Oh my Soltera is a bop!!! I love the production! It would be a bigger hit than Medellin and better choice for Eurovision than Future, yes it sounds mainstream but general audience are going to love it!!! She sounds like she was having so much fun in the studio 😊

I'm shakin my ass in the gym now! All the solteras put your hands up! Lol

Sorry but it’s NOT better than the Devine Medellín!! Madonna is cracking up in this Soltera song and it’s cute for what it is, and in Medellin she legit sounds ethereal Ray of Light bitch goddess who is chill and mysterious and upbeat all at the same time! So no! Medellín is fire!

Upon more listens, I already like it more and more. I like that this album challenges the first listen litmus test. Many of my favorite M songs across the decades have been ones that I didn’t like at first  listen.

She truly reinvented herself this time!! And it’s not just her hair lol

The 3 songs released so far don't sound like Rebel heart album at all to me.  Shows we all hear things differently.

Medellin is totally different from any Madonna song I have ever heard and the only song I think could be considered similar to any of the songs on Rebel Heart  would be maybe Best Night with Crave.  Even then, they don't sound alike.   They are pretty different but have that same kind of  laid back sexual type groove going on.   I have not heard Future yet so can't comment but as yet,  ,I don't find the 3 songs I have heard are similar to songs from previous albums.

Totally agree with you. Crave kind of reminds me of Best Night. Other than that, neither of the songs sound like anything on Rebel Heart. They’re actually very experimental and something completely different from anything Madonna has ever done before. This is why all these songs catch us by surprise and it takes them time to “grow” on us. It is because Madonna sounds so freakishly different. Something we’re not used to. And personally I’m here for it!! Love this era! It is a breath of fresh air!

    1. Medellín

    2. I Rise

    3. Crave

I’d put these in a similar order as well. But that’s probably because Medellín and I Rise had a chance to grow on me. Crave is a different kind of animal altogether. Not my type of musical genre, but M has made it her own, and it’s definitely growing on me.

  5. Guys I’ve made a conclusion for myself that Madame X is a completely 100% reinvented sound. Something M hasn’t done like ever. All these new songs catch us by surprise. Sometimes upon the first listen, it’s hard to even recognize that it’s our Madonna. And you know what? I’m totally here for it!! This is gonna be a cohesive, stand alone album, with her sound completely reinvented! I’m excited!

  6. Sounds like M finally was able to sing about stuff she’s actually passionate about. This is Freedom reworked and redone and polished into a gorgeous track! I hope the rest of the album is just as free and creative!

Btw, on a side note, I noticed that the melody in some verses remind me Red Roses by Lil Sky

    #magic

This song is doing real magic to me. With each listen it’s like listening to a completely different song, and each song is better than the last. Except that it’s all one song! Wtf? Lol It introduces itself the way no other song ever has! Is this the sound of the future that Mirwais was referring to? Because my ears definitely never heard anything like it before.

Something I love about Madonna is that she challenges me as a listener/consumer of her art. Sometimes upon first listen, it's just so different than my expectations that I almost can't comprehend the sound? Some Madonna songs I fucking LOVE, that I just didn't get upon first listen: Frozen, Music, Impressive Instant, Nobody Knows Me, Die Another Day, American Life, I'm so Stupid, Mother and Father... like I had never heard songs sound anything like these before and I was like, what the fuck am I hearing exactly? I couldn't live without these songs now! So I think it's really cool that nearly 4 decades into her career, she is doing it to us again and coming out with music so fresh and unexpected!

What a great post! Much appreciated. Agreed with you 100%!! When I first heard Die Another Day I couldn’t understand it from any angle. Now it’s one of my all time favorite song lyrically, musically and vocally. The incredible power of Madonna! I’m thrilled for this album!
