If its a high metacritic theres also a chance of Grammy attention. Which i would love to see for Madonna.
Grammy's have rewarded many artists for mediocre reviews -- Adele, Taylor, bruno

Meta critic is only used in stan wars? Lol the fuck it, who has time for that shit
I don't participate, but at atrl they drag people for it all the time.
Gaga stans can't say much since her high is 80, and Taylor is always in the 70s. Same with Adele, yet they both have massive sales and Grammy's. So it really doesn't mean much.
It's Beyonce who always seems to get really high scores
-
It's used a lot in Stan wars they can claim she's never had a metacritic score over 90, even though LAP and ROL would have been
-
It's getting harder! Honestly, the Rebel Heart leaks were so easy to find, you could find them all over youtube and elsewhere. This time I would have to download them illegally.
Plus, I know how Madonna feels about it, so I will wait
-
I want all of them, it's just if you don't like them you have to deduct points. (I've only heard the official ones)
The funny thing is, most people criticize MDNA, but they usually disagree on which songs are the best and which are the worst.
-
It's the same thing as rebel heart, she could have put a well reviewed album together, but when you throw things on there that everyone hates like killers, they have to take points off
-
The last 3 never cracked 70, she was stuck in the 60s
Confessions and music were 80, universal Acclaim
-
So I never would have known Bruce had an album out either, I used to be a casual fan
-
The woman had interviewed her before in 2015, the one where she (supposedly) made her take a drink if she asked stupid question. So I wonder what changed since then
-
If we keep getting 80s that's fine but even mdna, rebel heart, and hard candy had some really high scores to balance out the lows
-
The first of these preview songs that I didn't like at all. I will have to listen to it again, though.
So weird it sounds like something Bjork would record.
-
She was not comparing an interview to being raped. She compared having her album stolen to it, the feeling of being violated.
The interviewer didn't approve of the metaphor, and Madonna defended her use if it as a rape survivor
-
Maybe this person was let into her inner circle without an agreement for an article to be written, this is why she's pissed?

I don't get it! I thought that article was nice and sympathetic! And isn't a reporter at liberty to write whatever she/he wants to write? Sometimes I feel like mambo has gotten thin-skinned with time! Of course her age is going to be mentionned! She's a 60 yo pop singer, for crying out loud!
She really should embrace this part of things
-
We did this during rebel heart too
-
Rolling Stone probably is weighed more heavily
-
I that has been alot of her problem, she let's all the personal attacks on social media get to her. I think she could shrug off a bad review or media article before

I think it's a good sign that they despise her but STILL give the album a good review. They can't deny how great it is.
Not if they knock it down a full letter grade
-
She received good scores in the past, though. Just not recently (from Pitchfork)
-
I've heard of adding rappers to get exposure to Urban Radio -- like Sia did with Cheap Thrills, but not the reverse! Again, NOT a rapper, at least in the context of this song!
-
For such a lengthy article, I wish there would have been a more in depth interview. Preferably about the new album!
-
All of the reviewers above have been good to her, even with MDNA and Rebel Heart, I believe, except for Pitchfork. I think Pitchfork might even be impressed with some of the risks she took here??
-
I will just be optimistic and hope for a score in the 70s on Metacritic.

I've got to rant for a second-
Can't some of these motherfuckers write a review about, you know, the actual fucking music and not their personal feelings or agenda against Madonna? She isn't relevant? Who cares you fucking deranged POS. Review the music, thanks. We will decide if she is relevant, not some fucking lowlife who probably hates women because no one will fuck him. Incels have taken over the critics circles. Shove your tiresome, clique back handed compliments straight up your poorly wiped asses.
I also don't need to hear what they think of her talents. There is an agenda there. They throw it in so casually so it seems as accepted fact. Her detractors do it all the time. It is tiresome. We don't need for you to conjecture about how you "think" the song is awesome due to Mirwais or whoever. I wonder what the music of the most successful woman of all time has in common? Oh yes, MADONNA! Funny how many of her collaborators can never duplicate the success they have with her. Oh, it must be all the men she surrounds herself with, right? Yeah, you're onto her secret you incel, melon fucking assholes.
I don't need you to tell me how old she is. I can do math, thanks. While we are at it, how old are you? Whatever age, the way you act and write about Madonna would be embarrassing for anyone who is older than 10. It is hard to believe some of you are taken seriously when you cannot separate your personal feelings from your professional judgement. May your fingers find a chainsaw to run into. She's 60? FOR REAL? No way. Who would've known?
I don't know where the hate and vitriol comes from. No other artists is treated this way that I know of. The disrespect is off the charts yet all you knuckle-dragging fucktards, at the end of the day, have to give a good review when you know the product is quality lest you stand out when everyone else comes out with a positive review and you're the outlier. So you begrudgingly give it up, though not without many qualifiers about how she has a few clunky lyrics (don't they all you fuckers? Do you point those out?) or she picks the right people. Lets but real, at the end of the day, you fuckers know it is Madonna who is the talent behind the product you just endorsed though you'll never say it out loud. Shhhh it'll out little secret. Now, fuck off into a beehive.
I KNOW! And it is like 2/3 of the review in some cases, and only a brief mentence of the songs --the worst ones that they hated.

For me, the Rebel Heart Demo curse strikes again! I hadn't listened to it until recently, I was pleasantly surprised and thought it just needed a little something. This wasn't it (if it is indeed the final version that I heard).
