  1. Living for love-donna looked "good for her age", but Ghosttown-donna is looking good for someone who´s in her late 30s!! Is she doing anything new? Different makeup? Than MDNA skin stuff perhaps? Has any surgery finally settled (if she did have one, which I think she did before HC)? Or maybe she sucked the life-energy out of Taylor Swift as she did with Britney and Aguilera (a service to humanity IMO!)?

All jokes aside, she looks hotter than ever.

  2. Rebel Heart is in some ways, a religious traditional folk album.

    Discuss.

    Yup, Illuminati initiation 101.

LOL, indie's not even a genre. I dunno how it became a thing, just like "alternative" back in the 90s, an undefined term to label anyone doing stuff that could have been easily labeled rock or pop, but it just wasn't "cool" enough.

And we all know she is not commercially indie... So no, RH is pop, with a few other sounds mixed in for added flavor. And commercial.

  3. Sorry guys, but this song doesn't miss anything. It's perferct just the way it is.

I'll be surprised if she sings it live on tour, which is sad because this is so good...

I feel the same way. Messiah is sublime, but as in MDNA where Falling Free got axed, I think that will also be Messiah's fate.

  4. So, after reading this thread, it's obvious that:

    a) She has to be very, very, very careful no to offend about politicians from anglosaxon countries.

    b) She is allowed to admire doubtfuly honest policians from other countries because we know ZERO about them.

Madonna, you can't admire the courage of the woman who destroyed workers right and was homophobe and misogynist, but you can admire, and even copy the style and star as the main role of a film of a woman who took part of a Goverment that promoted TORTURES to oppositors, who took part of a Government that lead the country to a ruin because spent all the money in populism and empovered the middle classes. Simply because we know nothing about it and we live happily about it and singalong to some songs that some dude composed about a cheesy image of that woman.

If she can admire the strenght and full force of Eva Peron, she can acknowledge certain terms of Thatcher. Other thing is that she's tired of controversies that aren't helping her at all and decided to stay out of it.

I agree, her respect for Perón is questionable and laughable. But then, her being an anglosaxon who knows nothing about it, we can blame that on western naivety. But Thatcher? Plus, her political outreach extended far beyond the UK, IMO:

  5. I don't think Madonna overestimates the audience intelligence more so than she overestimates her own. I think she is trying to bite more than she can chew this time around, she should just chill and try to come up with a wiser strategy to fight ageism. Quoting one of the icons of neoliberalism is low, really really low.

  6. I can't understand when somebody doesn't like LFL. I love the song so much, it touches a nerve, a part of my brain connected with my childhood and the vibe of songs like Express Yourself, Open Your Heart, Wheres The Party, Rescue Me... songs that brought euphoria in my living room.

I totally agree. Living for love made me dance around my room again, and got me all excited for the video premire as when I was a teenager and saw Frozen on MTV. LFL is definitely now among my most beloved M tracks!

  7. Yes we are racists and we also kiss expensive bottles of wine (20 dollars) on the weekends while listening to Putina Rubio.

Now seriously tho, equating BIM to Spanish Lesson or Bday song? De cual fumaste?

LOL ok maybe I went too far. But SL has that killer Pharrell production, just as BIM has Diplo's, and then lame lyrics. So that is why I see them as similar. She can release any song she wants, it is just that I really think there are far better tracks on the album, that's all.

  8. Seriously, don't listen to him. He's a Mexican. They're're racist and don't know any better. They listen to Paulina Rubio and Offer Nissim (it's okay, I'm basically Mexican, I can say it)

WTF!! We are not racists! Hip hop is just not a popular genre in the country. I cannot speak for people born or raised in the US and who call themselves Mexican. Two different worlds. I have always noticed that what is popular in the Billboard Latin stuff is just not what we listen to here.

And Bitch I´m Madonna is a cool song. Not single material, but a fun song, like Spanish Lesson or Bday Song.

  9. Great post and it's trus.

All though I think the LFL video is iconic

Agreed, and full of symbolism as well: the parallels between the spectacle of bullfighting and the pop spectacle. Madonna, female, facing the male bulls with their glitzy masks that don´t let them see (distorted reality).... I am no social/Gender´s studies analyst, but IMO, there are lots of things happening in that video, hence the Nietzschean quote at the end.

  10. She does like her latin themes and she does often recreate her videos such as Express Yourself for BAT and Sorry for CT.

Cue LIB (again), Spanish Lesson (remix) / LFL mash-up, Lo Que Siente La Mujer round a campfire with some blokes on guitars.

:dead: Seriously though, for someone always picking up on little known/obscure sides of different cultures, her "latin thing" reeks of Miami.

  11. It's good that she delayed the video release in order for it to coincide with my birthday, it underlines how important I am in the grand scheme of things :1251:

Not really. She´s attending my birthday bash (11th) so she´s gonna be partying and then hungover afterwards, that´s way she pushed the date. :elite:
