okay, one last time, and I do hope people READ this time, because sometimes this forum feels like a broken record asking the same questions over and over again!!!
The info about Crave so far:
* Crave is the 2nd single
* Crave is a dance track, produced by Mirwais
* Crave will most likely have a disco feel to it (not 100% sure about this, but 95%)
* Crave will have a music video, the one shot in LA with the drag queens
* Chances are high that this will be performed at Eurovision (and thus be the controversial performance, rumoured earlier!)
* As confirmed by Madonna in a backstage interview at the BBMA’s, the song is about desire and longing!
* Crave has not been leaked yet! Nothing "leaked" from this album so far!Thank you so much for this!!

Wow, FIAH!!
I had to hold my jaw last night. This performance was shockingly good. WAAAYYY above my expectations!
If Medellin doesn't get a good boost from this, we cannot blame Madonna for it whatsoever. She's delivering it and working her ass off!
Yes yes yes! Medellín is an incredible upbeat summer track! She has great chemistry with Maluma! Amazing performance! If it doesn’t “chart”, it’s not Madonna’s fault! Medellín is perfection!

so, is the leak rumour true?
I’m pretty certain the person on the other forum confused it with I Rise. Because Crave definitely did not leak. In fact nothing leaked! Thank god!

Omg really???
No! Not really! God dammit. What was I thinking? The song is amazing! I love the beat and lyrics a lot. Her voice is really different and that’s what took me by surprise at first, but it is actually a really fresh take and something new. I’m starting to think the album will be very rich and diverse! Really excited!!

I agree that the comparison with REVOLVER is like...
I think we haven't heard the same song,
I must apologize to everyone for that god awful post! Never thought I’d do something like that, but there’s a first time for everything. Lol the thing is that I haven’t slept all night and was like a zombie trying to listen to a new song. NOT a good idea! Don’t listen to M’s new music all tired and worn out people!!
-
I’m sorry but this pales in comparison to the amazing Medellín. Just my opinion tho. I’m happy many of you love it. I just don’t like her voice in this song at all. The part where she says “no one can hurt you unless you let them to...” what is going on with her voice? It’s all chewed up and mumbly... Weird. I wasn’t gonna listen to it, but a fried that knows me well said it wasn’t gonna be my favorite anyway, so I listened and yeah... no...

For me, it’s a direct sister to Queen...
No, it’s actuallly a direct sister of “Revolver”. Same voice. Even same cord progression.

Omg I just found out about this!!! Soooo excited!!!!! Yas Queen!! My playlist is gonna be full of Maluma hotness now! Three songs with him! Wow!

Yes, great vocals on Medellin. I thought she sounded a lot like ROL and that's one of her best vocal moments.
Yes! Exactly!

For those who were disappointed with her vocal delivery in Medellin, this one should restore your faith.
Who could be disappointed with her vocals in Medellín that their faith would need to be restored?? Wtf? Lol I’m just a bit surprised, because she sounds so suave, sexy and chill in Medellín, and her voice is pretty clear and beautiful. In fact, her voice is the best part in that song! I just can’t with some people.

Another collab? Okay...
It’s a thing these days. And it doesn’t have anything to do with M being older and needing collabs to get attention. Taylor Swift is not 60 and doing it. Everyone is doing it these days. Especially when it comes to lead singles.

I like the song just fine. It’s not a lead single, but I do like it. And I liked the performance. She sounded great, she looked great. I just didn’t like the holograms and think the performance would have been stronger without them. That’s it! And I think that’s what others are saying as well. If you think that’s “shit-slinging” you’re too easily triggered.
And what in your opinion is a lead single? Ariana Grande releases God is a Woman, which was total shit, and everyone ate it up. If she released Medellín as a single, everyone would be all over it too. You realize that people are ageist and no matter what Madonna releases, the result will always be the same, no air play being one of them, which in turn results in less popularity and so on. So just stop! You don’t like this, you don’t like that, blah blah blah shut the hell up

One of her most exciting tv performances in years!! I LOVE IT. My friend was there and he loved it and so did everyone else around him! this makes me so happy!!!
I’m still speechless!! Everything about the performance was literally groundbreaking! I’ve never seen anything like it. It was fun to watch different Madame X personas dancing along to the song. I loved how they appeared with magic dust and then vanished with rose petals. Loved Madonna’s and Maluma’s chemistry together on stage! Such a happy, uplifting song!

There was some briefly but thankfully it quickly got drowned out by the continuing flood of adoration.
Good!!

Besides Madonna being so striking and stunning and powerful, my other favorite part is the holograms. They’re just so cute, like perfect living dolls. I just wanna snatch them off the screen
love the performance overall! Very chill, light hearted, yet fun and upbeat at the same time! The power of Maduma!!

Ah ok....thanks! My two cents on that.....I don't think M is ever going to "retire". As long as she's inspired, I feel she'll keep creating....I think it's just innate for her, it's who she is. If Tony Bennett can perform at 90 yrs old then I def think Madonna can. Obviously, things would take a different shape by that point but still, I don't think you need to worry too much!
Thank you! I needed to hear this. Her full circle comments were making me unsure haha

The song is stalling around 14 million views because it isn't connecting with a lot of people. You can throw around her age being a factor but the song isn't the greatest for a lead single. The video is good and hopefully the show Sunday night will help the single, but she has alienated a lot of people with her "blow up the white house" speech and people don't forget as those comments are echoed on TV shows and mentioned a lot on the News.
Oh my god, would you just stop? No one remembers that White House comment anymore and please, can we not do this “song is not good for a lead single” crap again?

Just out of curiosity, why does it make you nervous?
She has used that phrase before in her career too.
1 minute ago, Jamesh69 said:What do U mean it makes u nervous?
Paranoia I think. I don’t want her to ever stop making music. When she says she has come full circle, I want to make sure that she doesn’t mean her career is now complete. Also, one of my favorite singers had said that before as well, and she hadn’t released any albums since. I’m NOT by any means trying to suggest that Madonna won’t make any more music. All I’m saying is I want to make sure that’s not what M is saying herself. I want to make sure she’s not meaning that her career comes full circle or something.

Love the interview. She’s so cute!! But have you guys noticed she again mentioned his she’s come full circle? That kinda makes me nervous.

The BMA is filmed in Las Vegas, where everything is a spectacle. Madonna delivered what the audience wants to see - especially the holograms
Exactly! One has to be a complete boring tool not to enjoy this performance! I’ve had it with these people.

To think that people judge not only this performance but any performance, video or song by her just from the speakers/screen on a phone, really makes me want to scream tbqh!
This performance was top notch!! Everything and more!! She gave her all for this! She could have just walked around singing, but she made it fun and enjoyable! I loved every second of it!
I made a realization for myself that no matter what Madonna does, people will bitch! Its a sin to complain about this performance! It’s obvious some people are just assholes!
Madonna + Maluma slay Billboard Awards - watch Medellín performance!
