  1. Well, I don't know what to think. Off course the "we are here" campaign has nothing to do with Madonna, on the other hand, Diplo posted a pic today with Alicia and him on a piano, and Madonna said Alicia was killing it on her record so they could be collaborating. I prefer Alicia all the time over Nicky Minaj or MIA.

  2. Talking about general public and not about Madonna fans this is what I think:

-50+ years old: they probably only know 80's Madonna.

-40-50 yo they know 80's Madonna and 90's Madonna.

-30-39 yo they know 80's Madonna, 90's Madonna and 00's Madonna.

-20-29 yo know late 90's and 00's Madonna (let's say from Ray Of Light to 4 minutes)

-People under 20 only know Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and shitty hip hop, and probably they know GMAYL which is not a good thing /:

  3. Which one would be more disastrous for the fans: 1 - cancelling the show 2 - cut one part of the show

If I was there I'd be pissed cause she cut the first segment but there was a reason for that as there was horizontal downpour getting everything wet. People should be glad she didn't cancel that night.

Of course it's better to have at least half of the show but it's still sad not to have the full version, especially the first part that had the amazing GGW and Gang Bang performances.

  4. South american shows were great becasue the public was great and she loved it but she did cut a few songs in Brazil because of the rain (I think it as LAV and LS) and she was sick at the time so she looked tired but tried to do her best as always. Only Chile concert was a disaster, she skipped the whole first part of the show and began with Express Yourself, I would have been very disappointed if I was a chilean fan, she also had a little meltdown when a fan was smoking during the soundcheck.

  5. Confessions the album had a flawless production, a perfect blend of electronica-disco-pop-euro-dance, the lyrics were good, with generic and personal topics that everyone can relate to. The only things I can complain about are: I Love New York (it kills the flow in the album and the lyrics are just a little better than GMAYL) and that Madonna's voice sometimes is kind of buried into the music.

The album also had a big and brilliant marketing plan, with ads everywhere (even Steve Jobs helped to promote it), presentations in TV shows, awards, a mini tour, the big and epic Confessions Tour, her Abba-ish looks, everything was well planned and executed.

Let's hope the new era recaptures some of that magic.
