  1. and the EMAs were OF COURSE everything that year. I hat e to brag (again) but I was there in the audience and it was just :wow: One of the most memorable concert moments of my life!

Everybody had high expectations but no one knew what she was gonna look like and what she was gonna do on stage. When she came on she just blew us all away ...

It was one of those classic M performances where everything just seems to fall into place and even her bad/raspy vocals contribute to the greatness of it all.

  2. Why do you say it as if it was ages ago and as if she has actually quit and will never do anything ever again?

Honestly some of you are worse then the press. You should know by now that she goes through periods where people don't like what she does and then when you least expect it she'll be back. "Hung Up" in fact was exactly like that.

Yeah, I'm just one of those people not particularly thrilled with the way things have gone in recent years - in more than one respect.

But, you're right. I've been a longtime fan and I should know what she's capable of ... and I do, which is why i'm still here and follow her. I'm just bored at the moment.

Anyway ... this thread is about the glorious HU so let's not moan but APPRECIATE ... !

  3. ^ agreed.

I don't necessarily mean she should go back to Stuart but just go for something new and fresh instead of "renting" a rapper ... it's M, not the Pussycat Dolls.

I do think Stuart is far from being a one trick pony at all though - contrary to Mirwais or Orbit who produce the same sounds as can be heard on their latest efforts. And that's why I think a reunion with him would benefit both.

  4. Dont forget though, that the Lottery show was a blank canvas. But X factor has a music pretext which is quite disturbing and distracting. While I don't think it is impossible, I don't think it's likely. I mean Madonna is so obviously adamantly against these talent scouring shows.

um, she performed on Star Academy in France and appeared on Missy Elliott's casting show ...

  5. It's definitely her worst 00's album, and in total, only Bedtime Stories is worse. I haven't listened to the album for months and don't have any desire to do so.

I have to say that I really lost interest in her during the HC era. I enjoyed S&S but it just couldn't hold a canlde to CT ... but tastes are different

  6. I was there, GC 3rd row and people were INTO it, everyone was clapping/singing along where I was standing BUT the fuck ups were so obvious, even if you didn't know the show. It was hilarious though :lmao:

The major fuck up was definitely ROL. Think VMAs - only worse. It was obvious that she couldn't hear herself and was COMPLETELY out of tune. Not just a few notes here and there but the whole song. I loved it

I was watching the band on stage while she was out on the catwalk ... "singing" and their facial expressions were priceless. You could see the keyboard player mouth "OH MY GOD" and Monte's eyes were never opened wider, than he smiled.

Once the song was done you could SENSE M's blood boil :D and she just gestured towards her ear. Next thing was the too short mic stand, that then also fell. I'm not entirely sure if this was happening by chance though, I think teh mic stand thing was done on purpose so they had a little time to fix her in-ear sound thingy. Might be wrong though ...

Anyway, the show was great and while I'm sure people in ... Spain or Italy were livelier the Viennese crowd was definitely not dead. These reports are just exaggerated. It IS true though, that people got way more into HU than into GI2M - simply because HU was probably the biggest hit of her career while GI2M was not even a minor one ...

    Also, she was very talkative

I enjoyed it - especially the fuck ups :chuckle:
