Why don't they leak more interesting things? I'm tired of this "they are spying you". I want a juicy leak with that the politicians really say, plans, etc. And i don't want it in 2027, about things that happened in 2003. I want it NOW.

Agreed! I mean, the odds me and my neighbors have some secret double life are slim to none. Besides porn and some shit I often talk over the phone, what else is there to be found? I want some juicy stuff! Hacked private conversations among politicians, for example. Spy on the Bilderberg meetigs for fucks sake!

Obama changed that. He truly brought hope to the whole world. The fact that that racial barrier was broken once for all meant so much to people who believe in equality for anyone.

This is really stretching things a bit too much.

Whatever the world 'hoped' soon banished. Obama made zero impact on racial barriers across the globe, his strives for 'peace' in the Middle East amounted to a prolonged status quo, and his presidency has deported most people than any other. Apart from the last minute Cuba and Israel affairs that two posters already brought in, I fail to see how Obama made a deliberate positive impact outside his country, sorry.

My god, if Trump had made allegations that it was a Russian source for the DNC and John Podesta hacks, the thread would be on page 1,908!!!

Obama was never fit for office.  And his exit is reflecting his complete and utter inadequacy.

im (not) sorry for the honesty.

I agree, sadly. His last speech just reminded me how much he hasn't done and/or accomplished and how high expectations were initially, to the point that he received the fucking nobel peace prize! So, sorrynotsorry but he just came and went, and can be lumped into the bush and the clinton years as part of the post-reagan package. At least Trump-etas' stupidity is hilarious. Worrisome, but hilarious.

I can only speak for (parts of) Europe. I do not pretend to know enough about the US-Mexico border to say anything about it.

My comments were not directed to anyone in particular @tumbleweedt, just adding my experience to the discussion, that's all. And letting go off the steam of stuff I have been hearing all through the day that just pisses me off. All cool now though, I´l have a drink and go back to mmy normal, apolitical self.

  5. Pfff... I have lived in the border my whole life: Nogales, Tijuana, now Tucson.... People at the border know each other, have family ties, visit regularly.... It's Mexico City and Washington who magnify shit and conspiracy theories. And on that note, whoever wins won't make a damn difference tbqh. The powers that be are not moving the strings of our lives, I hate that myopic vision of the institutional layers of the world as if individual agency was nonexistent. The sun rises tomorrow y'all. Life goes on, fence or not, broken crystal ceiling or not.

Just my 2 cents. I had avoided this thread, but I guess now it's a good time to share the view of someone who has lived in the border all his life.

BTW I'm Trump's biggest fear: a middle class educated white Mexican. Boo! haha

  6. A massive protest is scheduled to take place in Mexico today

I think the Mexican gov't are trying to 'test the waters', so to speak, in case he wins. Like: let's see how crazy he really is and then devicd a plan B in case Hilary doesn't win. But it might backfire for Peña Nieto (current president), who is already hugely unpopular. I already see Mexican left and right clinging on to this and use it in their pre-campaign towards the 2018 elections, lol!
