    $2 Billion

    ---

and who is the NUMEBR ONE?

    #8 Madonna

    $800 Million

Madonna is the queen bee of pop music, and her singles, records, concerts, merchandise, and film appearances have netted her an estimated $800 million. The Recording Industry Association of America has ranked Madonna as the Best-Selling Female Rock Artists of the 20th century. She is also the Number Two best-selling female artist in the U.S., with 64 million certified albums sold. Guinness World Records has labeled her the most successful female artist of all time.

    #4 Jami Gertz

    $2 Billion

Jami Gertz is an American actress and philanthropist who has a net worth of $2 billion dollars. Her net worth is mostly derived from her marriage to LA-based billionaire Tony Ressler, the co-founder of Ares Management which has over $40 billion under management. Ressler is a former owner of the Milwaukee Brewers and was once in the running to purchase the Dodgers. Gertz rose to fame in 80s TV shows and films like The Lost Boys and Less Than Zero, and she continues to act in both film and TV.

Does that mean that Janet should be in the list??

  2. and you chose to respond to my comment instead of the one who claimed that BIM is like Harlem Shake? Who's desperate now? People actually have the audacity to call BIM dated and generic while petitioning for the Avicii demos :rotfl:Stay bitter for the rest of your life because the Avicii demos are never gonna get released. :rotfl: Now let me bop to the edgy and gritty and real Rebel Heart album.

From what I read, rocknrolla was pointing out that BIM has no groundbreaking sound. It's new to the GP but Diplo and that sound have been around for a while. He never called it generic or dated.

A middle-to-upper class term to describe the living conditions of the majority of the human populace as seen through indie movies.
The film 'x' was a gritty depiction of life on the streets of NY. Madonna's Rebel Heart is gritty and edgy.
the act of being edgy is basically teenage kids that think theyre cool. hardcore kids seem to think theyre the fucking edgyest things everr.
"why are you wearing that bandanna out of your pocket," says 9th grade homeroom teacher.

"because i'm effin edgy biotch," says asshole.

  3. My point is that most of the other demos sound incomplete or unfinished.

The Avicii "demos", on the other hand, sound like finished products to me, judging by his prior work. So I feel like she simply decided to change direction here.

I posted that WOAM and Borrowed Time were improved, but I still liked the "demos".

I don't care if something sounds a year old or whatever as long as it is good. Eventually everything will sound dated anyway.

Everyone is saying BIM is so fresh when it sounds just like Harlem Shake which is also at least a year old.

Don't worry about the "Gritty & Edgy" moaners. :mohawk:

After all, what do the "disco :queenbitch: queens" know about music?

Remember that Madonna can't sound like anything previously recorded and currently on the radio. :noway:

She's an artist! And she has just released an indie album. She's ARTPOP herserf! :dramatic:

If you listen to Celebration and especially TIC, you will notice how some disco queens don't really get Madonna.

    :madgemanson:

"My Sugar Is Gritty & Edgy!"

  4. I really was enamored with the Avicii demo of Rebel Heart but I have to admit that now I almost exclusively listen to the album version. I do think that the Avicii version is great but the album version is so much more intimate and meaningful (to me). I would be the first to line up and buy the Avicii version if I were provided the opportunity but the album version of Rebel Heart is pretty stellar in of itself. Truly, I think that Madonna should release Rebel Heart as a single but I think that the album version is more unique to all of the other "crap" on the radio that it would be even more well received than the Avicii version. The album version is raw and edgy. I love it and hope that she sings the album version live.

Raw and edgy? It's an MOR rock ditty. It's a great song but let's not get carried away.

  5. Interesting point but I don't really think so with the song Rebel Heart. There is a genuine love for the original leaked version with the Rebel Heart vocoder and over-all pop and euphoric feel. There are so many fans who adore that version so it kind of speaks volumes in a way. While I still love the album version ( the chorus is such a killer that it still is one of my favourite songs ) I do admit to loving the demo much more as it was like a complete "event" song if that makes sense. The album version is a lot more subdued and does not pack the same punch.

Not trying to be critical or enter into the demo debate. just personal opinion and I respect everyone's views on their preferences. Wash over me is different because the whole mood of the song was changed completely. I like the demo more but also like the final version as they seem like completely different songs with a different message and mood. In saying that, I am not complaining about the album. Love this album possibly more than any album Madonna has ever released and that is really saying something indeed.

    Amen!

  6. Imagine the final album using most of the demos, it would've been a record full of dated sounds (generic Avicci productions of Borrowed Time and WAOM, Hideaway 2.0, hideous

productions of Holy Water and SEX, etc.) :rotfl:

We would've gotten a very blasé album and thank GOD she gave the final record a more gritty and edgy tone with a subtle sense

of cohesiveness. The only demos that are almost universally preferred are Rebel Heart and Beautiful Scars. Nothing else is "much better" than the final version objectively speaking and these fans need to move on. Am I dying for a HQ version of the RH demo? Fuck yeah but mourning about it for 6 months isn't going to change ANYTHING.

    Gritty and edgy...
