I agree with Sloane, BS is probably my least favorite album as whole. I NEVER find myself listening to the album tracks themselves. And Sanctuary was probably one of my least favorite, even of those!
I do a like the singles, especially Secret and Human Nature. The videos from this era were very, very well done.

Most: Some girls, sounds edgy, current
Least: GGW, still hate it

Probably the most shocking moment of her career for me. I was NOT expecting THAT.
Yes, the Hollywood remix should have been the single, should have released it then. But I think it had already officially flopped at that point.
Don't think she was doing it just for shock value. She has slept with women before, so she's not pretending to be bi or anything.
Loved all the media attention afterwards.

Don't Tell Me, perfect combination of lyrics, vocals, production, theme.
-
I was thinking that too, that Prism is just the same formula as TD, only watered down.
-
look for "latch" featuring sam smith
-
Wide Awake was pretty good and more mature.

I would have voted for Disclosure but I never dreamed it would have been a possibility
-
This would be the perfect time for her to jump onto a trend before it's mainstream with them.
-
Disclosure would be the best thing since Mirwais

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anyone ever said the Billboard snippet was from any type of surprise album. They seem to be two totally separate things. It seems as though the Billboard snippet is from an album released in the conventional way perhaps Madonna's, whereas the surprise album is by a totally different artist.
People were getting confused in the other thread -- the one about the shape shifting dance legend.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Like_a_Prayer
mentions Madonna screaming and cursing "profusely" at Pat when a scheduled musician does not show up
-
wrong thread

About the snippet, I like it well enough that I hope it's her. But it sounds enough like previous works of hers that I would be fine with her going in a newer direction.
So either way I win

Oh, I remember reading stories of her foul mouth while working in the studio, etc. Now whether they are true is another matter.
-
I remember reading in one of her bios that she publicly denied being with Sandra, but she told one of her boyfriends that she really had.
-
I hope that sample isn't wasted on Rhianna.
I hope the new album is a fun, fresh, trend setting album that everyone likes, similar to Music and Confessions. I don't need another ROL/LAP self referential type album.

I rememeber a quote, something like this:
I can listen to Crazy for You and it can make me smile. But if you want to talk about the music, the MUSIC that changed changed people, you need to talk a lot more about Chrissie Hynde and a lot less about Madonna. She was singing about hole before there was Hole.
-
I think she definitely is. I remember reading in one of her biographies she has definitely had experiences with women.
-
Would this be the first summertime album release (if it happened)?

Something called "Unapologetic Bitch" will not be a top ten

It didn't bother me since she had sung songs about her mother and discussed her in interviews before. The laying down on the grave I think bothered a lot of people.
And the fact that she did not know where it was located. But she has said her father shut down and did not discuss her mother with them after her death, so it's quite possible they never visited the gravesite as a family.
That picture posted above is strange. That looks like a young girl, but it must be a man because of the name? And an adult, since it is allegedly a professional impersonator. Doesn't even look like her.

I was think of businesswoman = being in charge and knowing what you want. If you let people walk all over you, then will not do their jobs, steal from you, etc. I've never taken it in a bad way.
To be real, she can't do it all herself. It takes 100s of people to keep her business running.
I've always found it interesting her cowriters and producers on her music have never, ever done anything but sing her praises. But I could be wrong.
-
Yes, i think that's right. She knew exactly what she wanted and imagine, her first important video (at least bigger than Borderline) and she wanted this and that and knew how everything should look and those people were smoking and laughing.
That's exactly what I was thinking. I had the same image in my head of the crew screwing around, smoking cigarettes or whatever.
Billboard clip discussion: NOT Madonna. The show is over say goodbye (Say Goodbye)

God, I hope these last couple of rumors are completely false
