    It's amusing to me that I'm considered less of a Madonna fan (by certain members here) because I like the album version of RH better than the demo. Oh, thank you for shedding your immaculate light on my Madonna fandom. I didn't realize that I was a substandard fan. Never mind that I've loved her for 30+ years. And, spent a shit load of money on her. But that goddamn RH demo blew my cover.

    Now, do I not really like Madonna for preferring the album version of True Blue to the Color Mix? Please let me know 'cause I want to be sure.

    I have to accept the fact that many of my RH faves probably will not be performed. :( There are just way too many songs and I agree with Carta that if she's doing Australia this time, a 60/40 split would be best. It seems like every tour skips that ONE new song I'm dying to see live......with DWT it was Skin, with RIT it was ER, with Confessions it was Push, with S&S it was Incredible and with MDNA it was FF........I predict Best Night will be left out this time just because that's one of the ones I wanna see most. I think the definites are.....

    DEFINITELY prefer the final version, all the way! It's great having the demos and all, but nothing beats the finished product. I think it's interesting that almost everyone on this forum seems to prefer whatever version of a given song they heard first, and claim that whatever version they heard after was inferior...... The demo listening process should only ever happen AFTER an album is officially released ;) patience is a virtue!

    I wouldn't quickly jump into that conclusion.

    Out of the 20+ demos I heard first, I prefer only five of those over the album versions. Oddly it seems that three of them are the same for a lot of members:

    1. Rebel Heart

    2. Wash All Over Me

    3. Beautiful Scars

    I also prefer Hold Tight and Inside Out in their demo versions but that does not seem to be what many think. However, the three mentioned above have been pointed out by many as "preferred" in the demo form.

    The Avicii version of Rebel Heart was never going to make the album. Avicii had been out of the picture for 6 months by the time the leaks happened, and Blood Diamonds and Dahi were already on board. Probably even Kanye at that point. The version she gave us on the album is the version that was meant for us to hear. She never wanted the Avicii demo to surface in the first place, because it had already been discarded at that point. If you look at the sequence of the demos, the one closest to the final came AFTER the Avicii one.

    You can try it with all your fantasies of Madonna releasing the dance demo instead, but it was never meant to be. No, it wasn't a punishment because it was leaked. It was just the natural progression of the song that had already begun before the leaks ever happened. Get with the FACTS and the TRUTH before you start acting like your shitty fantasies are the gospel truth.

    And it's more Nazi-esque to say that EVERYONE knows the Avicii demo is better including Madonna. SAYS WHO? Very pressing question.

    It's cool that you like the demos over the final album version, it's whatever. But don't go around telling people that they KNOW the demos are better because you somehow have inside information that Madonna actually likes that version over the version she chose to represent the song on HER album. Kthnx.

    Hell to the yeah. That dull Secret redux version of RH that made the album (not even the single disk mind you LOL) is just blah. I wouldn't be surprised if she punished it even further by completely ignoring it on tour. Such a pity, considering the leak was so universally loved outwith the M community...which is what a hit pop song needs.

    The real version of WAOM in concert would be glorious (think this tours GGW moment)

    Anyone who prefers the naff 90's disco remix of Beautiful Scars to the glorious original, obviously has a screw loose.

    These people who think they're 'better' fans because they've convinced themselves they're somehow on Madonna's wavelength by preferring album versions are deluded. She clearly said that she completely changed the specific sound of particular songs because of the leaks, whether that meant going back to older versions or whatever ...End of.

    P.S.: I also thought that the uptempo version of WAOM was the perfect tour opener. "In a world that's changing... I'm a stranger in a strange land..." Imagine the chills... but you're probably right. If we get that song at all, it will be on the sit-down guitar section in the second/third quarter of the show....

    That doesn't mean she actually preferred the Avicci version and just replaced it with a "lesser" version for shits and giggles. I love the demo as well but I think the final version's argument is stronger considering M actually chose that one as the way the song should be heard. I bet it would have probably been the same or very similar to the final if the leaks hadn't happened anyways.
