Oh my god, of course this era is going to rock!! She was really passionate about W.E. in 2012 so she promoted it a lot. This time it's just the album and by the looks of it a really good album! She's working hard on it. She will want general public to know about it! Just wait and see guys! And yes, the tour will follow up sometime after the album release, but not until Madonna promotes the shit out of it! I think Guy Oseary may have wanted to release the album the way U2 did, but now changed his mind and Madonna decided for the Spring release.

Interscope have just announced that they've dropped Madonna for not being famous enough.
All we are saying is that we want our Queen to have more exposure. What kind of fan wouldn't want that? What kind of fan wouldn't want people to talk about Madonna in a positive way in terms of seeing her great performances, liking her new single, etc. Personally I will stand by Madonna whatever strategy she chooses. She is a living legacy! She farts and people think it's a new perfume. Yes! We know that! You're not a better fan just because you're a forum god.

Great post!Madonna was spoiled for many years, she hardly had to bother with much promotion whereas other recording artists were out there slave-pimping their asses off to every magazine, talk show, and interview. She could release something and the release in itself garnered attention. These days (and for at least a decade) her presence in the mainstream entertainment market (at least in the US) has been relatively quiet. For most people, their knowledge of Madonna for the past decade has consisted of adoptions, plastic surgery and other various tabloid bullshit. The MDNA album proved that Madonna's name now only sells to her core fan base, after that, its a free fall into pop culture obscurity. At age 56, with 30+ years under her belt, she is still leagues ahead of most, but she has to realize, care and understand that the days of media domination are long over and if she wants to be seen and heard above the mass roar of social media and instant fame whores, she will have to use her star power to do so. Anyone can garner mass attention with the likes of Twitter and Instagram, but not everyone can book appearances on every major talk talk show, etc around the globe. A solid, standout hit and her care and effort into the promotion and Madonna can certainly drum herself up another smash hit.
Im excited for this new album AND the new era because I think she really has a lot of passion for what she's doing and it seems she has a lot to say. I think a better Madonna exposure is on its way

Ok, what I'm on about is that I want Madonna to be talked about more as an artist, a creator of this beautiful era we're about to indulge in. I want people to say they saw her perform last night and she wowed them. This bitch looks great for her age! That Madonna song is pretty awesome! Madonna! Madonna! Madonna! It's only possible if she gets more visibility because of her artistic achievements, not because she wore grills or goes to Kabbalah.What on earth are you on about?
Madonna wears tooth jewellery it's front page news. Madonna is seen on a British airways flight and is trending all over the world. Madonna goes to her kaballah centre in black trousers with tears on the bottom and that is the main article on every media outlet. How on earth can Gaga and Mariah be more visible than her? Two artists that would give up their left arm to have a quarter of the media exposure Madonna gets.

Anyway, we both differ in our opinions on this subject. Let's wait and see how this era plays out. Of course I will always be on Madonna's side whatever she does. This is just what I'm hoping for.

She needs her to put bums on seats!! She needs to do special performances that is broadcast all over. People here don't want her to whore herself everywhere but a performance here and there..
Most importantly her music needs to grab people! Has to be brilliant, people will want to hear brilliant songs on tour.

Exactly! And whoever said that going on shows costs money is wrong. Most hosts would want Madonna on their shows to boost up their ratings. It's a win win situation for both. All she needs is a manager who knows how to work these things out!

So tired of fans thinking doing a bunch of shows is the answer. Its what Gaga and Mariah do, and their careers are over.
And yet they are talked about a lot more in general public than Madonna is. Exposure means relevance. Most people think Madonna is over because she has been out of the spot light for a while. I can't stand Mariah or Gaga, and I want Madonna be more visible than them.

So Madonna should pimp herself on every TV show, chat show etc to sell a few more thousand copies. Forget about her children, forget about a tour just so she can do a few letterman interviews.
Last time we got the most amazing tour, the Super Bowl, and a bloody movie, m still had one of the best selling albums of that year. What more do fans want?
It's 2014! No one promotes albums like they did 16 years ago. No one. Get over it.
No one said she should forget about the tour or her children. But just as she went out of her way to promote W.E., it's only logical that now she'll have more time just for the album!! Oh and exposure is not about making extra money. The money issue is what we are arguing about in the first place! We want Madonna back in pop culture and media in a positive way, for the general public to be reminded of her relevance and young kids to notice her. There is nothing wrong in wishing for that.

Anyone who writes off M or thinks that she cant have another No1 , or sell shit loads of albums is assuming way too much.... Don`t ever underestimate her... Media and fans alike have been doing it for 30 years and she`s still way ahead of the game in so many ways.
Because she is like no other in her field, she can push harder and ensure this new Era is just as strong as any of the other peeks that she`s attained.....
M, is a true one off.. Unique.... No one compares to, or has achieved what she has.. She is the marker for everyone who follows a similar path.. But they will never exceed her track record, both artistically, or in terms of sales, and she still has it in her to hit a home run again....
In order to keep people hooked on the past you have to provide a bridge from the future, So the new music has to have some staying power and be authentic Madonna.... When M is on her game, no one can touch her....!
I still believe it comes down to two things, re M getting huge sales and No 1 records, (whish I feel is still attainable all over Europe); and that is, the music has to be quality. Substance over style......!
"Classic Madonna and Innovation" The two ingredients she`s used time and again to produce music that reminds the public and her diverse collective of fans just how versatile,tenacious and talented this women is...
The promotion is paramount.!!!!!!......... If she can`t get her music on the radio, then she needs it all over the TV... Talk show performances, X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing.. BGT whatever....!.... As long as there are big audiences getting the opportunity to re-connect with M and the music is accessible, she will sell........
Anyone who believes she doesn't need Both of these things in order to secure future bums on seats at concerts is way off the mark....... Even Jesus Christ would need across the board promo if he showed up tmrw with an album to market... .. .

I cant believe some people still write off Madonna quite easily. She cant/will never sell ROL numbers? Well the same was said pre ROL. I remember a publication about the most successful singers in 1996 and they were praising all the other singers except Madonna. When they commented her, it was said that she has been extremely successful, but clearly her best years are behind her. Then ROL came. The same happened in 2004-2005 and then COADF came.
In short, in my opinion, if the material is brilliant and she is inspired and true to herself, success and numbers would come.
Absolutely agree with you!! If this era starts out rich with creativity and freaking amazing album, with Madonna being talked about in media and her busy with promotion schedule, she has a great potential to outdo anything previously done! It is possible, but only through an extensive amount of exposure. Facebook special is not enough. She needs to be everywhere. She has nothing else going on but music this time around. I don't see why not celebrate this era to its fullest. The problem I have with Guy is that he is mostly focusing on tours. I know that's where the money is. I just want Madonna to be exposed more in media so that average person wouldn't bitch that she's not popular anymore. I want more people to notice the Queen. More people to talk about her. There is nothing wrong wishing for this.

About Guy O treating U2 as a dated band... as much as i think that Guy O has only been positive for Madonna's bank account and i don't like his methds, i don't agree with that.
Besides, U2 last album, released in 2009, sold more than 5 million copies! They are anything but DATED.
Well I didn't say U2 are dated. That was my argument that they shouldn't be treated as such. All I really want is for Madonna to come at the world with a storm! I want this era to be full of awesome promotion to remind people of her royal power! And yes I know, she doesn't need to prove herself. She is the Queen of pop after all. But more positive Madonna exposure in media would only serve her well!!

But Guy Oseary is horrible. He treated U2 as a dated band, assuming no one would buy their new album. He pushed them as a free gift attempting to create interest. He treats Madonna as a dated singer too. He doesn't have faith neither in U2 nor Madonna to still be strong and fresh. And if he doesn't take them seriously in that aspect, as a result the promotional strategy is a failure. And how can the general public take U2 seriously after this? Guy needs to realize that even those singers who have been around for decades can still come off as fresh and exciting! He needs to treat Madonna as if she is new!

Madonna may have already made videos. We don't know everything, nor does she reveal everything. I'm thinking whatever she's up to, the album for sure will come out this year.

BTW you are not force to download the album, there's a setting in the music/ipod section where you can choose to show all music, if you do so, you will be able to see everything you bought on itunes since the beginning on your music app, even if it's not on your iphone anymore. You can only listened to it online with a wifi or internet connection or press the cloud button to put it again on your music list. But you have the choice not to!
If your not activate the "show all music" option In that case you wont see u2 album on your ipod and won't be able to download it!
and you have the option to listen to the album and not having it on your ipod! if you don't press the cloud button, it wont be on your ipod for real, only streaming! If you pass by itunes on your computer, you have to go on the itunes store and purchase the album like anybody else but the difference it's that it's free!! There's not "obligation" at all!
Yes but it's already in my cloud, whether I download it or not. I don't like that. Was pissed last night when saw the album on my iPod out of nowhere
