  1. here you go again with your STATS :lmao:

and im pissing myself at the ANALYSIS of every minute detail "there is a semi colon between the two names which must imply this" "there are stars on her guitar which means that" :lmao:

excited to see her on stage again, I cant believe its been 8 years since shes done this kind of thing. mad.

Oh, you forgot all about since she hashtaged "it'sasecret", that she must be performing "Secret". LOL!

I love all the speculation though. It's also funny to see people get worked up over assumptions based on very little info we have. In two days, it won't matter, everyone will be creaming in their pants once she is on stage and then after that we will have pages and pages of complaints and critiques in what she should or shouldn't have done. :lmao:

  2. Oh, okay. I got the impression that she was going to be part of the tribute. Does this mean she's performing by herself? Why would they announce her as a performer individually if she's going to duet with someone?

We only have rumors and the LA TIMES article stating she's singing with another nominee. Just mentioning her name doesn't mean she's performing alone. It just means they are not saying anymore than she is performing there. Big name, hoping to bring in more viewers.

  3. not sure if this is true..

he latest performers for the 56th GRAMMY Awards are seven-time GRAMMY winner Madonna; nominees Billie Joe Armstrong (of Green Day) and Miranda Lambert in a special In Memoriam tribute to Phil Everly source Grammy.com

    madonnasworld

That was pulled directly from the first line of the article posted on Grammy.com. Notice the 'semicolon' which separates Madonna from Billie Joe Armstrong and Miranda Lambert who are doing a tribute to Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers. It doesn't mean she's actually performing with them.

  4. She's going there for a reason, and the reason must be promoting artforfreedom, one way or another.

I don't see her doing it while performing with Paul & Ringo. Macklemore maybe, but the obvious choice is Katy Perry since they have joined forces for the project this month.

Like someone above us mentioned, The Grammys usually set up these pairings. They usually put together acts you least expect to be together or reunite acts. I'm not saying she doesn't have an agenda as most artists do, but I have a feeling she was just asked to perform with someone and she simply obliged.

  5. Which compilation do you guys think is better? I'll go with Celebration, there's WAY more songs on it and it gave a better idea of her overall catalogue. The only problem for me is that the songs aren't in chronological order and some important hits are missing.

The Immaculate Collection is amazing too but for me it's just a 80's greatest hits, it doesn't represent her discography as a whole. When i listen to it in its entirety, i just feel something is missing (maybe it's because most of my favorite M songs came after the 80's lol).

You do realize it was released in 1990? At the time, it was the definitive compilation from her with a slight twist. She just didn't slap on the original mixes. She had them remixed.

I do like the Celebration compilation just as well. While I questions a few exclusions and inclusions, it's the definitive collection right now from Madonna.

  6. Ugh please. anyone with half a brain can see that there was nothing racist about what she wrote. I believe it's all about intention...

I totally agree, but much of the world didn't really see it go down as it was intended unfortunately. So many people will be blinded by how the media spins it.

  7. By your reckoning we would have no Like a Prayer video and no Erotica album. Shouldn't be a fan if this is how you view her work and the importance of how the world 'reacts'. :-/

Maybe you meant for this comment for someone else since you replied twice to the same comments by me. Your response makes no sense to what I posted. And your second response post isn't making much more sense in context to what I posted. You're just talking in circles! :manson:

  8. Nipple flashing or wearing grills do not even equate. Going black face on her next album, could very well be taken as disrespectful to a whole race of people. Do you really want her to go down that path just for the sake of creating a controversy or to spark a debate? And what sound reason is there for her to do this? What would she be enlightening the world to, by doing this? And what about the music? In fact, it seems to be already lost in this discussion. I guess the real question is, what are you hoping Madonna will get out of this, by naming her album "The Black Madonna"?
