Nah you're completely wrong. Why would M knowingly release a "lesser" version of a song? Do you really think she's that much of a fucking idiot? She wouldn't release something she thought wasn't that great.
The album version is amazing and I guess I understand why certain disco queens hate the sound of the guitar driven final.
There's plenty of guitar in the Avicci version. It's not a disco song at all. It's a guitar driven pop song with a glorious synth pop chorus. But you can keep your "testosterone" version.
If liking the pop perfection of the demo makes some of us disco queens so be it.
P.S.: Preferring a version over another does not equal hating the final version. And Madonna herself agreed that she purposely changed tracks that were pretty much finished because of the leaks.

She sent Donatella a bouquet of flowers for her bday last week.

The thing about the uptempo vs the somber versions of this song is that each conveys very distinct feelings.
Although the lyrics are the same, by changing the context (i.e. the sound) the meaning is vastly different. While the euphoric and upbeat tone of the demo paints the picture of someone aware of their queerness (not the sexual connotation) in a quickly changing world, she sounds triumphant in accepting a new chapter in her life. She's ready to face whatever comes her way. At the climatic synth break, it's as if she's ready to be raptured to this new life.
The album version, however, comes off quite the opposite. The seemingly funeral march drums and overall weary tone of the production (or "raw and gritty" to some) conjures a woman that is still in that mourning process of accepting the end and feeling the sorrow that it brings. As she sings repeatedly "over me.... let it wash all over me," one can feel the sense of dread. She's ready to take the blow but she is definitely not looking forward to it.
Maybe that's why I prefer the "dance" version of this song, it is the image that I created of Madonna in my head: the warrior that can conquer all, the Michigan girl that sang early in her career that "I get up again over and over." I appreciate the mature "I can't be a superhero right now" Madonna of today and I don't fault anyone for preferring the album version. But in my book, Madonna will be the one dancing even when the world is coming to an end, because out of all human beings, she's probably the best qualified to do so.
And that's all I have to say about that.

RH demo is only about 1000000 better than the final version and Miss Ciccone knows it.

(little girl voice, a bit retard like Björk or Ellie Goulding)
"Let me flourish, let me meltown
Let this mad, mad world at bay
Let me conquer, let me lay down
Let the sun burn down on me
If only...."

You flops can go and make your own Thatcher thread. I'm deleting anymore of this shite. PEOPLE ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT.
Thank you! A Thatcher thread will be so much fun.
I can't wait to avoid it.

Hilarious how some people love Madonna exercising her right to free speech and lap up all the controversy, crotching a crucifix, shooting people, etc., until she actually says or does something THEY disagree with. Until she offends THEIR delicate sensibilities and pushes THEIR buttons. Shows them up for the pathetic hypocrites they are.
So true!

I don't get why you Aussies who were fans from the 80s simply move out of Australia to London or somewhere for good. Than you can see every madonna tour possible.

"A daiquiri à la fraise right now!"

Madonna and indie are two words that don't belong in the same sentence. Bitch, she's Madonna.
Indie-donna?
RH can be called "experimental" (and that's a stretch) or "less commercial" but it's not an indie album.

I deliberately stayed out of all this Coachelka drama because I think it's utterly ridiculous. But I fully support her anger. Where are all those pop bitches that claim to admire her so much? Not a word from the likes of Miley, Katy, Beyoncé etc. Spineless, industry fabricated clowns with no balls. Too afraid to speak up and doing everything to avoid any backlash? Their silence is just as bad as those vile, ageist, sexist comments coming from those middle-aged, suburban housewives and underfucked queens. Pathetic.

lol...everytime I see ur gifs and posts I cannot take from my head the Modern Family guy saying those words in his usual "relaxed cool" manner

Don't do it Rupert!!
Oh dear, too late.
OMG
When did he become George Bush???

wtf with you queens bashing a gay boy who likes to wear dresses and wants to be the new (male) Madonna
I speak for myself, nothing against a kid aspiring to be the new (male) Madonna but anyone claiming to BE the new Madonna is delusional (whether it's coming from him, Gaga or anyone else for that matter).
BTW, who said kids don't know who Madonna is?
