  1. billiejean, i agree with you when you say that racism is not only for white people. There's a LOT of SJWs on Tumblr and the internet in general who are disgusting racists and they should be called out as such. As a left wing person i find SJWs and identity politics in general to be a cancer, they destroy the left and discredit it for a lot of people. That's what happened during the whole primary campaign, the Hillary campaign only selling point was that she was a woman. Vote for her because she's a woman, voting for Bernie is sexism by definition. That narrative was beyond pathetic and it was a disastrous campaign strategy for the general election.

But it's also very important to understand that minorities are in a GRAVE danger in America right now. Yeah we shouldn't ignore hate crimes against white people but as i said we cannot act as if they're the ones the most in danger right now, that's just a fact. The Anti-Minorities God of White People has been elected US President, so white people are just fine as a whole. Minorities, not so much. Republicans want to act as if ONLY white people are victim of discrimination and they have all the powers in America right now. They're going to actively destroy minorities in the coming years by destroying healthcare, voting rights for black people, mass deportation of millions of immigrants (yeah Obama did it too and it was also inexcusable), keeping any muslim to go in America and take away gay marriage. White straight people as a whole are not going to lose anything.

So my point is: yeah let's not be hypocritical and call out hate crimes evil and disgsuting no matter who the victim is. But let's NOT forget who are the people the most in danger right now in America and in the world. And that's certainly not white people.

Very very true. Honestly I've come to a point where I can't stand any politicians and political party no matter which side they're on. Labour is a mess.. the Tories are acting like tyrants and the rise of far right parties like UKIP is dangerously scary. One of my closest friends has even decided to register with EDL. I was so upset... I spent hours to make him understand it's a racist white supremacist organisation but he's just too angry at everything. It's sad to witness such a huge division and ignorance especially right at your front door. I think this country and its people needs to wake up asap. I sense a lot of Americas must feel the same with Trump in power now.

Exactly. The world is becoming more and more unfair and there's a LOT of angry people who know there's a problem but haven't been able to identify it for what it is, so they vote for far right extremists who will only make things WAY worse in the future. There's nothing more dangerous than people who are both angry AND ignorant, America is indeed going to pay the price for it with Trump. I just hope it won't be too late to fix it in the future.

This video made me wonder. It's being critisised by laborists because they think it's very Ukip-esque. But to be fair, it's incredibly leftie and on point. What do you think ?

I think it's totally on point. Most Labour politicians are no different than the Tories at this point, they're even more hostile to genuine left wing politics than the Tories themselves.

  4. This thread is sad to read, it really shows how divisive politics in general are. I think everyone can agree that hate crimes cannot be accepted, no matter where they come from. I think the reason why people are more sensitive when it comes to crimes committed against blacks, mexicans or muslims is because historically, those people faced constant discrimination, both privately and in the law, and there's still a LOT of racism against them today, way more than against white people. Trump's election is one example of that even if it wasn't the only reason he got elected. Same with the rise of far right parties in Europe like UKIP (i know UK is not part of Europe anymore but still) or the Front National in France, both extremely against minorities. This is quite a terrifying situation and we need to face it seriously. We of course don't have to turn a blind eye to crimes committed against white people, that'd be hypocritical. But context is important, mostly when one group is more vulnerable than the others. There is no political movement against white people in the world right now, but there is a huge political movement against minorities. Let's not forget that.

I don't even understand why racism exists in the first place honestly. Hating someone else just because they have a different skin color or religion is just incomprehensible to me.

First point, "Stronger together" means EVERYTHING. The power structure under which oppressive organisations is at it's weakest when people come together. You thinking HRC is genuine is irrelevant, the phrase means A LOT.

You don't believe for one second? Why? Her past history is evidence enough. HRC (not Bernie) was responsible for the last two minimum wage increases. HRC was responsible for the children's health care program and the office for violence against women, HRC was responsible for getting adequate health care for first responders, HRC was responsible for the bill that Bernie planned to use to "Regulate wall street" and I have not even touched the surface of the work she has done in race relations. You don't have to like her but "not doing anything for America" - what are you smoking, buddy?

What do you mean her votes were inexcusable? How old are you and what do you remember about that vote? I remember George Bush lying and telling everyone about an imminent attack on America, I remember him telling congress and producing (what we now know was fake) evidence of weapons of mass destruction. I remember bush using those lies as justification to go into war. Guess how many democrats voted for that war? 90 percent of them including Biden. Why? because they were lied to. Guess how many democrats have a speech with their vote demanding that the president exhaust all avenues for peace before war? 1. Hillary f**king Clinton. Her speech demanding peace first during her vote for the war is on public record. So what do you mean inexcusable? I'll simplify it so maybe it'll resonate with you. If someone was walking toward you and someone else said to you "that person is going to kill you and all your loved ones, defend yourself" and you did but the person that told you that LIED to you. Who's at fault, you? No. The person that lied. The LIAR is at fault.

I'm sorry but YOU are the one that has been fooled with far left nonsense masterminded by the alt and far right designed to divide the left so they can win the election. You know why the right win? Because the far and alt right don't fight centre right. They empower one another while the far left do nothing but attack centre left and the right ensure that happens by manipulating people like you.

Also, every past SOS has used a private email server. Don't believe me? Colin Powell who not only told HRC to do it but encouraged her to hide it. I can also see you know nothing about constitutional law. I would love for you to show me the criminal statute under which HRC should have been indicted, I have a political Science degree as well as majoring in US politics and am currently studying constitutional law so I'd be super interested to read this statute under which HRC should have been indicted? Show me?
You know what the criminal statute does say to bring criminal charges? I'll tell you:

    - The FBI needed to prove she INTENTIONALLY tried to give classified info to a hostile foreign actor. - Show me an email that proves HRC WANTED a hostile actor to get US secrets? (I have read them all but by all means, if you have one show me)
    - The FBI needed to prove *gross* negligence. How do you prove gross negligence when the woman hired 3 private IT companies to protect her data. Her smaller server was actually safer than the US gov's classified server.
    - The FBI needed to prove the classified documents originated from that classified gov server. For sure they found 3 classified documents but all had been retrospectively classified and did not originate from the US gov classified server. They originated from a .gov server.

In all of US history, not a single person (I repeat) not a single person has been indicted for doing what HRC did. So suggesting she should have been indicted would actually be treating her differently than everyone else because you don't like her. FYI there is precedent for this, there's case law of people not being indicted for doing the same thing. The one example Trump and the far left use is the General and he was caught INTENTIONALLY *key word* giving classified info out and then lying about it.

You do not know what you're talking about and you have a responsibility to know, you failed the US and because of you and others like you, Trump is the president. You have endangered everyone.

Yeah, keep living in your bubble. People like you are the real problem, living in la la land and supporting corporatist sellout warmongers like Hillary. She fucked up with the emails and the FBI itself recognised it.

And there's NOTHING "far left" about me, you guys in America are SO FAR into right wing politics that you don't even know what left wing politics are anymore. There is no left anymore in America, both parties are right wing, one is just more moderate than the other. There was NOTHING left wing about Hillary, she's a centrist at BEST. As i said, wake up. I haven't failed anything, i don't even live in America so try harder with your condescending crap. I wouldn't have voted for her under ANY circumstances.

  6. Brexit is becoming more and more of a mess. I feel like a lot of people who voted for it had no idea of the overall consequences it would have, especially with a Tory government who never thought it would actually happen.

The EU is also a huge mess so i can understand why many people wanted out. But you need to have a plan for the future or things will get worse economically. If the UK get out of the European single market all together, i can't imagine how bad things will be for a lot of struggling people.

Don't feel sorry for the jackasses who voted Brexit purely out of bigotry though, those people will ultimately get what they deserve. They will quickly realise that Brexit will NOT solve their most important problems and that immigrants are not the ones killing off their jobs. Crony capitalism and corrupt governments are the true culprits but they don't get it. It's just easier to just blame immigrants for everything.

That's not true. Her message (or slogan) was STRONGER TOGETHER. It was on everything. And she had detailed policies laid out for a number of issues.

Oh, "stronger together", this cliché feel good slogan that doesn't mean ANYTHING? Such a joke.

Also i don't believe for one second that she would've done ANYTHING for the American people, she flip flopped on every issue possible and is a professional liar. She voted for the Iraq War and the Patriot Act for example, which is simply inexcusable. And that's just two examples. She's also massively corrupt, taking money from Wall Street and all the big corporations. You Hillary supporters seriously need to wake up and realise what kind of horrible woman she was. I'm sure you guys mean well but she fooled you until the end.

Also this whole Comey story wouldn't have happened if she didn't fucked up with the emails in the first place. That's her own fault. She should've been indicted but no, she's rich and powerful of course so she got away with it. The FBI made very clear that not everyone is under the same laws in America.

People from USA will know much better and maybe I'm wrong ,  but to be fair I think the main problem for Hillary was that she was unable to send her message through.  Many conventional parties or politicians refuse to admit that rules have changed and politics now go to the feelings and not to the show.

Hillary didn't even had a message, she just wanted to be president for the sake of being president. She was as much of a megalomaniac as Trump, she just wasn't as obvious about it as him. Her WHOLE campaign was based on the fact that she's a woman, nothing more.

The administration that follows his is going to have one helluva mess to clean up. It's going to be Bush 2.0 on crack.

True. Trump is going to be the worst president America EVER had, i can feel it. He doesn't have any political experience, his IQ is VERY low, he can't control his temperament and his cabinet is full of nothing but complete lunatic fascists. It's going to be a tough 4 years.

Also a lot of people who voted for him, especially independents, will quickly realise that he's not "anti-establishment" as he pretended to be. It was just a campaign gimmick and his stupid supporters believed it. In 2020 he'll be out, i'm sure of it. Even George W Bush had more experience when he became president and he wasn't nowhere near as nasty as Trump in his rhetoric.

thats how its done in most other democratic countries..i don't get it why should let rural decide for millions of others

you have a man on the job who didn't get the most votes, he should not get it

and this is not a minor thing like in 2000, difference is HUGE and favors Hillary, people really wanted her

Not really. Most people in America, both on the left and the right, hates her. Most people just thought she was a little bit better than Trump, nothing more. Her approval ratings are disastrous. A Hillary vote =/= being a Hillary fan. Most people just voted against Trump, just like a LOT of people voted against Hillary. This whole election was an unpopularity contest.

Gah. I don't blame her for not winning. And I don't "blame" him either.

I place most of the blame on progressives who "just couldn't vote for her", millennials who were too cool for her, and a greedy, tone deaf national media who couldn't get enough ratings.

That's pretty much the conclusions I've come too.

This kind of mentality is exactly why Trump won. Hillary was a HORRIBLE candidate and that's just a fact. She's as conservatve and corrupt as you can get from a Democratic nominee. Her foreign policy alone is the exact same as the Republicans: war, war and more war. She also pretty much cheated the primaries to get the nomination. SHE is the reason why she lost, she consistently spitted in the face of progressives in the country. Just because she's an entitled b*tch who think she deserved the presidency just because of her last name. Disgusting. Blame Hillary herself, she's the only one responsible.

And that national media you're talking about was 100% behind her, i hope you realise that? The mainstream media had a love fest with Clinton ever since the beginning of this election. As much as i dislike Trump, he was the one constantly attacked by the medias (and not always for the right reasons).

  12. 33 years later shes barred against people who started last year. Many came, many went away, a few even died. She will always be the icon. The girl whos dream was to rule the world indeed became, the worlds most recognized face of a woman. That just blows my mind.

I feel the exact same way. Her career has been incredible. And what impress me the most is that she managed to have the biggest female career of all time while been constantly vilified by the medias.

  13. Honestly Push is one of my favorite Confessions songs. I really don't know why so many fans don't like it, it's so damn catchy.

Funny, there's a lot of Madonna songs considered fillers that i absolutely love (Jimmy Jimmy, Amazing, Dear Jessie,...). Guess i'm easy to please
