Newbies have the same right as all other members who joind this forum a long time ago. People are coming here to discuss and hear opinion of other people. What are newbies supposed to do? To read what other fans have to say and keep their mouth shut.

P.S. I like more songs from MDNA (the good ones) than COADF, Music or AL. But I am objective if I have to rate her albums. I will never claim some of her albums are great just because I like them so much.

Personally, I don't know why peole like so much Masterpiece. It so...sounds like a demo. The chorus is lovely, but the rest... She has always made great ballads, especially during the 90s.
First ballad that I din't like was Devil wouldn't... , which sounds like Justin Timberlake song.
I think she is interested in this new song style she used for LAV/LS on MDNA and now Between The Bars has similar vibe. Maybe a few songs in this style could be on her next album....

Kate Bush made catchy pop songs and so did Barbra and Cher. That means fuck all either way when it comes to creative genius. I think Kate Bush is a great artist and I like her music but putting her on this pedestal is naive and delusional. She's a mainstream artist. Therefore she is POP. Sorry if that's hard for you to deal with but it's a fact.
Well their catchy songs aren't the same catchy songs what other singers are doing now. Kate Bush is art rock artist.

Better in what way? Better because you think so? You may BELIEVE that Stuart can make more serious and mature stuff than COADF but as somebody who is quite aware of his back catologue I know that it isn't what he does best. If you like Stuart then clearly your sensibility is a dance orientated and light sensibility. Stop pretending.
Well COADF is better than MDNA, I guess that is telling something.

professional song writer (Joe Henry, Leotard, Kraviz) + professional "hip" producer (Pettibone, Mirwais, Orbit, Solveig) + Madonna = perfect tune.
Solveig? Come on. He can make catchy tunes with Madonna, but Madonna can do more than that.
Stuart Price is much better producer than Solveig and I believe he can make more serious and mature stuff than COADF.

According to your posts it seems like Madonna is the only one who's got talent. Barbra, Cher and other female icons don't matter.... If some musicians don't make catchy songs it doesn't mean they suck and their music is irelevant.

Mangapop, I know that you hate "catchy weak " songs as you call it. What you don't seem to understand is people have different tastes and can love all sorts of music at the same time. I love catchy pop music but also love classical music and a lot of alternative music. Why on earth do people have to explain their love for songs. It is not rocket science just pure love for music and yes all sorts of music. I love Angel, I love Live to Tell, I love Bedtime story and shock horror, I also love Turn up the radio. No body has to feel guilty about what they like. You have every right to dislike the songs you do but you have to also accept that if others do like them, it does not mean they can't make a difference between her music.
You misunderstood me. I like Angel too, I like catchy songs. There is a lot of generic crap that I like, but I am aware that music isn't someting great.
I wish people are more objective when they are giving opinion about music.
It is OK if fans like Angel and other catchy songs, but I don't undrestand why they praise them and put on the same level with songs like LAP, EY or even BS or Secret Garden.
I said LAV is one of her weakest albums, which is true. Some fans wrote that it is classic pop album. They are right, but it is also weak album.

I don't want new film, I want new music, but it would be intersting if she decides to make a musical with her songs. Something like Chicago or Moulin Rouge, but with Madonna songs.

Tbh i would rather see Madonna work with some brilliant unknown producer like she did in the past. Some of her very best music came from that.

Oh and Kate is NOT a composer. So while she may decide on the content of her songs she can't write all of the musical parts to the exact measure. She's obviously collaborating with session musicians/her band while recording songs.

So if music is popular and successful it is mainstream. Fact. Kate bush is not underground or Avante garde. She is a mainstream artist who is low key. I don't understand people's problems with understanding that POP is not a musical genre.
Kate Bush isn't mainstream. Maybe popular and successful music is mainstream, but I don't talk about success and popularity. I am talking about her music quality.
Mostly mainstream music is just made to top the charts and get some money.

I also don't understand why people seem to have difficulty in admiring Madonna for being popular and having mainstream hits. If you love an artist and their music, it is your taste and choice. It does not matter what genre or style you want to pigeon hole them to be. I love Madonna's music and would still love her music regardless of how popular or critically loved it was. I think she is one of a kind and so far ahead of the other pop queens out there. Does not mean I can't appreciate other artists music as well though.

I wasn't comparing Madonan to Kate Bush. I mentioned Kate Bush as a perfect example of an artist who makes everything by herself.
Anyway, I dont't even see Madonna as a maker of mainstream music. Actually, she has made a lot of that kind of music, but again she made a lot of things which aren't mainstream.

Kate Bush has some great duds in her catalogue like the sensual world and most of all the red shoes. That said the other albums are great enough to forget these misteps. I absolutely love Kate Bush but her music did not shape the popular inconscient and pop culture for 30 years and ihave a problem with musicians who refuses to tour or at least play live.
Sensual World is great. The Red Shoes is just a collection of songs, some songs even sound unfinished, but it is still good.
Kate Bush is genius, every musician should know her work. I wouldn't say it didn't shape the music world. The problem is that many want to make mainstream music, so Kate Bush doesn't fit in that concept.

Im a huge KB fan, but she can't come up with melodies like Madonna. Her strength is in her clever lyrics and theatrical style.
But TUNES...that's Madonnas forte
Well Kate Bush isn't a pop musician. She could make catchy tunes, but she doesn't want to. She doesn't want to be mainstream artist and to be popular like Madonna.
