  1. I don't like any of them. So none if them get my vote!!!

The Immaculate Collection - hate the remixes, although the title and packaging are brilliant. The versions of "Into the Groove", "Like A Virgin" and "Vogue" are dreadful.

Celebration - hate the cover, she looks pissed off, not celebratory! Artwork is good, even though there is not enough about her career and the half-arsed thank you note and inlay mistakes are ridiculous. I'm not going to even start on the audio!!!

GHV2 - should have been named "The Second Coming" as this was it's original title. This is the worst compilation of them all. The cover is atrocious, the packaging it's badly designed and extremely dated now. The track listing is random and bad edits.

The winner is "Something to Remember" not because I love it bit because it the best of a bad bunch!

Role on "Madonna The Singles Collection" box set, that's what I want. All remastered, all full versions, artwork to die for and a great detailed inlay on her entire recording career.

Instead we will probably get "The Greatest Hits Albums 1987-2009" box set like the terrible studio albums one. Half-arsed, bad design and uninspired!!!!

  2. This current 10 year contract is her retirement from music plan. There is no way in hell she is going to be touring the way she has been every few years. Live Nation is the biggest global touring company on the planet, so if she does do any tours it will definitely be with them.

She will still release albums but I think she will sign to another label and they will be lower key and more mature in sound. I can see a lot of nostalgic things happening: film based on her life, box sets, compilations, things to keep her in the public eye.

Her next phase of her career will be film directing and movie production, there is no doubt about that. How cool would it be if she went into music video directing for other artists!!!!!

  3. Since we're fantasizing, I would love a remastered album + a bonus disc of the following:

    1. Like a Prayer (7" Version)

    2. Like a Prayer (12" Dance Mix)

    3. Like a Prayer (12" Club Version)

    4. Express Yourself (7" Version)

    5. Express Yourself (Video Mix)

    6. Keep It Together (12" Remix)

    7. Keep It Together (12" Extended Mix)

    8. Keep It Together (12" Mix)

    9. Supernatural

    10. First Is a Kiss

I would have a proper celebration of the album with 3 discs:

Disc 1: original remastered album with bonus tracks of "Supernatural" and "First is a Kiss"

Disc 2: remastered remixes of the "Like A Prayer", "Express Yourself", "Cherish" (extended), "Keep It Together" and "Supernatural"

Disc 3: DVD of music videos of "Like A Prayer", "Express Yourself", "Cherish" and "Oh Father"

    Or

DVD/Bluray of "Blond Ambition World Tour Live"

  6. I think she looks great but I must admit that flights obviously don't help with the cheeks, every time she flies to an event her eyes shrink and her face looks a bit swollen. I don't want to turn this into another cheeks debate but I think the whole SwollenFace thing is to do with flying because at the Secretprojectrevolution launch she looked amazing and her eyes normal.

  7. I want this :

Like A Virgin Deluxe Edition - 3 discs: original album with Into the Groove, disc with unreleased and remixes and Bluray of The Virgin Tour Live and music videos.

True Blue Deluxe Edition - 3 discs: original album, disc with Who's That Girl tracks, unreleased and remixes and Bluray of Ciao Italia or Live in Japan and music videos.

Like A Prayer Deluxe Edition - as above with Bluray of Blond Ambition and music videos.

    Same with Erotica.

    This would be something brilliant!!!!

  8. I used to think they wouldn't release / remaster old things cos sales would not be massive as you say - and therefore what's the point.

But then I keep reading about new remaster / DVD releases of old albums, video material, concerts by the likes of Belinda Carlisle, Kim Wilde, Bucks Fizz, etc. etc.

These things are coming all the time so there MUST be money in it!

If there's profit to be made in releasing (just last month) a newly packaged 3-disc set for a Belinda Carlisle album from 1987 full of remixes, videos, concert footage etc and even a newly filmed interview about the album - then there's profit in releasing ANY old Madonna stuff!!

No matter how poor MDNA Tour sales may have been, Madonna will always have a much much much bigger worldwide buying audience than the likes of Belinda Carlisle or pretty much anyone from the past 30 years (bar maybe ABBA or Michael Jackson).

I agree but unfortunately Warner Bros. don't really have the capacity to pull something like that off (eg Celebration, Studio Albums box set, vinyl rereleases) It is such a shame that we never get any quality products and I doubt we ever will :(

  9. I got my CD today which is not the CDR version. Very disappointed, the gorgeous Klein b/w photos are very bad quality! Like a small photo been blown up, I expected HQ visuals and got this blurry/pixel mess. Shame on you Interscope!!! Also the artwork throughout looks very cheap and looks like it was thrown together one afternoon!!!

  10. In the UK I went into HMV, the double CD, deluxe DVD+CD and DVD all present, but no Blu-ray!!!! Luckily, I bought mine through Amazon, CD was put in the post on Saturday but no news of a delivery of the Blu-ray, I wonder what is happening????? Sounds like that version has been delayed due to the faults :(

Also the artwork online is wrong for the formats, in the UK the "yellow box" logo is only used on the Blu-ray and CD. The deluxe DVD+CD and DVD (which is advertised with the yellow box) have the large "M" logo with "MDNA" in the left corner. Must say the artwork is very disappointing in real life, very bootleg quality. It might have been a good idea to put Madonna's name on a sticker for all the formats as its only on the spine. Non-fans will have no clue who this is by. Another fuck-up. This release is going to bomb due to all this fucking mess!!!

  11. It's strange that the concert is being released with a '15' certificate in the UK, this hasn't happened except pre-Drowned World and all other concert DVDs after The Girlie Show were unrated and simply had an Explicit Lyrics sticker. I wonder why this has been rated, maybe it's seem more as a film???

Also it was passed by the BBFC and the official title is simply "MDNA" as in the UK a films official title is determined by what is seen on screen in the opening sequence (as seen in the Epix special).
