I RISE 10/10
Medellin 8/10
Crave 7/10
-
My favourites have changed after more listens...
I Rise 10/10 > Medellin 9/10 > Crave 7/10
-
I love Crave but it's not hit material.
I doubt she cares about hit singles anymore, as long as the album is critically well received... that's all we can hope for these days.
None of the 3 songs released scream hit single to me, they are all great though and the production so far is very interesting and creative.
I'm not finding this album to be that different to Rebel Heart sonically yet which is a surprise. (except for the much better mixing)
I really need to hear the rest of the Mirwais songs... stat!

It'll be a very good album.
I think it's going to be one of her best.

Medellin is Mirwais track and IMO, the best one from three tracks we got.
Medellin is the most watered down Mirwais track on this album I'm sure.
The Mirwais tracks not aimed to be hit singles will be the ONES.
Don't get me wrong I like Medellin a lot but it's very commercial compared to what Mirwais normally does.

I LOVE Crave !
Those people expecting Disco bangers or Confessions 2.0 are going to be very disappointed with this album.
But it's 3 out of 3 for me, LOVE the direction of this album so far.
I'd say I Rise is the best so far, then Crave then Medellin.
Can't wait for the Mirwais tracks, I think they are going to be Killer (but not disco)
Sure there are more uptempo songs but they will make you dance in a different way

I don’t have any insider rumours or half truths...
All I know is we’re getting another new song this week and I’m excited!
-
I can't stop listening to I Rise, love it !!!
Haven't listened to Medellin for a while...
Don't want to play them too much and ruin the album experience though.

I Rise....RISE
-
Love, love, love I Rise.
this is the Madonna I’ve missed
-
I love I Rise, much more than Medellin.
And the best of Madame X is yet to come I think.
-
She looked amazing! (So did he)
But I don't think the holograms added anything and actually kind of made it a bit messy.
Also wish they'd sung it 100% live and not lip-synced so much.
But hey, she had fun and looked fantatstic!
But to be honest I'm a bit over Medellin, can't wait to hear more new songs now...
-
Yeah I have a feeling that Medellin was originally planned as the second single but things got changed around.
I think we'll get the second proper single/music video in time for Eurovision, with some grat tracks in between.

Super Deluxe Headache

I'm shocked that the next new song we are getting is a Ballad... but shocked in the best way.
-
There’s literally at least a hundred Madonna songs better than Medellin...
but werk, I guess.

I'm glad the vinyl has the darker cover, it's my favourite.
So the Rainbow vinyl has been cancelled?
She should really release another limited colour vinyl with the blonde cover & a different colour record though, fans would buy both.
Lots of new albums have a few different coloured records to choose from.
I think the darker cover should have had Red vinyl and the Blonde either White or Clear vinyl.

I know most of you want the outright dance songs, but all I ask is that Madame X please contain at least two ballads. Three would be great, but I would be happy with two.
I can’t wait for this project.
I think only a third of the album will be uptempo dance songs.
A third will be mid tempo romantic songs and the last third will be ballads.
I think this album will be more like Bedtime Stories and American Life than Confessions on a Dancefloor.
I think it will be a dark and romantic/mysterious album and Medellin is the most commercial song hence the first single.

this is... reductive

@Mat.Guy @humanracin are you talking about Aldo Diaz or the official covers?

The vinyl Art and Standard CD is amazing.
It’s perfect the way it is, love the placement of both her name on the brow and the stitches on the lips.
I feel sorry for fans who feel they need to change the artists vision all the time and are obsessed with changing fonts.

So... Medellin = the Cha Cha Instructor = Eyepatch look but both black and blonde wigs.
