Do you guys remember this one? I forgot to complain about it back then because I didn't know this was offensive, but now I do. I'm Mexican and Frida Kahlo means a lot to me and our country. Madonna is a fucking racist and as a Mexican I will not stand for it! My life, my dignity, my entire existence have been spat on. She's a damn racist and using pictures of people that inspire her (of another race) to promote her album that means the world to her and is tied with her Art for Freedeom project and everything that matters to her is JUST WRONG and I will not stop until we put a stop to this old hag! This criticism of her is tired and ridiculous. WTF is she supposed to do? Work with Patrick Leonard, Orbit and Stephen Bray forever? She's not allowed to appreciate newer artists and sounds and want to collaborate with these artists? Artists she's influenced, by their own admission?
She's constantly moving forward in her own direction. You may not agree or like what she does — fuck, I think if Hard Candy was all Pharrell, it would have been a classic — but bagging on her for wanting to work with artists that inspire her today is downright insulting. She's not a dinosaur, nor should and will she act as one.
Plus, if Living for Love isn't a revisiting of her own sound from some of her classic work(s), I don't know what is, and Devil Pray, in my humble opinion, could fit right in on AL. Sorry if this turd missed that album over a decade ago. He was probably too busy wishing she's remake LAP again.

Totally agree. I can't get enough of it. It has only grown on me with the passage of time, and I loved it right out of the gate.

Sounds cool! I agree, I wish they would have collaborated - imagine what a hit it would have become! Everyone would have gone wild for the fact alone that the two biggest forces in pop music sing on one song together.
But I guess it wasn't meant to happen, both had different minds, especially back then.
Yes, Michael was too afraid to explore the themes the title implies. I love how Madonna pulled out of what would have been a smash simply because she wanted to go further with it than Michael was capable of going.

^ Lord, she hasn't even begun promo because she's too busy being called a racist for celebrating the spirit and heart of amazing people of color. Once she's done burning crosses on people's front lawns, she'll be right over to promote in Germany.
