I don't know how many times I have to say it...
Live Nation will tease a big tour announcement like this on their FB page for a few days before it gets announced.
So if LN are silent, I wouldn't expect anything to happen this week.
-
I just don't see how some of you can put super vintage, super dated sound albums over albums like American Life, Confessions and Rebel Heart! I think with each generation pop music gets more polished and perfected. Some of the 80s stuff is unbearable to listen to because of the amount of cheese!! But that's just my opinion so don't burn me please!
Each to their own...
But just because an album was made 20 or 30 years ago doesn't necessarily mean it is "dated"
I agree some albums can sound dated but not "classic" albums.
For me my list goes on the strength of the songs not the production.
Some of my all time favourite albums were made before I was even born!
-
I'm guessing Live Nation will start teaser posts on their Facebook page at least a few days before the announcement.
They do this with all big tour announcements.
I'd be very surprised if it gets announced tomorrow.
I however will not be surprised at any meltdowns that happen tomorrow when it doesn't happen though…
-
What if we hear nothing about a tour tomorrow?
Has Ipex posted anything this last week?
-
OK if its going to be announced on Tuesday then Live Nation will post a teaser on their Facebook page on Sunday or Monday.
Usually they tease these things out for a few days before an announcement to build up the interest and suspense...
-
Big shows like this are usually announced in the Sunday papers though and Live Nation haven't given any hints to a big show announcement yet...
So we may have to wait until the end of next week?

More info. I have some good news and some bad news. Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane confirmed and locked in. Definitely happening. Perth may not. Live Nation needs maximum yield per show to turn a profit and it's doubtful that they can fly the whole thing over to the West Coast just for a couple of shows at a mid-sized arena and still make money, considering the transport costs and how much $$$ Madonna and her team require. So it's likely now that Perth will be scrapped and the tour restricted to the East Coast, with Perth replaced by an East Coast winery show or shows. To me, this is absolutely crazy - I just can't imagine Madonna doing a f*cking winery show, it's the kind of thing a 'heritage act' does in their twilight years - but apparently some big artists have done it and wineries are increasingly becoming a major vector in the Australian concert market. Also, winery shows can easily host 10,000+ - in some cases over 20,000 - so the capacity is akin to an arena or even a small stadium. I'm still shocked at the idea though.
The other thing I can reveal is that the tour is ending in Australia, which is pretty cool IMO. There aren't many Asian dates and there will be no South American dates.
Are the shows still in "Arenas" ?
I could see the "winery" show being at Hanging Rock.
Lots of great artists play there.
But Miranda, I mean Madonna don't wander into the forest/rocks…

Someone just told me Barbara Streisand charged up to $1500 a ticket in Oz back in the 1990's !!!
(Worried face…)
-
Woah everyone is super excited!
I will try to keep calm until this is 100% confirmed.
I knew if she was going to come here it would be AT LEAST 4 cities, maybe 5. (sucks to be Adelaide)
There was no way in hell an act as big as Madonna would play just Sydney and Melbourne
So any further news, dates, venues ???
It would make sense to announce this at the same time as releasing the BIM video.
This means tickets could go on sale as early as 2/3 weeks from now…

Tasmania is a very cool place.
They have really interesting Music Festivals like Dark Mofo and Mona Foma.
I'm going down there to see Antony & The Johnsons and The Irrepressibles in June
Does Madonna know where Tasmania is or if it even exists… no
And some of you people are dreaming if you think that just because she hasn't toured here in years that she can charge whatever she wants and it will sell out.
This tour will struggle to sell if the prices are as ludicrous as some people suggest...
-
I'm kinda over it at this stage.
If she can't be bothered coming here then I can't be bothered caring about whether she does or not...
She came a long way from Material Girl to Ray Of Light, but if these days all she cares about is the amount of money she makes and not her fans?
Well then she's going to lose more and more fans each time she fails to bring her tour to their country.
-
Madonna doesn't care about backlash
If she doesn't want to come here, she wont… simple
Like last time, nothing is confirmed until tickets are on sale, and even then she could cancel.
All her management have to say is she has throat issues, a promoter favourite for cancelling shows...
I'll go to one of her shows if she comes but the long wait for confirmations, rumours of super expensive tickets and todays hot mess in the US don't make me very optimistic.
-
Jeezuz!
I was going to fly to the US from Australia for a show, but so glad I decided to wait to see if she comes here now...
So sorry to hear about all those stung by this, what a mess.
-
I personally don't mind if the announcement and ticket sales take another few months.
This has been the biggest touring year for Australia, it seems like every man and his dog are touring here.
I seem to be constantly buying concert tickets.
So I really need more time to save for her madgesty...
-
Tweed Heads is in NSW
Bwahahahahahahaha! You're right!
I was confusing it with Coolongatta
The confusion of cities and the NSW/QLD border will surely be brought up in the Q&A with M after the show…
-
An unreliable insider told me this morning that Madge is indeed playing Queensland.
But she doesn't want to play in a big arena in Brisbane.
Instead she has opted for an intimate show at the classy Twin Towns in Tweed Heads.
She will come out after the show and meet the fans and chat about everyday things like daylight savings, tickets will fly out the door for this show...
-
No one as big as Madonna comes all the way to Australia to only play Sydney and Melbourne.
New Indie acts…yes, but not Madonna.
She Will do Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth… at least, not sure about Adelaide.
That is… if she does't cancel again
-
She will do at least 4 cities...
-
BIM wasn't the song I wanted a video for the most BUT I am very much looking forward to see what she will do for this song!
She should just make a Video album already, who cares what the general public want, give the fans what they want
After BIM, I need videos for:
Devil Pray (best song on RH)
Joan Of Arc
Unapologetic Bitch
& Body Shop
Surely that's not asking too much?!
-
sigh..
i guess I'm ok with bitch I'm madonna as the third single if it's the diplo mix, but I still want devil pray as a single too
I'm with you, I really want a Devil Pray video, was happy enough with the TV performance of BIM.
-
I think all seated, and yes to VIP packages which will be through the roof $$$ ca ching...
-
I don't think Madonna can get away with charging as much as the Rolling Stones imo
Her relevance in this country has diminished over the years and she's not going to win back fans by ripping them off.
I just don't think she will sell out if they charge up to $600 or more.
I love Madonna but I don't want to pay much more than $300 so I guess I'll need my binoculars LOL
Australia & NZ concerts: officially announced!

Did that include the "Miranda Tour" of the rocks?
