  1. 0.o that means there wouldn't be any casual fans as the tickets all went to the die hard fan base in minutes. They should have just kept adding more dates to take advantage to make more profits. Was this also the case for Reinvention tour?

Actually, it seemed like all the the ticket scalpers managed to get most of the tickets because the next day there were tons of tickets on eBay. But it also depended on the city/venue. Some probably sold faster than others but I believe everything pretty much sold out right away. She didn't add dates because she had Rocco the year before and back then she was not used to long tours anyway. I don't know about RIT. I missed that one.

  2. Here's another:

Back in 2001, I waited an hour for the AOL pre-sale thing and when it went live I kept clicking and their servers were overloaded and in about three minutes of non-stop refreshing and clicking it was sold out. I bought my ticket on eBay for more than double the original price. Back then no one knew she would tour again every three/four years so I wasn't willing to wait another nine years (little did I know...).

My seat was in the upper upper tier... the floor tickets were going for thousands on eBay. I don't think Stubhub was around by that time. If it was, it wasn't well known. I remember being so happy that I was able to outbid everyone else that wanted that crappy ticket!

$300 was a lot back 2001 for a college student!! The things I have done for Madonna...

  3. You're really comparing Kylie to Madonna? I paid $300 for one ticket for DWT back in 2001. It was all I could find since she hadn't toured for 9 years at the time and the tickets were all sold out in minutes. It's been 23 years for Australia...Good luck![/quote

So getting tickets for any of the Drowned World shows was practically impossible and a huge struggle, even if you had the money?

Yep! Mind you, it was back in 2001, but I waited an hour for the AOL pre-sale thing and when it went live I kept clicking and their servers were overloaded and in about three minutes of non-stop refreshing and clicking it was sold out. I bought my ticket on eBay for more than double the original price. Back then no one knew she would tour again every three/four years so I wasn't willing to wait another nine years (little did I know...).

P.S.: My seat was in upper upper tier... the floor tickets were going for thousands on eBay. I don't think Stubhub was around by that time. If it was, it wasn't well known. I remember being so happy that I was able to outbid everyone else that wanted that crappy ticket! The things I have done for Madonna...

  4. I usally just come here to read "the news", but this time i thought i would join in. Not as easy or niceas one would have expected actually.. :/ but og i have to proove myself, then here goes:

I discovered madonna in 2004 watching I'm goong to tell you a secret. She was three times older than me (I was 15 at the time (and chubby)) when I watched her i thougt, she is stronger than me, faster than me, richer than me and smarter than me. I started training and loosing weight at the same time I discovered her entire discography. In 2005 COADF was realesed and she BLEW my mind again. It's my favourite record alongside Ray of Light. To this day I listen to madonna every time i work out and she still keeps pushing me. I listen to her songs when I'm sad, drunk, in love or just alive! My favourite time listening to madonna is when I'm travelling. I've been to the S&S tour and MDNA tour, but confessions is still my favourite. I love rebel Heart and hope the rebel heart tour will top everything she has ever done. My favourite qoute of hers is "poor is the man whose pleasure depends on the permission of another". So no matter what you think I am about, I don't need your acceptance, but I truly hope for it.

IGTTYAS came out Oct 2005 and COADF in Nov 2005... So she blew your mind again one month later? Still giving you the benefit of the doubt...

  5. i dont understand a thing in this thread. I have no idea what spotify or tidal is. I dont know what 320kps means or lossless. My ears and old and frankly cant tell the difference between nothing.

All I know is there was some event and Madonna looked so awesome and so in control of everything. I have no idea who deadmouse is, and I dont care. Madonna is beautiful and sexy and funny and everyone who is anyone worships her. Nothing else matters.

    Ask Linda?

  6. I get your point. That means ALL of you. I'm not trying to sell you anything, i just truly love the idea of a streaming service that gives the power back to the artist, and just sounds great. Which makes madonna sound great.

My favourite tour opener is drowned world @ drowned world tour, my favourite second act on her setlists is get together on the confessions tour and my favourite closing act is holiday on the re-invention tour. All because i love her vocals. Ok? ;)

Um... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. But stop sounding like an advertiser.

  7. Now this stupid shit along with the video is making the rounds

Madonna & deadmau5 Awkwardly Bury the Hatchet at Tidal Launch

    #Tidal · Trending

Thanks to JAY Z's high-profile launch party for ‪#‎Tidal‬, Madonna and deadmau5 may have finally buried the hatchet.

Thanks to Jay Z's high-profile launch party for Tidal, Madonna and deadmau5 have finally buried the hatchet. Maybe. Sorta.

As you may recall, back in 2012, the dubstep DJ ripped into Madge after she called out "molly" during Avicii's set at Ultra 2012. After his online attack, Madonna insisted the "molly" she was referring to was from an obscure song, but deadmau5 didn't buy it and laid into her hard on social media for allegedly glorifying drug use. It eventually ended in an awkward stalemate.

Jay Z Talks Tidal, Jimmy Iovine & Rewriting the Music Business Rulebook

Fast-forward to 2015 at the Tidal launch party. As a parade of A-list artists filed onstage to discuss their allegiance to Jay's music streaming service, Madonna and deadmau5 were strategically positioned next to each other. Joel Zimmerman, wearing his mau5 head, stuck out his hand for a hearty shake, which Madonna circumvented while going in for a hug.

It wasn't exactly a seamless hatchet burying ceremony, but the message was clear: No hatred between the two.

    Total BS.

  8. A quick introduction:

I have been using TIDAL Hifi under the norwegian name Wimp Hifi for years and its AMAZING!

The norwegian company Wimp/TIDAL got purchased by Jay-Z a couple of weeks ago and made huge headlines here in Norway. The way he is relauncing it and bringing the power back to the artists is truly insipiring.

Not only is the money flow more justified for the artist, producers and writers, but the content around the music is creative and informative. On top of that you get over 35 MILLION tracks in true hifi quality. 4 times the quality of spotify or iTunes.

Quality is the key word for TIDAL, and it's worth every penny. So happy Madonna is on board!

  9. Now Billboard is twisting the facts...
