    Heartbreak City

    - features a choir

    - talks about the end of a relationship

    - dance track <- the final version is not a ballad anymore!!!

    Two Steps Behind

    - demo is completely acoustic with just a piano accompanying Madonna's vocals

    - directed at a copycat, who's trying to emulate M

    Co-produced by Diplo:

    Autotune Baby

    - possibly based on a sample of Major Lazer's song "Baby"

    - auto-tuned sound of a crying baby and a rattle create the base of the track

    - acoustic guitar accompanies Madonna's vocals

    - Madonna deals with her own vulnerability and explains how she needs to be taken care of. like a baby!

    Hold Tight

    - about the power of love being the only thing we need to survive the toughest challenges life throws at us.

    - RnB-influenced and trap with a musical break that features only madonna and a piano

    Veni Vidi Vici

    - retrospective song featuring references to several old Madonna songs

    - verses are rapped/spoken but they keep a certain rhytm (very different to the AL rap)

    - layered with sung background vocals

Co-produced by DJ Dahi and Blood Diamonds:

    Iconic

    - co-written with Toby Gady, MoZella and S1

    S.E.X.

    Trust No Bitch

    - co-written with Natalia Kills and Martin Kierszenbaum

Co-written with Natalia Kills and Martin Kierszenbaum:

    Holy Water

    - a shameless song about enjoying the pleasures of oral sex on the receiving end

    - overtly sexual but apparently lacking of the sexy, smooth, languorous tone

    Score

Co-written with Toby Gady, MoZella and S1:

    Body Shop

    - a mid-tempo song with what sounds like a zither using a 5-note chord as the musical base

    - different guitar instruments, a recurring clapping sound, a piano at the end and a few synth samples.

    - very sensual, slightly electro/oriental sounding

    - overly vocoded vocals

    - deals with sexuality and Madonna comparing her body to a car.

  2. guys, just curious, do you all love it a lot or is just the excitement speaking? I forgot the reactions when MDNA was released. my memory is fucked so I can't compare. I think she brought back the melodies we know her for. especially on the Avicii tracks. I never realised how much I missed this madonna. I don't like her vocals on some of the tracks, but then on others they're pretty good. all in all I'm in love with the ballads/mid tempo songs and Unapologetic bitch and iluminanti are just very catchy. the latter has a pretty damn cool chorus. it's a grower!

I think it's a bit of both. I can see massive potential in most of these songs and I'm very impressed eventhough they're all quite rough. But since these songs are far from finished and there are still around 45 songs recorded for this album that have not been heard the excitement is still there.

  3. Revolution is the weakest of them all and someone needs to tell Avicii to drop that sound that you can hear at the beginning of RH and in all of his songs. It's so annoying not sure what's called it's like a reverse/reverb kick. He really isn't a very diverse producer. The melodies and the guitars are what make his songs good.

Bitch, I'm Madonna is this album's Spanish Lesson or B-Day Song. It's lyrically shit and immature but incredibly catchy and I kinda like it actually. It could work as a single for Diplo's upcoming album tbh. I don't want it anywhere near her album, though. Maybe as a bonus track but not on the standard edition!

  4. Time to rank guys!

    1. Addicted/The One That Got Away
    2. Unapologetic Bitch
    3. Heartbreak City
    4. Rebel Heart
    5. Bitch, I'm Madonna (I know the lyrics are crap but the song is a JAM!!!)
    6. Make the Devil Pray
    7. Living for Love (I'm sure the final version will be PURE FIRE!)
    8. Illuminati (Just bc of the catchy chorus and the production)
    9. Joan of Arc
    10. Wash All Over Me (It needs more work...)
    11. Borrowed Time (It's a total filler but the melody is nice)
    12. Messiah (I'm sure it will grow on me but rn I'm not really feeling this song)
    13. Revolution
  5. My first impression:

Heartbreak City, Unapologetic Bitch, Addicted, Living For Love, Make the Devil Pray, Messiah, Joan of Arc and Rebel Heart and Wash All Over Me are amazing. They must end up in the album.

Illuminati is brilliant in production but I hate the lyrics and the melody sometimes reminds me to Britney's Work Bitch.

I don't like Bith I'm Madonna, lyrics are just a little better than B-day song and it's too much trap for my taste.

Revolution and Borrowed Time are good but not really impressive.

Messiah and Joan of Arc have beautiful vocals, melodies and lyrics, as it's usual for Madonna ballads.

Bitch, I'm Madonna can be a bonus track or should be featured on Diplo's album.

  6. Avicii's songs sound very "samey" not very diverse but they're all really good especially in terms of melody and lyrics. Diplo's sound is really diverse from what we've heard so far and we haven't even heard all of his songs I think...I mean you wouldn't think that L4L, BIM and UB were produced by the same guy.

Bitch, I'm Madonna will definitely end up as a bonus track. It's too good to be left out completely but it's too immature and weird to be featured on the album.

Revolution or Borrowed Time are the weakest track in my opinion and they're still REALLY GOOD. I mean they sound a bit like fillers but they still slay.

  7. WOW.

I really didn't want to listen it but since all of the songs are demos and since I'm gonna buy the album anyway I think it's okay to listen to them. I think after this all Madonna's team can do is releasing the first single ASAP. Drop a promo bomb so no one will notice the leak :chuckle:

I know I might be a bit over-enthusiastic but I think this album may actually win her a few awards. The demos sounds SO GOOD and fresh. They suit her perfectly and still sound new and exciting. I really hope the hard work she put into this will be rewarded this time!

This album could have done without the diplo tracks.

the ballads & folk songs are so lovely. woodstock a la madonna :lmao: get rid of the diplo stuff

Ugh negativity already? Get your shit together guys...

Living for Love convinced me that we WILL get to hear Nothing Really Matters on tour. There's just no way around it.

  8. She said the lyrics to ITG were 'kind of dorky'. Borderline, despite being a big hit only got a short appearance on the Virgin tour. Perhaps she still really hates Reggie Lucas!

And the first leg of the S&S Tour in 2008, lol.

The only singles from "Madonna" she hasn't performed on tour for more than 10 years are Everybody (last tour performance at the Girlie Show if you don't count the Hung Up Promo Tour) and Physical Attraction (never performed on tour!). I'm praying we get to hear one or both on the next tour. It's time for them to return or appear on tour for the first time in the case of PA.

  9. Favs:

Everybody (This song has been teased SO many times...)

Angel (it used to be her fav from LAV)

La Isla Bonita (Same as Music)

Live to Tell (She said it has the best lyrics)

Like a Prayer (Same as Vogue)

Express Yourself (Remember when she did this during the request section of S&S all the time? It's also the most performed song from LAP.)

Vogue (I would be very surprised if this wasn't among her favourite songs)

Human Nature (So excited to hear this on the next tour... *cough*)

Bedtime Story (She wanted it to be the lead single because she was so impressed with it)

Ray of Light (She often named this song one of her all-time favs)

Mer Girl (She didn't want Orbit to change this song or re-write it a bit bc it meant so much to her. She has also decided to perform it on DWT whilst leaving out more popular songs from ROL.)

Music (The many times she performed this...)

Impressive Instant (She wanted this to be a single so bad that she even sabotaged the scheduled release of Amazing)

Paradise (Not for Me) (She shot a video for this to be used as a backdrop on her 2001 tour promoting "Music" - the only album track to ever get treatment like this AND she has decided to perform it again although it was not a single)

Future Lovers (I think I read somwhere that it was her fav off COADF but I'm not entirely sure)

Get Together (she pushed hard for this to be released as the third single and she has performed it quite frequently during the Confessions era)

Candy Shop (Her fav from HC)

Give It 2 Me (her 2nd fav, maybe?)

Gang Bang (Her fav off of MDNA)

    Least Favs:

Borderline (I think this song is kind of like Cherish to her. She replaced it during the second leg of S&S and she also didn't give a shit when fans voted for it's inclusion on MDNA)

Material Girl (she has been mocking this song from day 1)

Into the Groove (she feels retarted singing this song)

True Blue (It reminds her of Sean Penn)

Cherish (she feels retarted singing this song and she kind of mocked it during the Jimmy Fallon interview)

This Used to Be My Playground

Don't Stop (produced by Dave Hall who she wasn't very fond of apparently, her lable and radio stations were pushing very hard for this to be released as a single but Madge obvsl didn't give a damn)

One More Chance (Her least-favourite single, produced by David Foster who she was kind of pushed into collaborating with)

Amazing (see II/Amazing single controversy, she thought it was too similar to Beautiful Stranger)

    American Pie (punished forever!)

Sorry (she feels retarted singing this song)

Love Spent (she didn't really seem to feel this song until she started performing the ACOUSTIC version of it on tour. It was also supposed to be only a bonus track on MDNA while B-day Song was meant to be on the standard edition lol)

    Ignored/Forgotten:

Who's That Girl (one performance only for this Grammy and Golden Globe nominee?)

Rescue Me (a WW hit, she laughed out loud apparently when someone requested it to be included on S&S)

Bad Girl (Mhh...she didn't even bother to perform this at the Girlie Show...)

Erotica (album) (Is she still recovering from the 1992 backlash?)

I'll Remember (One of her most critically acclaimed songs, never performed on tour, never mentioned again.)

Secret (She said she had forgotten about this song in 2008 and even thanked her fans for "reminding" her.)

Take a Bow (Her longest lasting US #1 single...nough said.)

You'll See (I think she hates this song but I don't want to believe it.)

Nothing Really Matters (I mean seriously...)

The Power of Good-Bye (One of the biggest hits from ROL...)

American Life (Album) (I mean come on...two interludes, no performances?)

4 Minutes (kind of problematic bc it's a duet but she didn't seem to be too passionate about this being the lead single anyway)

  10. I actually love 4 Minutes.

    I love you! :smooch:

4 Minutes should not be on this list. How can a WW hit make it onto this list? It worked incredibly well as a single and it gained a lot of interest in the album. The song itself isn't even bad. The only that's annoying imo is that it's a duet and the lyrics aren't too great either. But the lyrics for Music and Hung Up aren't great either so I don't really get the hate for this. Would you guys have preferred Candy Shop as the lead single? Or Give It 2 Me (which would've flopped really hard if released as the lead single)? Also American Pie and Celebration...those were notable hit singles that promoted their respective albums.

The same goes for MATM, apart from the fact that it's not even a Madonna song it did fairly well and it was released shortly after the VMA's which was a really smart move to promote In the Zone.

Give Me All Your Luvin' deserves to be mentioned due to the fact that it was released as the lead single from MDNA and not just a promotional single as it should've been or even just the b-side to the official first single and not even part of the actual album.

Girl Gone Wild would've been a killer lead single! It's generic but it has produced some of Madonna's most iconic visuals and a lot of non-fans seem to genuinely like it. Too bad the underperformance of GMAYL prevented every other single to be at least a bit successful.

Turn Up the Radio completed the trifecta of immaturity that ended being what ppl imagined MDNA to sound like when it was the exact opposite!

Where is Love Don't Live Here Anymore? A cover recorded in 1985, then remixed and released as a single 11 years later, even getting video treatment and ending up being her biggest flop ever until idk...2003?

I think her worst single has got to be One More Chance. Is M even aware that this song has been released as a single? It was a filler on STR and releasing it as a single has got to be the most pointless thing that happened throughout her career single-wise besides releasing LDLHA. Only difference LDLHA is actually really good.

Dear Jessie is a beautiful song but the fact that Till Death Do Us Part never saw a single-release is still making me incredibly mad.

  11. Since Rebel Heart is not the lead single, I don't think it will be the album title (unless Rebel Heart is the second single, like Ray of light?)...

I think Queen of Heart could be great. And it fits with the red lipstick photoshoot and the interview with the cards. :madonna2:

I suggested this title before #rebelheart happened, I think. Now that you say it I can see it being even more suitable than before.

It kind of combines the bitchiness that comes with being "The Queen" and the more introverted side of her. It's honestly perfect.

    Queen of Hearts ftw!!!!

  12. 1. I'm Addicted

    2. Falling Free

    3. Love Spent

    4. Some Girls

    5. Gang Bang

Gotta give shout outs to BK and especially GGW. I've went from nearly disliking it to having it become a "must listen" to track when I put MDNA on. This album gets critiqued so unfairly. If you take out some of the fluff and sequence the tracks right, you have a damn near perfect pop album.

    1. Girl Gone Wild

    2. Gang Bang

    3. I'm Addicted

    4. Some Girls

    5. I Don't Give A

    6. Turn Up the Radio

    7. I'm a Sinner

    8. Beautiful Killer

    9. Masterpiece

    10. Love Spent

    11. Best Friend

    12. Falling Free

GMAYL, Supertrash, I Fucked (This song) Up and Bidet Song have been banished to the "bonus disc" which would not be worth buying, had the tracklist been as above.

  13. 1) I'm Addicted

    2) Girl Gone Wild

    3) Gang Bang

    4) Love Spent

    5) Beautiful Killer

    honorable mentions:

Best Friend (this song is AMAZING and should have been on the standard)

Falling Free (what a gorgeous ballad. I think it's tied with BK for the fifth spot)

MDNA would've been so much better if GMAYL and Superstar would have switched places with BF and BK. The original sequencing was much better too!

    1) I'm Addicted

    2) Love Spent

    3) Beautiful Killer

    4) Gang Bang

    5) Girl Gone Wild

    :inlove:

  14. I'm sorry, but banning people who are obviously in the know is kind of stupid if you ask me. Let alone childish. This forum is created to discuss rumors, info and spoilers, you can chose to come here and chose to stay away if you do not want to have things spoiled for you. I will have G_O_N_E's back till the end of time, and think it's a downright shame this has happened! Without news we will be here discussing the color of her nails and the fact if MDNA was or was not a good album. Stupid move to ban relibable people, and why? Because some people can't handle the fact that some know more then others? Get over yourselves!

    *rant over*

Thank you, robster! I'm shocked at how this thread escalated! Childish was the key word. I think a lot of the stuff that's been going on in here is childish, usually it's enjoyable but this time? Hell no...that was a mess. If I don't want to know anything about the new album I'll just stay out of this thread tbh. I don't most ppl on here but it seems like a lot had to do with jealousy as well.

Anyway I'm sure everything will be alright again once the album drops. I'm ready for seeing everyone's reactions and the excitement once the 1sr single premieres! :wow:
