  1. You let it out, honey.

Madonna is a self made billionaire who wears grillz at 56, fucks ridiculously hot men half her age and barely older than her son, owns Picassos and Warhols and she's supposed to be relateable? That's what's wrong with these post-1990s people. They want the rich, famous, artistic and eccentric to be RELATABLE. Wtf.

What I would do to be able to slap people through the computer screen

It's this generation's reality TV mentality.... if I can't be like the starts, then let's make them be more like me. They're not like you! Yeah, they may come off as relatable but their bank account says otherwise. For example, Gaga dresses like the people at Wal-Mart and asks people to donate their hard earned money to her Emotion Revolution. Meanwhile, she's spending her money (her fans money) on coke, gold wheel chairs, etc...

  2. I remember everyone saying this should have been the first single blah blah and how it was the one song that would be huge particularly in the US...post MDNA,everyone seems to agree she released the wrong singles including TUTR

Whatever, still LOVE it! whether it charted or not

Well, in my alternate universe, she performed it on the Superbowl, it was released as the first single and it went to number one. If a hated song like GMAYL made it to #10 in the US, this would have gone Top 3 at least IMO. Oh, well, by the time it came out there was no steam left for that album. My second favorite song from MDNA, after Love Spent of course.

Off topic but no one else in the world would care to hear this so indulge me, please.... If I was Guy Oseary, MDNA singles would have gone this way:

Buzz single: Masterpiece released in early December with a movie montage for video.

    1. TUTR (performed at the SB) released Feb 1.

    2. Love Spent - released March 23 along with album

    3. GGW - released in May for the beginning of the tour

  3. 9 1/2 a point off because its got a creepy crawly in it and 1/2 a point off because I dont see how her lipstick didnt melt and her perfume didnt vaperize with the blast while she was off in her obvious bomb proof bathroom taking selfies.

    :lmao:

    I know what you mean...

    I'd give it a solid 9 1/2 too!

Lost 1/4 point lost for the Salvation Army TV from the Hollywood set (where's the flat screen?? these old sets don't get digital signal anyway... :chuckle: )

Lost 1/4 point for the TNBT acting @ 2:18. Bless her heart.

  4. Some people don't understand what they did to Rebel Heart from the demo to the album, i don't understand what they did to Hold tight.

The only track I skip.... I get what you're saying. I really liked the demo in all its Britney Spears/Max Martin-esque form.

  5. Dear BIM Haters,

    ibuglQ3OsMzJ6J.gif

BIM may be infantile, below her standards or downright annoying in your opinion... good for you.

However, some of us have loved BIM from day one and that performance last night was LIFE.

I really wish you could relax and embrace the Bitch-Sock-Madonna. Your life could possibly be happier!

Alas, you may have missed three months of this already...

"We go hard or we go home, we gon do this all night... we get freaky if we want! Bitch, I'm Madonna!"

  6. that is the big question... does the Tidal service also allow downloads? imagine paying $240 for a year, then the company goes bankrupt and you don't own any music when it closes... surely they have an incentive for that...

I really liked Rhapsody back in 2006. I paid about $10 a month I believe and I could purchase 10 songs a month with that. So I had "free" streaming as long as I was purchasing 10 songs every month. I would have and still would pay $30 a month to be able to stream and download 30 songs a month (equivalent to 2 albums).

  7. My problem with Tidal is that its "game changers" don't represent a broad spectrum of the artist community. If it was truly about giving

Also, the hashtag #TidalforALL? As if everyone in the world will be getting Tidal for free on our new government music program. Lol

"Sure, they're really respected musicians, BUT they're all globally renowned business men and business women..."

So, is that a bad thing that they were smart enough to use their talents to create their own fortunes? It's that mentality that keeps those so very talented "artists" from having much impact and success. Apparently good art can't be supported by the corporate aspect of the music business...

    you-are-so-dumb.gif

Why is it bad that someone doesn't want to settle being only a staple at Pitchfork? Who remembers any indie band from more than 10 years ago that had no commercial success?? No one but music snobs or aficionados. And who is Jenny Lewis?? Yeah, she's the one that should be there to advertise this venture.... All of the media would be reporting on that.

I think it's funny how they completely ignore Arcade Fire and Jack White being there. They're far from huge and pretty much indie darlings. Like The Smiths, they were commercially successful and made plenty of money but were always about expressing their art and not producing what was popular at the moment.

    Shut up Marina.

  8. Exactly! Remember paying $20 for a CD of 12 songs? Now, $20 for a month of basically unlimited songs from an unlimited number of artists is seen as "greedy"? Seems a little......well, greedy to complain about that. It's irrelevant how much $$$ these artists already have, this is their work and they deserve to be compensated for it.

Ugh, this generation takes so many things for granted...

Whatever, in the end these artists made a smart move, the amount of money they make from Spotify and such is so little that it really doesn't matter if they quit it altogether. I guarantee you that the majority of the people moaning about the price are the people that don't pay for their music to begin with, so it's irrelevant to Tidal in the end.

If anything, they're positioning themselves as the premier streaming vehicle, a luxury brand. People that have money don't mind spending it, so they eat this up. There are enough people with enough money in this world to back up this business model.

The margins for price-oriented businesses are very low and require a huge amount of turnover to make big profits while the "luxury" business is about huge margins for little turnover. Jay-Z and Madonna know business. I can't fault them at all.

  9. I don't mind the idea of an arena show way more intimate but what worries me is talk of only sydney & Melbourne. If that's right the demand would be immense with people from other states & NZ coming, then she could charge through the roof but would be still hard to get tix especially if she only did a few shows. To be honest it probably wouldn't be worth her while or profitable to come all this way to do that. I think eminem did stadiums a few years back & he made something like $8 or $9m a show if she did all capital city's & 2 shows in each city that would be $80 or $90m way more profitable than say $3m a show in an arena.

It makes no sense to do arenas in Australia and in South America. She will probably do stadiums. It's the 2nd leg of the tour anyway, they can reboot it for a stadium audience.
