Of course it happens, you're naive if you think it doesn't. Two years year ago, Justin Bieber was supposed to perform to the Beach Club in Montreal. It was officially announced but they canceled everything 24 hours in advance because of contract issues. Same could happens with M.

To cancel a contract is something different to going to a huge event without having agreed (and signed) a contract. I work for a record company and I know what I am talking about. Specially regarding an event in Israel.

  2. Peolpe believing that contractual issues are still to be cleared are really naive. Such big productions are sealed MONTHS in advance. Never in this world would Madonna (or any other artist) flight to Israel a couple of days prior to this big, huge event and then sign a contract there to perform two days later. People, please.

I'd say she should simply perform whichever song does the best job of advertising the album to the general public, or specifically, Europe. I think Medellin has had its chance and it's time to move on from it. The first single was always going to be the one with the most chance to perform well and, if we're honest, it just hasn't . So time to just plug the album.

You are right. I only hope they make the right choice and I am very curious about Future 😉

While a new song is exciting, I feel like it would be a missed opportunity to not perform Medellin. I mean it is the current single after all, getting streamed the most, the #1 song on Radio 2, etc.

I agree. I completely understand and support the idea of releasing different songs to build up the launching of the album, but among the released songs Medellin is the song that most people know and would perfectly fit Eurovision. Besides it has been steady on the streaming platforms and did in its first days much better than Crave (and I Rise). Medellin is an uplifting and catchy song. Performing Crave or Future (which we still don't know how it sounds) maybe not be the best approach imo. But I am hoping that the chosen song really works well on stage and also on the digital platforms.

I haven’t heard it in São Paulo yet. Not even once.

Any other Brazilians here? Os it the same in your city?

That is an interesting question because I would like to know how well the song is doing in Brazil (brazuca aqui 😉 )

The one with Anitta is a cover of another song and won't be disco at all.

Exactly. Maybe it has already been discussed somewhere here but the original version sounds heavily like brasilian funk (which has NOTHING to do with disco. People who expect brasilian funk to sound like disco would probably get a fatal shock comparing both sounds 🤣). I suppose if Mike Dean produced this song he has probably given a more international touch to it, so that the Carioca funk sound doesn't predominate too much, making it easier to listen for international audiences. I can't imagine original brasilian funk would have appeal to audiences outside of Brazil,  that is why it would be a very good idea to have the production of someone like Mike Dean.

She just released an amazing song (probably the best one so far) and all you can think about is the youtube views. The official video will get loads of views I'm sure. And even if it doesn't, it takes absolutely nothing away from this BEAUTIFUL song.

I am not worried about views on YouTube, it is just a detail I wanted to share. No need to be so negative toward such comments

  8. Ok, I surrender, I love this song now. What I don't understand is why the YouTube views are so low. After 24h both Medellin and I Rise had already at least 1 Million views. And Crave was much better received and the comments are mostly positive and show love for M. I really hope this song does well

It’s starting to grow on me. Maybe because it’s not even 6 in the morning and I hardly slept 😄 the very simple production bothered me at first. But the melody and her vocal delivery are very beautiful.

That is how I feel as well. I don't like the drums and this snare bothers me, but I really like the melody, her voice and the lyrics. It is not my favourite but I can understand that many people relate to this song.  I hope it does well on the charts and radio. It is a catchy and sweet song

At first i didn't like at all..  Them I put it on my playlist with I rise and Medellin and now I'm obsessed  😍

I am looking forward to listening to this song! Btw do you know where this gif comes from? Have you ever heard from "carreta furacao"? 😉

  11. I am completely curious but I will wait till friday. I will listen to this song as I listened to Medellin and I Rise and let me get surprised. I love both tracks and think this approach is the right one to present us Madame X. After all these opinions Crave seems to sound  completely different, what I see as positive
