  1. I'm just stating facts. I'm the happiest fan here.

Diplo + a more organic sound, Avicii surprising us with a departure from his usual sound on some tracks, two edgy producers reworking the more sexual song, self-reflective and spiritual themed songs...

Guys, we might witness a new Ray of Light-esque peak in M's careeer. I can feel it. She's coming to snatch weaves and remind the lessers who the queen is. Rising from the ashes that is MDNA like a phoenix.

  2. ^ Unfortunately, that's probably inevitable though. Having the word "Bitch" in the title will be a hurdle.

I think it's the vocals on WAOM that makes it sound like a demo. They just don't sound produced or mixed properly. And there's something kind of tossed-off about the way she's singing them, which I don't really mind, but I have a feeling if the song makes the album the vocals will have been redone.

And I think that RH folky thing has been debunked. It started out folky, then turned uptempo, then ended up somewhere in the middle, which is what was leaked.

Meredith Brooks had a big hit in the 90s called "Bitch" so I don't see the controversy.

  3. what's this sudden obsession with ass in American culture?

It's not sudden. It's been a slow but steady change. I guess one could claim that 2 Live Crew and Sir-Mix-A-Lot's "Baby Got Back" were the first one's to capture national attention. Hip hop and rap culture in general (gangsta rap in particular) has always glorified the booty. In 1999, J-Lo herself made the "booty" a more common conversation. "Back That Ass Up" was a hit the same year. In 2000, the "Thong Song" and "Shake Ya Ass" were another odes to the "assets." Then in 2001, Destiny's Child released "Bootylicious" and it went to number one. So this has been going on for a while. Kim Kardashian I suppose has been responsible for the increased interest of late. "All About The Bass" and "Anaconda" have really made it the body part du jour. J-Lo's "Booty" is just an attempt to milk the "behind" zeitgeist. And with the ever-growing Latino influence in the American culture, the ass is here to stay.

  4. I really don't like this bitch business at all. In Human Nature she declared that she's not anybody's bitch. Twenty years later she's constantly referring to herself as a bitch. Classy.

She said this in the 80's:

“I'm tough, I'm ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, okay.”

In the 90's she wanted to reminded people that she wasn't THEIR bitch.

    Get it?

  5. Madonna's working with "SOPHIE" too, most likely on "Bitch I'm Madonna" alongside Nicki Minaj

And now, we’ve got the word on SOPHIE’s next collaborator: dance music hitmaker Diplo. Speaking to inthemix last week, Diplo revealed that he and the mystery producer have been making music together. “You’d be surprised…me and SOPHIE did a bunch of stuff together,” the Mad Decent head told us, adding that a pair of popstars are in the mix too. “We’re going to be releasing it. I did a record that was literally SOPHIE and Madonna and Nicki Minaj.”

For now, that’s all the info we have on the four way collaboration – but you can count on the finished product leaving an impression. “All I want to do is things that haven’t been done before,” Diplo said. “I want to leave behind those weird things.”

  6. Oh shit. How much did Rebel Heart sell? Did it chart?

The album was actually called Madonut and it unfortunately failed to chart. See artwork below:

    tumblr_lvlukbYw651qa2t0io6_500.jpg

The lead single "We R Superstars" (featuring Katy Perry and Miley Cyrus and a subliminal sample of Unapologetic Bitch that only her true blue fans could hear) failed to chart also because only Madonna was a superstar and the general public obviously did not respond well to the inaccuracy of the title.

The second single "Unpredictable" (featuring Indigo only and not Madonna) predictably also failed to chart since Guy O insisted on non-traditional promotion that included Olga, the dog, being interviewed by Howard Stern (citing that Madonna actually mouths along to her own songs) and Ariel Pink leaking that FACT that he was invited to write for Madonna since she hasn't had a decent song since the first album.

Obviously, this created a backlash which translated to poor sales.
