Just hope not too preachy.
Papa, don't preach!

Medellin took a while to grow on me but then it totally got me. I love it. BIL and Soltera are meh for me

Whereas I can understand people not loving Bitch I’m Loca (I think it’s fun), it’s hard for me to get people not liking Faz Gostoso. What a blast of rhythm and melody that just carries you away. A little bit of fun amidst the dark and thrilling beauty of Madame X.
I agree. Even not being not fond at all of Brazilian funk myself this song totally got me. If I like it, anyone like it too

Those in Brazil may wag their fingers at what I'm about to say but WHO could've foreseen that THIS would be the most well received song on the album (based on streams/views) out of the gate??
On the other hand, she worked with Anitta for a reason so perhaps they should've prepared better.
Exactly. I was one of those who weren't sure about this colaboration ( I am not gonna lie). But I am beyond happy that the colaboration is fire. You are right when you say she worked with Anitta for one reason. She did it with Swae Lee for the same reason and shot a video. Why not do the same with Anitta? It is a good question.

Does Anitta just have that one verse or is she singing in unison with Madonna somewhere else? I hardly hear her on this fantastic song.
She is singing with Madonna on the chorus and in many portuguese passages. Their voices blend very well together.

I don't want to sound negative, but I don't see that happening. The promotion seems to be settled and it affects naturally Madonna's calendar. Now that she is rehearsing for the tour it doesn't seem likely to happen. The video could indeed be shot and released later but the momentum will probably already be gone.

All, don't forget to RATE the album wherever you bought it!
I did iTunes and Amazon all formats since I went crazy and bought all formats.
Most important one is to go to Metacritic site and create a user ID and leave a USER review. Currently it is the best reviewed album of the year by User Score!!!
https://www.metacritic.com/music/madame-x/madonna?recent-sort=userscore
Done. She really deserves all the love and recognition for this album

Ah ok....I figured it was filmed before the song went viral.
I started to watch this one but I just couldn't understand most of it so I stopped....lol
It is really a very good interview. Fantástico (that is the name of the show) also did a very good job when speaking about Madonna and her work and influence. They are very respectful

In fairness, perhaps this interview was filmed before FG went viral? Maybe now that they see there's demand for it, they'll fork out the $$ for video. I hope so!!
The interview was done on 12th of June. The reporter even asks Madonna if she knows what this date means in Brazil (it is the like Valentines Day and she makes a joke asking where are her candies and flowers). So yes, it was filmed prior to the song going viral in Brazil

Cmon M, Faz Gostoso needs a video! It's the most streamed new song from Madame X, it's catchy, everyone is crazy about it
She says that she spent all the budget already and asks the reporter if he is going to sponsor her. He asks: "How much do you need?" and she "hmm...around 300.000 dollars would fit" but she doesn't reject the idea of doing a video for Faz Gostoso

No subtitles but I was still able to understand parts of it. The interviewer is cute too
It is a very good interview. They show much respect and aknowledgment for Madonna and her work. They speak abou how important she is in breaking taboos and how every popstar today has her dna. It is very well done. That is the kind of interview wee need all over the world.

Madame X 9,5/ 10
Hard Candy 8/ 10

We can always try to understand at least. If they had chosen I Don't Search..., I think that Madonna would have been criticized for riding on nostalgia or something. It was better to go with something totally unexpected, which Medéllin was at least for me.
You're right. Besides I think Medellin and Crave were chosen in order to push Madonna in the streaming platforms with the help of strong streaming stars like Maluma and Swae Lee. I only hope that Ms team don't miss the timing for the release of God Control's video

I kinda wish this had been the lead single. It’s a lot catchier than Medellin and it represents the album better.
I agree, but I think M's team adopted the strategy of reaching different listeners through the first feats (Maluma/ Swae Lee) for streaming purposes and reserved God Control to be released now. I personally think it should have been better to release it as first single and then release the feats. I hope it becomes a hit though

Yes!!!! This is the one.
Madame X ranks as my #3 Madonna album. That won't change now and I can say it with confidence.
1. Erotica
2. Ray of Light
3. Madame X
4. Like a Prayer
I still can't place MX exactly but I can already say it belongs for sure to my top 5. By the way Erotica is my favorite album too. I can't Express how much I love it

Yes, the aura of the 90’s is very much present on this wonderful and mysterious track. Though I don’t think it would have been a good choice as a first single, because of its throwback quality. For me it’s simply a standout album track, pure platinum gold.
I agree. It is a great song but it lacks something powerful. God Control has this something. It would have been the PERFECT first single but I understand the strategy Ms team adopted (I suppose I do)

"It's a weird kind of energy
A bizarre thing that happens to be
An abnormal fraternity
And I feel more than sympathy"I wish this part was longer and was more prominent in the song! It's classic Madonna!
Each time I listen to this part I could cry. Really, is so amazing and for me the climax of this album
-
That is an amazing bonus track and a hidden gem. But not for the standard version. It was the right decision to release it as bonus track
-
It is a funny song but for me the weakest on the album (I don't mean it is bad, it is just not as good as all others)
-
I love the demo but I love the album version more. Super energetic and fantastic production
-
Well, it is a lovely song but thankfully it is only on the super deluxe CD. It is for me the weakest track together with Bitch I'm loca
-
Difficult test but:
1. God Control
2. Crazy
3. Faz Gostoso
4. Batuka
5. Killers who are partying
6. Edit: Medellin. This song took a while to grow on me but it has a special place in my heart. MX wouldn't be as fantastic without Medellin
I love the whole album though

Exactly my feelings. My hubby is not a Madonna fan but he loves the album as well. It an example of how touching and universal this album is. I am blown away by this album
