  1. What are some of your favorite lyrics?  Here are some of mine:

I'm just me, that's all I can be

I shake hands with my fate

I don't want to blend, why do you want me to?

Mouth closed, I don't want your opinion

sometimes I feel happy --(OK I just love the way she sings this in Ciao Bello)

  2. I just ran across this on youtube after I had basically forgotten about it.  I was totally blown away, and that is after having been thrilled with this album for two days straight now.  (well I have been playing tracks since May)

I have been so pleased with this era, but damn, now I am a little pissed this song is thrown onto a special edition no one will hear now!!! It's beautiful!

  3. I really, really liked Future, Crave and I Rise from the get go.

But I am really digging the world music/foreign language tracks, which surprised me!  I love Faz Gostoso, Batuka, and Come Alive so far are my favorites. I almost wish she had done a whole album like this.

If it wasn't for I Don't search, I find, would say bringing back Mirwais was a mistake.  I can't seem to finish God Control, I strongly dislike Dark ballet.  I was intrigued by Extreme Occident, but it seems to go nowhere, and it was the worst use of autotuned of any of the tracks.

I absolutely love the drums and the echo back vocal and the tribal feel  but like some others I also feel it would have been more powerful if they left Ms vocals raw and unprocessed.  I suppose it's an artistic choice though to better fit in with the album vibe and also as a juxtaposition of M's futuristic robotic vocals being repeated by the natural unadorned voices of the Batuqueros  - almost as if to say their traditions/songs will still be heard for years to come.  I may be reaching there but I like that sentiment.  I love that she included a song like this on her album-whether you like it or not, you have to feel it's power.

The whole album should have used her natural voice but I have to overlook 😂

^Yep, I just checked- same writer and review. For sure it shouldn't count twice.

And, nope, neither count (easy to be tricked if you look at the Movies list of publications lol)

Yes those are all the same, luckily it doesn't count it's the worst one yet

    Ugh.

Amazon can't deliver my box set till Monday now. And the box set didn't come with autorip. And Madonna shop hasn't dispatched my standard cd either. So I'm listening to a download I found that has surface noise on tracks like Killers and God Control. Unless they deliberately have jumps and crackles?

    Fucking annoyed...

Ok- so I waited for the release and avoided the leaks....

but now I don’t think I can’t wait for my Super Deluxe 2CD to arrive here in the US for the 3 bonus tracks.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for those 3 tracks???

    😉

Back that up is on youtube

I love the album as a whole. But there are 2 songs essential in this album that make it a much stronger effort than what she has done in a long time: God Control is one of those two, the second one is Batuka. Honestly, I keep coming back to these two.

This is the real risk taking song, something only Madonna could have pulled off

according to metacritic, rebel heart has five 80's. nothing higher. MDNA has six 80's and one 91. MX already has five 80's and one 90, so i think it will end up higher than those two and probably hard candy. confessions has an overall 80 so that will be hard to beat.

    I swore I saw a 100 for mdna maybe I'm crazy!

  9. Well her last three were greens, in the 60s. I always think of that as a bad score, a D, but it means generally favorable.

The problem with these reviews is that the best scores, at least those counted for Metacritic, were only 80s. Where even her last three albums had good reviews with higher scores than that.
