  1. ^ I'm sure it will be huge, but don't expect it to perform like 21. It's going to be very front-loaded. I'm sure the holidays will keep it near the top, but expect a big drop after the first week. Another album could definitely sneak into #1 when that happens.

True. 21 was a really unexpected hit - it kept growing and growing as more people found about it until it was the highest selling album of 2011 and 2012. Also, it was realized in the spring, traditionally a much slower selling time with less competition. This time, everyone is forecasting that this will be a monster hit. The GP is totally going to pre-order it for Christmas since it's a perfect gift because she's non-offensive and makes easily accessible, relatable music. The sales will be VERY front loaded this time around.

  2. Guys can you teach me how to save Gifs? When I save and post them elsewhere they show up as stills? :( Is there anything extra I have to do?

I just save them as bookmarks in my browser. That way I can copy the direct URL into websites like this one and it usually works.

  3. When I look at Jake Shears I get a Tina and coke high and the room begins to smell like bareback popper sex on an isle named Treasure Island media. He is always ZONKED out his gourd when I see pics of him.

    :dead:

Now I understand why something always seems 'off' to me in the look in his eyes.

  4. So, first Susan sighting since 1985? Hope we will have some more reports of similar sightings in the future, we need a change after all the Madeena sightings that have been taking place in the recent years!

Girl needs her sun protection! Our pop icon goddess Madonna wouldn't be creamy smooth without Madeena.

  5. Ugh, of course the Daily Mail has picked up on the photo and commented with their usual backhanded ageist BS.

Girl Gone Mild: Madonna finally covers up ahead of her 56th birthday ...days after sharing a racy crotch shot on Instagram

The Material Girl may have finally begun dressing for her age ahead of her 56th birthday next week.

Madonna wasn't her usual provocative self in Cannes on Thursday and looked more granny than Grammy-winner.

The singer was clad in a bizarre covered-up outfit of black-and-white mismatched patterns as she boarded the family yacht.

Madonna wore a below-the-knee floral skirt with demure lace trim, paired with a long-sleeved Adidas jacket in polka-dots with stripes down the arms.

The pop star finished off her look with a floppy, check-printed hat, a paisley-patterned tote bag and white golfing shoes.

Perhaps strangest of all, Madonna wore fingerless black leather gloves by Chanel, perhaps to protect her hands from ageing UV rays, or as a gesture towards the fingerless glove trend she started back in the 80s.

  6. An important thing to keep in mind is that, while she seems to be purposely revealing certain details about the new album, she's never used social media during the creation of an album before. Therefore, we don't have any genesis timelines or guidelines as to the significance of this information in the broader scheme of things. She could very well have done much more or maybe even less than we think just based off of Instagram postings alone.

  7. I agree that was her last real big push as it was certainly the last time she had a full theme, new look for an album...

But it wasn't an album era.

Ray of light was the last time she rolled out full promotion for every single, concentrated on every video.....1998 was FULL of promoting that album!

COADF was like a mini era.

Ray of Light also sold 16 million copies - nowadays, it's impossible to even come close to that. The economics of the business have changed so that it's all about touring, where Madonna is undispuatedly dominant.

  8. From a financial standpoint there isn't much point m doing a lot of promo. What difference it make. She may sell a few more thousand copies. For us fans it will very exciting of course but what's the point. M just needs a great lead single. The music will sell itself.

I think that, with the current music business model, it's better to think of promotion for an album as being promotion for the entire era (including the tour). Yes, Madonna hardly needs any more music sales and earns only a very small portion of her income from it, but being visible in the media and having popular music is incredibly important for selling tickets. For example, I'm sure a big part of why the MDNA Tour had such a big gross was because she had the massive promotional push of the Super Bowl literally days before tour tickets went on sale worldwide.

  9. Word and I can't imagine her resisting a long fat platano cock. They are such horny pig fuckers that can't get enough. Imagine him fucking her pussy doggystyle alternating from cupping those tetas and stroking her clit. She has one hand planted grabbing the bed headboard. Her other hand reaches behind slapping his ass sharply calling him maricon ordering him to fuck her more rough and deeper. Those big low hanging bolas making slapping sounds against her ass each time he thrusts inside her maneating cunt. After they both cum she pushes him off her body and onto floor ordering him to get the hell out and fuck her longer and harder the next night he's snuck into her apartment.

    :chuckle::lmao::rotfl:

  10. Erotica is the hippest Madonna album of them all. Before longing to start a family. Before caring again about commercial success. Madonna enjoyed the artistic journey and the price she paid for going too far destroying forever her image as a "role model". Before Erotica she was a reference for young women to explore their edgier/more sexual side. After Erotica, Madonna was the exclusive property of gay men and anyone else with taste.

How is Madonna currently the "exclusive property of gay men and anyone else with taste" and no a longer an important reference for young women? Admittedly I am a gay man so I don't have a woman's perspective, but Madonna is a still a huge icon for women and brought down major barriers for women to be comfortable expressing their sexuality and still be accepted by society. If anything, Erotica and the Sex book increased this because, as she talked a lot about at the time, she was tackling pornography and sexual themes as a woman fully in control of her work and art. She suffered from such a strong sexist backlash because her doing this deeply threatened the status quo. While of course she's not as big among young women today as stars like Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus, because they are still teenagers and young adults themselves, I know that a lot of women look to Madonna for inspiration and encouragement to express themselves freely when it comes to love and sex and feel empowered to challenge society's conventions.

I was on a British Airways flight from London to New York and the only pop album they had on the IFE was MDNA. I'd always liked Madonna, but I didn't know much about her and barely knew her music so I decided to check it out. I was returning home from six incredibly stressful weeks with family in Sweden and "Falling Free" perfectly captured the feeling of release I had since I was leaving. I'll never forget listening to FF on repeat while watching the sun set over Greenland.

After I returned, I found a copy of American Life for $2 at a local Goodwill (thrift store) and fell in love with the whole album. Once I fully listened to that, I bought a copy of MDNA and started working my ways backwards through the discography.

The rest, as they say, is history - I've been a devoted fan ever since. I've still never actually seen her in concert and this is my first album era as a fan!

OMG I just realized that that was two years ago today! How bizarre is that!?

    It's my fanniversary.

  13. Madonna was really inquisitive about Katy in their V interview and spoke to her as if she was her equal, and Katy totally held her own. I love the fact that she's totally respectful/supportive of other female popstars and doesn't treat them as lesser

Madonna has always been very kind and respectful towards other female pop stars. The only one she's cold towards is Lady Gaga, and that's because Gaga's been so disrespectful towards her (remember, Madonna was quite complimentary towards her in the beginning). The whole "bitch" stereotype Madonna has in the media is an example of the sexist BS they trot out to try to diminish her success.
