Personally, I see no convincing reasons (nor any evidence) why Madonna would go back to working with him and I hope neither does Madonna. IF she rekindles former collaborations, there's a list of people I'd prefer over Shep: Pat, Joe, Pharell, even Steve.
Even more interesting to me would be new collaborators like Brian Eno or Dev Hynes.

A studio album is an album of NEW material that is not tied to any other project which the music act might be involved in at the time of release. The fact thay IB contains new material doesn't change a thing. Without Dick Tracy an IB album wouldn't even exist.

HOW is it possible for a performer who pulls off such an immense feat to be labeled "irrelevant?" Makes no sense, especially considering how in the following year the same performer had THE most successful world tour of the year.

I think that the assets (including the Ashcombe estate and the Punchbowl pub) he received/retained as a result of the divorce settlement were probably worth multiples of the amount of money he had made by himself up to that point. But the fact is he was already a modest millionaire by the time M married him. The rest is speculation as far as I'm concerned (e.g. he may have been a tough negotiator regarding the settlement, etc.).
I realise my previous post in this thread was not directly linked to Love Spent. Sorry about that!
As others already noted above, the lyrics and music of Love Spent were already largely written by others. However, I recall having read somewhere that it took quite some time to arrive at the version included on the album.

Picture took in LA, look at the 2014 pictures thread.
So far I think I have only seen pictures of:
- M going to and from gym with Nicole Winhoffer, one time including Timor;
- Madonna with Timor on what seemed like a date;
- Madonna near sushi restaurant Matsuhisa accompanied by CAA movie agent Maha Dakhil.
Up till now I don't think I have seen actual pictures of M entering or exiting a recording studio (including in the 2014 pictures thread).
I don't question the information provided by moe. I think I just haven't seen any actual related pictures.

I'll remember: what a lovely, delicate and calming life buoy in the raging seas and hostile waters of early 1994. Loved the little string part in the middle. First time I saw William Orbit's name in connection with Madonna (i.e. remix).

I thought Madonna's statement was firm, but fair, without trying to deflect any blame. It was a diplomatic "What are you gonna do?". She didn't try to make herself look better at the expense of M.I.A.

So she's a dummy dressed by someone else. She does not even check her own bra ? Do you really believe that ? Watch the cup again, there never was a bra. The problem is not showing her nipple, the reaction was so silly, the problem was and still is (because it really turned me off Janet whom i liked) the lie. It's because she lied that the video was played on repeat and people had and still have debates about did she ? Or Did she not ? She should have stood by her decision and action like a grown person, she made the situation worst with the lie. I wanted her to say i'm sorry for the ones i offended but i did it on purpose and i did not know a female nipple was such a problem; we are too puritans and nipples are what fed all humans from the moment we were born not that wardrobe malfunction shit.

Regarding the money aspect of the divorce:
- Guy is independently wealthy (already a millionaire before marrying Madonna) by way of his family and his own films;
- In the UK prenuptial agreements are not binding on a court of law;
- Madonna and Guy did not have a prenuptial agreement;
- I assume Madonna and Guy agreed on a Non Disclosure Agreement not to talk about divorce settlements;
- The British press probably played a nefarious part in initial reports that Guy had not received any money, perhaps twisting his statement that the divorce had never been about the money;
- After reports that Guy had not received any money, Liz Rosenberg issued statements about the financial aspects of the divorce settlement to Associated Press and BBC, each mentioning different estimates of the sums involved;
- Days after the Rosenberg statements Madonna and Guy issued a joint statement calling those earlier statements inaccurate and misleading.
It has been suggested in media reports that Guy supposedly said he was happy to have made money from the marriage. This is likely a distortion of a quote from an interview with Details magazine. In the December 2011 Details issue he is quoted as follows: “When you end up with a lot of the things you set out to chase and find that you’ve stumbled into all sorts of hollow victories, then you become deeply philosophical. I’m quite happy that that experience was accelerated for me. I’m glad I made money, in other words. And I’m glad I got married.”
In the end, M and Guy are the only ones who know what really happened and that is how it should be.

I was thinking her broad upcoming schedule would be:
1. Record new album
2. Preparatory work on next movie to direct (ref. her answer on Reddit AMA)
3. Album release
4. Tour
5. Direct next movie
As evidenced in the Genesis Timelines, she has often paused songwriting and recording for other activities. If she REALLY likes the role an if her scenes could be shot in a 1-2 month timeframe, then I wouldn't put it past workaholic Madge to squeeze it into her busy schedule.

No, that is not Monica Berg. Kinda looks like her but it's not.
Anyway, my friend is very close friends with the daughter of Madonna's facialist who's also this woman's facialist. It's complicated but the bottom line is this is how I know who this woman is though I can't remember her name.
My friend told me that Madonna, her kids & some of her crew including her facialist went to this woman's wedding last December at Turks & Caicos (just before Madonna went to Haiti). Apparently, she's one of Madonna's best friends & that this woman is a high-powered movie agent & is responsible for brokering such blockbusters as the Hunger Games. She also brokered W.E. My friend has met her a few times & says she's super sweet & highly intelligent. My friend told me her name & I googled her & she's in the list of the most powerful women in Hollywood. I'll ask my friend her name again so I can post some info about her.
