  1. After seeing it last year I thought S&S would end up being my least favourite tour (yes, even behind RIT) but then seeing her again this year changed my mind. It was a great show but it's by far not my favorite. Hope she'll go back to performing songs instead of mash ups.

But yeah, all in all it was a great show and a fun time. Can't wait for the next era to start though. Arrivederci HC/S&S !

  2. Did you hear Seal's album produced by Stuart? It brought absolutely nothing new for him and that Killers track "Human" also recalls a bit of COADF in parts, plus many of his remixes follow the same formula.

Mirwais is easily the most diverse producer out of the 3, people think he's a one trick pony because Madonna insisted on keeping the vocoder and the acoustic guitar for AL (he explicitly stated he was over the vocoder by the time of AL sessions). It's not like "Intervention" or "X-Static Process" have his "sound" anyway...

Have you listened to Mirwais' YasPop album? It sounds like a bunch of Music leftovers sung in arabic. He's a one trick pony

  3. I don't get the hate for Stuart. He keeps putting out great and DIVERSE music, keeps evolving unlike Mirwais who's been experimenting with stuttering acoustic guitars and the same bleeps for the past 10 years. He's no more creative than Orbit who too keeps recording the same album over and over again

  4. I hope not. Folcktronica or whatever they described his mixture of acoustic guitar and electro beats is over. He's a one trick pony as his YasPop album proved. All the songs on there sound like Music/AL rejects.

If she'd reunite with an old producer, I'd go for Stuart. The new Zoot Woman album is fresh sounding and quite simply fantastic!

  5. and the EMAs were OF COURSE everything that year. I hat e to brag (again) but I was there in the audience and it was just :wow: One of the most memorable concert moments of my life!

Everybody had high expectations but no one knew what she was gonna look like and what she was gonna do on stage. When she came on she just blew us all away ...

It was one of those classic M performances where everything just seems to fall into place and even her bad/raspy vocals contribute to the greatness of it all.

  6. Why do you say it as if it was ages ago and as if she has actually quit and will never do anything ever again?

Honestly some of you are worse then the press. You should know by now that she goes through periods where people don't like what she does and then when you least expect it she'll be back. "Hung Up" in fact was exactly like that.

Yeah, I'm just one of those people not particularly thrilled with the way things have gone in recent years - in more than one respect.

But, you're right. I've been a longtime fan and I should know what she's capable of ... and I do, which is why i'm still here and follow her. I'm just bored at the moment.

Anyway ... this thread is about the glorious HU so let's not moan but APPRECIATE ... !

  7. ^ agreed.

I don't necessarily mean she should go back to Stuart but just go for something new and fresh instead of "renting" a rapper ... it's M, not the Pussycat Dolls.

I do think Stuart is far from being a one trick pony at all though - contrary to Mirwais or Orbit who produce the same sounds as can be heard on their latest efforts. And that's why I think a reunion with him would benefit both.
