    Didn't Defend Paris originally have something to do with Paris riots & was all'underground' and quite dubious..?

    I'm thinking Brahim started wearing them, M thought they were cool, gritty& raw and she took it upon her to use the brand for her REVOLUTION, replacing 'Paris' with 'human Rights', 'Children's Rights' etc

    It was one of the rare instances when I was embarassed to be a Madonna fan

    I remember my friends having a field day trashing this horrible MJ-lite song and while I usually defend anything Madonna, I couldn't help but think ... you're right :lol:

    No, it definitely wasn't ahead of its time. I thought it was embarrassing how behind it was and didn't like it much when it was first released. I've grown to like it a lot, it's a solid record and there are some great songs on it, but ahead? no!

    IMO the similarities are mainly due to Pharell being involved in both HC and GL, but I don't think DP or Thicke listened to HC and felt inspired ... :lol:

    That clip was recorded after the October 2002 Swept Away premiere and Madonna shortly after throwing both Niki and Donna a baby shower party. It's from late 2003/early 2004 and it's part of Madonna's Men, a cheap tabloidsy UK documentary aired in the summer of 2004 on Channel 4, in which a seemingly drunk Niki discusses Warren Beatty giving Madonna some class and how much Madonna loved Dennis Rodman's .................... feet :chuckle:

    Apart from 'Warren gave Madonna class', I don't find the comments that bad, really. I've always had a soft spot for poor, hungry Niki :lol:

    I hate the BAT setlist. Why the fuck was she doing Where's the fucking Party and where's Spanish Eyes?

    I hate the GS setlist. What's with La Isla Bonita, Everybody, Express Yourself, Like A WIRGIN and I'm Going Bananas? Where are Words, Thief Of Hearts, Bad Girl, Waiting?

    I hate Crazy For You. Thank fuck she hasn't performed that shit in a while.

    Show me the promo for Jump and Sorry. She performed the singles of course but did you ever see her holding a single and saying 'OUT MONDAY, GO AND BUY IT!'? No, you didn't because at that point she'd already realised that it's a waste of time focusing on record sales and if the record company was encouraging her to promote she would make sure she promoted the tour. Fact.

    She did a TON of promo appearances (ie interviews, TV performances, club shows) in Europe, the US & in Asia in support of the ALBUM, long before the tour was even announced

    I won't bother typing it all out, since Suedehead already did. It's common knowledge and most of us were on this very forum when she did the COADF TRADITIONAL PROMO TOUR. Somehow you still think you know better than any of us ... :rotfl:
