Klein creates some really striking videos, I loved Chung Li, but he's exceptionally bad at editing, it's all over the place, just look at Gaga's.

I really wouldn’t read anything into Mirwais following Jonas. Also I really don’t want him on this project. He did 2 videos for Rebel Heart - enough already. The only oldies I’d like to see her back with would be Mondino, Klein, Renck or Romanek!

I don't really think it rips off Mondino, but I think the lighting aspects, stark color palette, and "close-up face" aesthetics are very similar. That's more filming technique than direct artistic borrowing, but that's just my assessment.
I think the Tellier album cover is definitely referenced in the Rebel Heart cover, but I don't think I'd argue for plagiarism. I bet she liked the idea, but as always, puts her own spin on various concepts. It's not like there is a copyright on wrapping a wire around your head. She also liked the vibe of M/M (Paris)'s work on Björk's Vespertine and Greatest Hits albums which led to the deconstructed, black and white design on American Life. All of this is nothing new.
That’s it!! Wikipedia! I feel ashamed now. Though I’m sure I read that pre-wiki days. It’s certainly similar, but like with all these reference, they’re just that “references”.

If he doesn’t care and is worried about his personal life, why is he plastering this all over social media. Both Instagram and Facebook. He’s done commercial work before.

Because it keep the momentum of the campaign going. You can’t release a single and then the week later the album anymore, otherwise the campaign is dead and everyone forgets.
