Truth is MDNA sold less Hard Candy and Hard Candy sold much less than Confessions. If the next album is truly as good as they say and it's going to sell less than MDNA then i ll take back my words...until then i stand by my humble opinion..like it or not.

I agree with you. It is OBVIOUS the Queen spent less time on MDNA. People who deny this are too desperate to come across as most devoted and loyal to Madonna. You are not any less of a fan when you see things as they are. It is not just you who feels that Hard Candy and MDNA are not as good as they could have been. Many fans around the world feel this way too. Yet we still love these albums for what they are. Personally I like Hard Candy more than MDNA, because it's more consistent with a theme and musical style.
I think it's good that fans defend these albums however. We wouldn't want to turn into negative Madonna bashers. I used to visit allaboutmadonna.com often. But the comments people leave there are pure hate. It's refreshing to meet Madonna fans who love and appreciate her!!

I love Hard Candy. It makes me feel young, full of energy and just overall positive, good vibes!
I listened to Give It To Me and Miles Away to death!! I love Incredible and Devil. Gosh the whole album is brilliant. However, American Life to me personally sounds more like "real" Madonna. Not trying to repeat myself, but I really think it was aimed at religious people in America. Madonna was introducing an alternative to religious beliefs with another kind of spirituality.
I also have this idea that with each album Madonna draws a different group of people. She never really produces generic albums because through each era she reaches out to new listeners.
That's why some like certain albums more than others. As a whole Madonna fans know why they love her, yet they are all very different...

Also, as has been pointed out already, some fans do view American Life as the real Madonna. She said it herself that it was her most personal, and her most favorite album. I think a lot of Madonna's music is the alter ego Madonna, and it was extremely evident in MDNA's Girl Gone Wild. I think in real life Madonna is completely opposite of Hard Candy and MDNA. But this is just my opinion. I swear I don't mean to offend nobody.

It's funny 'cause American life is the least "Madonna" of all her albums: poor melodies, repetitive (and sometimes bad) lyrics (American Life, I'm so stupid), same producer as the previous record thus no new sound basically (just a little bit more folk-ish at times). I'll never get the praise for that record.
I always thought American Life was sort of aimed at religious America. It's as if Madonna wanted to say, hey, I know you're longing for something bigger than yourself, but it doesn't have to be religious. As if she offered some kind of alternative, a spirituality that can give you fulfillment without having you diminish yourself. It was because of this album I personally understood Madonna on a level that is completely different from what she has always been perceived as. I admire every song on that album and to some the lyrics are poor, but to me, every line speaks volumes. To me American Life makes more sense as a kind of a modern spirituality music.

We get along because we are on the level. You understand what I'm doing. Disagreements often happen when people jump to conclusions. I'm direct, honest and very forthright. Some people hate that and think I'm evil. That's cool. Oh and thanks for the compliments of my work people. Hopefully soon I'll be taking film making to the next level. Exciting. Interestingly enough my boyfriend is studying special effects and make up...Is that your voice narrating in the videos? I'm asking because I'm completely in love with that sexy accent!

Hi I'm new here. This is my second post, but I wanted to say that I'm very excited for the upcoming album.
I think Madonna is working very, VERY hard on it. All the people she is writing with, producing with, collaborating with. She has a whole organization of talent working hard on this project. Didn't she even somehow involve Ferrell?
Just have patience you guys. It will be amazing!
