  1. Hhhmmmm not listened to it in a while but from what I remember the track that took time to grow was:

    I'm a Sinner

And the track that I liked and now hate with all my heart is:

Turn Up The Radio - what a crappy song! It goes in the bin with GGW, GAYL, Supershit and Shitty- day!!

Love Spent is and always will be the greatest song off MDNA and the most criminal non-single track ever!!

  2. Nah, I think some fans are finding excuses for it's failure and if it doesn't meet up to her past single releases, they immediately call it a "dud" or what not. It seems every time a Madonna song doesn't perform well in popular mainstream, (and that's about all her songs anymore), everyone claims the song isn't good.

It's all about age here. In fact, there are plenty of dull and ridiculous songs doing quite well on radio and the charts (even though, it's subjective). If Lady Gaga, Katy Perry or Rhianna released this song, it would have been pretty big.

Some fans can't just get into their heads, that Madonna's days on the radio and getting top ten hits, are pretty much over. No one over 50 gets a huge hit, unless it's a fluke hit like Cher got with BELIEVE and even that is something that is rare.

Madonna songs are just as great if not better than what she's released in the past. Too many fans put too much emphasizes on charts and radio success when fans should just enjoy the music and not let the charts and radio dictate what they should like or not.

I thought Girl Gone Wild sounded like a dud from the moment I heard it with Turn Up The Radio (also a dud) on that random 3 minute radio megamix. The song is flat and weak, there's no soul or passion. Yeah I like a few bits like "It's so Hypnotic", but there's nothing else. The live version gave it some balls that need but it was still weak - plus it's got those stupid cat like pitch vocals!

  3. I'm sure it would have done slightly better if Rihanna, Katy, Miley or Selena had recorded it, but that would've only happened through hype and major major promo. The song is a total damp squid. M could've never made it a hit. She needed stronger material, she's beyond "InDaClub" tracks and her fan base agrees. You only need to look at the 2 biggest selling songs of this year "Get Lucky" and "Blurred Lines" (Give It 2 Me, again) to see that M doesn't need to be feasting of Britney and Katy leftovers for a hit single.

  4. "Celebration" felt like more of an event here in the UK and that was just a compilation. The single even made it to No.3 and wasnt anything special. I don't think I even saw a TV ad or poster on the underground for MDNA, it just seemed to be in the shops one day with absolutely 0 fanfare.

  5. Just WOW to the guy thinks "Music sounds rushed"

My God! Music anything but rushed, it's 10 perfectly executed pop/experimental songs all with their won personality. It was amazing that she managed to take yet another giant leap after Ray of Light. You wanna hear what a rushed album sounds like, go listen to MDNA.

Also I've never found the album to be too short. For me it's all killer no filler. Plus if on my iPod I've got American Pie, Time Stood Still, Cyber-Raga and Liquid Love as "Bonus Tracks"

Plus is was the first Madonna album I ever bought when I was 11, I couldn't believe what my ears were hearing!!

  6. I agree about the voice. That's why I really like the "pitch shifted" version someone posted on YouTube a few weeks ago:

If someone has an mp3 of this version, I would really appreciate it if you could post it.

Wow this is so much better! Obviously it's not perfect as someone has done this at home. But my god it makes me like a the song bit more. The pitch on the tour version is soooooooooo bad. She'd have been better lowing it.

  7. I'd love her to write one, but I just can't imagine it would be the book I'd like her write, the process of making her shows, writting music, getting famous. I imagine it'll be loads of Kaballah and light stuff with a few mentions of being preggers, kids, saving Africa, charty work, ex-boyfriends - the side of Madonna I dont give 2 shits about!

  8. Awful. I hate both the CD and 7" covers (Why is that random fugly art nouveau font used on the 7"?). They make no sense what so ever. Terrible photograph with a terrible graphic treatment.

Erotica, Deeper & Deeper, Bad Girl and Rain (US Version) all have brilliant covers.

Bye Bye Baby is also dreadful - I love the photo though

  9. What about Tori Amos and Bjork?! They've released thousands of box-sets and remastered bonus things and their careers only started in the 1990's plus their fan-base is far smaller than Madonna's. It's certainly not a money issue it's just that nobody on her team can be bothered to it when there's gyms, perfumes, shows and other crap that is of no interest to anybody to be dealing with! Xxxx

  10. I think Martin made the most of what he was offered from Madonna. I'm sure if she'd have let him get on with it MDNA would have been a better album. Take TUTR for example, the original version sounded awesome but then M came along and dumbed down the lyrics and cut out the best part of the chorus. Also GMAL has a fantastic instrumental but the lyrics are pittyful! I blame M and the mixing master Demo for all of MDNA's short comings.

  11. I want a new madonna performance......not album . I want her to take her time making a really good album. I wasnt very thrilled with MDNA.

I would like to see her do a greatest hits tour maybe. that'd be cool

or maybe do a little mini concert on the today show. That would be great

Im definatly in the mood to see new performances.

You'd rather have a greatest hits tour over new music?!?!

  12. Kevin Reagan pumped out some beautiful stuff.

    That spread was gorgeous!

How did Kevin Reagen get it so incredibly perfect then he just radomly decided to start producing mosterious pieces of design

MY EYES, MY PRECIOUS EYES!!!! I still can't get over the fact these designs were produced by the same guy who did Ray of Light and Music. He even won Grammy's for both and rightly so. My only guess is that he was in a very dark place during the year of 2003 (a very dark place indeed).
