The fact that some of you are so greedy to want even more....
I want the fucking songs in a reworked and remastered way on the album! I don't believe that ONE fake insider bc I'm sure after the leak they have definitely been more cautious to not let any information or tracks leak.
The demo we have of VVV for example was from September. (05.09.14.) So I'm assuming that they were stolen much later?
It's not a case of wanting more, it's the fact that Madonna has said that half the songs won't make the album, which, is a shame because there's so many great tracks in this bunch of demos that have so much potential. But, if she's been so inspired to keep writing and making new music, who can argue with that?
I understand we weren't supposed to hear them, but now we have it's strange to think a lot of them will be abandoned.

So lemme get this straight. When those sites reported something bad had happened it was that the files had been stolen?
HOW did they know they were stolen? Did a USB stick with all the demos on it fall out of her purse?
Don't really know what's fact, it's just speculation but it would make sense.

yes, but then they knew about it before their reactions came online, right? I just find that a little weird....if they knew about a leak/that the songs were stolen "xxx months" before the public leak (which surely they must have seen coming), why the sudden rush they keep talking about? they could've beat the leak by releasing the six songs prior to everything....
In August we were informed that something terrible had gone down in the Madonna camp and that it was being dealt with, this must have been the leaks, and the leaks must have been sold to collectors, but when the songs were leaked all over the Internet that's when Madonna blew her top because now everyone had access to her demos, this is perfectly understandable to me.
I'm also happy to hear half the album will be new songs, then we can make a second album with the leaks and it'll all be fresh,l. Shame we won't get to hear the finished products though. Seems like a waster of 30 tracks, surely she'll do something with them?

I was wondering too, I loved the studio album box set, very handy for the car, but they could have done more with it, and a lot of people were unhappy with the obvious scanned artwork, like they couldn't be bothered sourcing the original to get the best print possible, same goes for vinyls.
if they can't be bothered to do it properly then don't do it at all.

So I recently bought COADF on vinyl, I've been excited to hear the album, wondering if each side will be non-stop, but when I put it on my turn table, all the tracks were separate, with silence between songs... I'm not used to listening to the songs like this, I'm used to the amazing seamless CD version, that's how the album should be heard imo.
I normally prefer listening to albums on vinyl but in this case I think I may have to stick to the CD, Let It Will Be not flowing straight into Forbidden Love felt so wrong!!! And there's no alarm at the end of Hung Up!!
How do you guys feel about the unmixed edition of COADF? Do you prefer it? Or do you believe the album should be seamless, played from beginning to end without any time to rest?

I must say I've really enjoyed the entire build up to the release of the album so far, the Instagram posts have been great, it's like getting a sneak peak into what goes on the studio. And having all these demos has got everyone talking and discussing the possibility of the direction the album goes in.
This is shaping up to be my favourite Madonna era! (That I've experienced, i.e. Music onwards)

First of all, they could have made the album 10 tracks?
Jimmy Jimmy sort of sticks to the 50s pop style of True Blue?
Maybe because the word heart was already present in Open Your Heart?
Maybe she didn't want to be perceived as weak by singing about someone who keeps breaking her heart?
Either way I wish it was on the album

I'm like you, I like to indulge in an artists back catalogue when a new album is on the way, especially the previous because I realise that era is officially done and dusted, in the past, no longer the latest addition to the discography, and it makes me kind of sad because of the great times I had listening to it and seeing the tour, but also excited for a whole new era.

Chill the fuck out I was joking!! A few people have previously said the bass sound in the verse sounds a bit like Army of Me but other than that it sounds nothing a like! Jeez why are some people so sensitive on this forum?Are you insinuating that Madonna was listening to Bjork's Army of Me and thought, "Yeah, I'm gonna copy that?" I seriously doubt it.
On another note I had a dream last night that 40 more demos leaked... Imagine that! How many demos are still yet to leak? I guess what doesn't make the album we still have.

It became a hit because I believe the world doesn't know the original exist. I'm from Argentina – the first time I ever heard this song was her version. Remember also it was a different time (I know, just 15 years ago...). So it wasn't as easy to just google the song and learn everything about it. I'm pretty sure I didn't even find out this was a cover until some time later.
The melody is catchy as hell (duh), the production is pleasant... It was also a time when Madonna had a string of smashes, particularly globally.
Pretty much everyone in the UK knew it was a cover, everyone at my school at the time knew the original. I remember the excitement when this was released! Loved the video! It was on the radio and music channels all the time!

Love it, as much as I love Fighting Spirit...what will happen with these songs? could they be part of a posthumous album when she kicks the bucket like around the 2500?

So I've mentioned in a previous thread that I'm currently checking out a back catalogue of unreleased Madonna songs.
I'm literally obsessed with Revenge... Why wasn't it on Ray of Light? Why wasn't it on Music??
I just think the sound of this song was so current in the year 2000 it could have been a bonafide hit!! It would have fit the charts so well.
Anyone else think so?

I just compared it to Nick Kamens version and Madonna's version has so much more emotion in it! The "I see the look in your eyes" section is completely wasted! Sounds so weak from Nick, it's examples like this that show Madonna knows exactly what she's doing and is ultra talented!

Army of Me needs to be on the album!!! I love that bridge "I want to know what you're all about" but like BGO I'm sure they'll get rid of the best bit "always the bridesmaid"
